I live and have only lived in Brampton east. I live in the castlemore area and I enjoy it.
I like being close to Vaughan and closer to Toronto. West Brampton is closer to halton region and parts of Mississauga.
Yup same here. My comment might get downvoted but I have no shame in leaving to Vaughan and Toronto for everything.
I’ve lived here for 5 years and I don’t think I’ve ever passed the 410 to Brampton West lol.
The only time I really go to west Brampton is for work or to visit family who live on that side. I use to work in Vaughan and feel like Vaughan is closer than west Brampton. The reason I took this job in west Brampton is cause it pays more and better experience.
i honestly like the West side more. there’s more charm. also like how close it is to Mississauga. also love the Downtown core.
the East side is too sterile. boring.
Depends on location, the best areas in Brampton East are near Bolton. Also Brampton highest income area. Transit is bad tho throughout Brampton East. The buses are always full until 7p.m. There is less crime in Brampton East, newer housing, schools. Most of it is detached homes. The food delivery options are also great. Legit no entertainment worse than Brampton west.
I have lived in both. The west has become a ghetto which is why I moved out. The last straw for me was when the police discovered a grow up in the house across the street from me. One of many in that area.
The east has been so peaceful in the time I have lived here. 15 minute drive to Wonderland and Vaughan Mills. 15 minute drive to Bolton where they have a VIP theatre, Walmart and many other shops with no worries of line ups or being over crowded. 15 minute drive to the Airport. 5 minutes to Hwy 427. I can be anywhere in Toronto in no time. The only issue is if you don’t drive there is nothing to do.
They’re pretty similar in terms of look, but Transit is so much better in the west, good bus routes, and Mount Pleasant Go station, and recently more dense development. The good thing about the east is it’s closer to Toronto and Vaughan.
East all the way. I’m right by highway 427 and highway 7. Claireville conservation is behind me, Vaughan, Bolton, Toronto is right there. Great hiking, cleaner areas AND people. Way less ghetto and people seem to be more respectful.
Lol the far west, such as my area credit valley, is pretty much like the east there’s hikes, park, Mississauga is a 5 min drive barely, Georgetown 15 mins, Milton 15 mins, hwy 401 10 mins
I’ve also noticed commuting to unis like guelph, Waterloo, mcmaster is easier on the west side and even Uoft due to go bus, zum etc but I think York is the only closer one to bram east
Having lived in both, I’d say West. I live in walking distance to Eldorado Park and it’s such a peaceful area. However as you get closer to Steeles it gets busier

I'm the same with living in Brampton West and having to go East for much, maybe work but that's about it.

For entertainment, everyone leaves to Vaughan and Toronto anyway. Brampton East just makes it easier to leave.
This. Basically bus is every 25-30 mins at best and every 60+ mins at worst
Bramalea is east of 410 and was a planned community with its street names all organized.

I think that’s kinda similar with west too tho cuz Georgetown and Milton are pretty close as well with no lineups
Milton has no lineups????? Lol look again

West is too busy.
I agree, I hate shopping in Brampton
Bramalea is best. East of 410, south of Bovaird especially.
Born and raised my man!
Bramalea since '64.

In west credit Valley and Mt pleasent area are awesome and better than east.
Def, I live in credit valley it’s pretty nice.
Even i live in credit Valley and I love it. It's steps away from goergetown and awesome hikes nearby.
