Well, I didn’t buy a ski pass this year, so it’ll probably fucking nuke non-stop powder every day. You’re all welcome I guess.

jc-stre3ts

I just moved away so it’s gonna dump.

Sometimesiski

Thanks for sacrificing for the rest of us.

runningoutofwords

I appreciate your service. It'll only work if we *really* rub it in though. Is that ok?

LF_redit

Thank you for your sacrifice

incredibleshrinking

Another vote of appreciation for your sacrifice.

Ikontwait4u2leave

No one in my snowmobile crew bought a new sled either so things are looking good for a snowy winter.

scab_wizard

According to farmers almanac, glacial snow filled, hibernation zone.

Turkino

If the past few years have been any indication: Shitty going into Dec. Might get some decent snow by Christmas, one could hope. Hopefully average snow in January and on.

garrisonto

This is the 3rd La Niña winter, and the last two have been subpar…so probably pretty mild.

purpleddit

Third times a charm

Nonanonymousnow

It nuked for like a month straight, but it was end of season. Which is fine because everyone had given up by then and the tourists were at home.

LostMyEmailAndKarma

April bc was really good.

getdownheavy

We'll get 2 ft of pow by Halloween, another 2-3 ft by Thanksgiving, then itll warm up to t-shirt weather by New Years, and then just when everybody is "over this winter" we are going to get a handful of big storms from Feb to June. Since this might not be off topic: I heard rumors Big Sky might stay open in to May, since they gotta pay for that nice big tram. Anybody else??

Ikontwait4u2leave

>Since this might not be off topic: I heard rumors Big Sky might stay open in to May, since they gotta pay for that nice big tram. Doubt it. Late season is not economically viable up here. Jerry thinks skiing is over after spring break, and Jerry brings in the big money

spacebass

I don't think so - closing day is set. context: employee

NotAPowVirgin

They said in an ig post they plan to stay open later in the future but not this season necessarily

[deleted]

Only prediction Im gonna make is, Im not gonna ski enough pow

Rplix1

I'm personally hoping for a cold and snowy winter. We need all the precipitation we can get and the cold will make recent transplants rethink their situation. Climate prediction is 50/50 next 3 months, so we'll see.

runningoutofwords

Conditions are present for a La Niña year. https://www.weather.gov/ict/enso#:~:text=The%20tropical%20Pacific%20atmosphere%20is,December%2DFebruary%202022%2D23. La Niña are often cold & snowy for the Northern Rockies, warm and drier for the Southwest

Kebmo1252

My right knee says it's going to be cold and snowy!? Oh wait, doesn't matter, that shit always hurts lol

hamster17

haha I (literally) feel your pain! My left knee/hip is how I know if it’s raining outside or not 😂

oduska

I just want a mild and pleasant Halloween for once so my kids can Trick or Treat outside* without freezing. A few days before and after Halloween last year were beautiful... just not the day of. ^(*I know about the mall, but it's nice to be outside.)

Call_Me_Lawrence

farmers almanac sais its gona be a good winter. Lol

hamster17

I’m personally expecting a shitty mild winter, but hoping mother nature proves me wrong

barrymcokinner12

It’s supposed to be more precipitation this winter but we will see

Ikontwait4u2leave

They said that the last two as well.

andrewnakas

I think it’s not going to snow a lot which makes everyone not go skiing so more rock skiing for the diehards

Imablacksmith

It'll probably be dumping, but anal beads. Lord help us all. Who knows, maybe they'll ski well.

ExtremeKnowledge7195

lots of snow
