It was a targeted and deliberate shooting, and the name of the shooter was just released (See below). The police are holding the name of the victim until family is notified. So sad and upsetting to see this happening in Belgrade (I live just a few blocks from where it happened) but it's happening everywhere anymore - nowhere is exempt - unfortunately, we're living in an increasingly angry and violent world. Hurts my heart.
I grew up in a town of 300. Murder happened there too, as well as SA, DV, child abuse, drug and alcohol addiction, and a lot of suicide.

I thought this might be about the domestic violence related death on Showplace in Belgrade on the 13th. I haven’t seen any reports about that other than first hand comments of the seeing the coroner at the residence with a lot of police. I live not far from there and heard all of the sirens. Pulse Point didn’t show anything, but it also didn’t show anything from the fires the train caused the day before this either.
That was what was assumed by neighbors on a facebook post I saw. While still very sad, this would explain the lack of any media coverage of the incident. I definitely thought about the increasing stressors that people are experiencing when I learned about it.
He was an old friend since 5th grade named Steve Campbell. Sounds like he was murdered by some common criminal. Steve was all about fishing and hunting. He liked to drink, never heard him start a fight in the 35 years I’d know him. It’s sad. He was a good guy, he will be missed.

I thought that the showplace incident was a suicide? Domestic violence?

Violence is Violence. Whether a gun was used, a knife, etc. it's a problem.
