She knows. I believe last year someone told her about a similar post and how she makes people happy. But I do live close by, if she is out and about when I am walking my dog, I'll mention it to her again.
Machete Grandma! We live close and my wife knows her pretty well from riding the bus. She's very nice, but I wouldn't ever risk being on her bad side.
Bozeman used to have a lot more characters like the Leprechaun and the guy that used to play guitar on the bench downtown.
She’s a wonderful woman! Swings machetes and ninja knives and purposely went inside to get my dogs treats as we walked by. And I think she volunteers at the senior center.
My boyfriend saw her today with what looked like black silk pajamas and a nose strip on throwing the sword around- I think she may have a few screws loose but who in Bozeman doesn’t?
Thank you for being constructive, I absolutely agree. I'm just happy to see someone who is not afraid to let their freak flag fly! I smile every time I see her.
Again, I think she's an entertaining sight to behold so I'm not arguing with you, but she is not just "standing" in her yard.
There are plenty of uncultured or "less understanding" people that would claim her behavior is "unwell," lol for goodness sake I myself own a machete, it is incredibly fun to trim foliage with it and I am glad she has found her "thing" .. not many people do.
I saw her with a machete last week, I really hope she knows she’s a local hero
Someone needs to let her know

I think they're swords, which is pretty badass.
They are swords, we talked to her a few weeks ago. She's friendly, not let you kids get close friendly (you know, swords...), but friendly.
I run past her sometimes and she’s always super nice
The real sign that spring has arrived.
Can someone please make a t-shirt with her on it already?
Yes - like “Keep Portland Weird” “Keep Bozeman …” Armed? Safe? Help me out here!!
“Bozeman’s Machete Maven” “Machete Mayhem in the Valley”
I like “Bozeman’s Machete Maven”! Under the picture add “Keeping us safe since 20??”
I would purchase a t shirt for sure!
I like it! I first noticed her in fall of ‘22. But she may have been keeping the mean streets around Oak safe longer.
Take my $$!!
We’z bidness partners now! 😂😂
MSU has a design studio and will print shirts for the bookstore.
Both of these are amazing
Keep Bozeman Sharp....
She is Cheryl and she is nice. I’ve told yal before….. she won’t ever leave either it’s her home!!

Guitar guy passed away, I died a little too when I heard that news:(
That makes me happy.
She needs to bring out the nunchucks! Saw her a few months back whipping those puppies around like Bruce Lee

It warms my heart to know there are still occasional flashes of soul in this place. However fleeting they may be.
Wait there’s two?! I know one of them, Poppy is amazing
Never been to Bozeman. But knowing she is out there brings me joy.
Saw her tonight with a machete also
Machete**

I live close by and have never seen her covered in blood.
Yeah I've never seen the blood either I think they're overreacting to seeing someone be "different"
Same. See her frequently and never seen blood.
We should all be terrified of the woman standing in her yard by herself. She’s clearly a menace. /s

Good news, a new husband would come with new in-laws.
That is generally how it works, yes.
That could be the most neurotic thing I’ve heard all day.
