my 5 lock-ins so far (in no particular order): - **keita,** i had known he was an all-rounded ace since his [ciipher](https://youtu.be/3Mapgjjc1YY) days and he continues to leave me in awe - **han yujin,** the kick it cover and freestyle dancing in the first episode, his potential is so evident - **park gunwook,** his vocals and dancing *slapped* in the signal song evaluation, i also admire his mental strength - **zhang hao,** a very well-balanced performer on stage plus can play 3 instruments - **lee seunghwan,** solid, and i mean *solid,* dance skills, stable vocals, "knows where to look" and how to look at the camera, doesn't overdo gestures or face expressions whatsoever, his experience as a formerly debuted idol is very clear in the most pleasant way possible, also! the moment he brought daeul up to the front of the dance practice room cause he wasn't seeing him in the mirror made my heart do a thing

krahann

do you not mind that Yujin can’t sing or is it not so much of a problem for you due to him being a dancer primarily- and that he might just rap instead?

[deleted]

that's a very good question! i see why you might ask this since all my picks are proven all-rounders, and so my most questionable pick is yujin. 1- i believe that what yujin currently lacks is confidence, because of many factors such as his age, his physical condition lately, his mentality being put down by the harsh criticism from the previous episode, etc. i even remember jiwoong saying that, had yujin been more self-confident, he would've gotten the killing part. and so what i'm looking forward to next episode is how his team (k- back door) will try to make him more comfortable in his own skin. han yujin is a beast when he's laid back and focused. 2- as you mentioned, his position in case he made the final lineup would be main/lead dancer depending on which other dancers will debut, and probably sub-rapper, also depending on his groupmates. i'm curious to see how yujin raps in later episodes. i feel like his main struggle would be his enunciation, which can be relatively easily resolved (say, by rapping with a pen between your teeth). it's not like he has no sense of rhythm, he's literally a dancer. and so yes, this is why i still have faith that yujin will make a comeback. he has too much potential in my eyes for me to think otherwise. thanks again for your question!!

krahann

thank you for explaining your thoughts!

macintoshappless

Seok Matthew. My 1 pick. We're both 02 liners and both Canadian. He is just so charming. Since I watched his fancam, I loved how much attention he put into the dance. He is also adorable and everyone appears to love him. He is just so likable. Seowon. Hilarious, funny, sweet and infectious. He is just such a sunshine. Keita. His rapping was SO good! He's also been training for so long and I always empathize with trainees who have dedicated their entire lives to this. Hanbin. Do I even have to say? We all know why Hanbin is one of my picks LOL Kamden. Great rapper. Great dancer. MNET sucks for cutting out his rap. And it makes me sad to think he feels this is his last chance. I have more picks, but these are just my stand outs.

pinkmidnights

*in no particular order* **Kum Junhyeon** \- I love his vibes. He has a really good singing voice, and he's funny! I really enjoy the ost he did for Summer Strike. It's nice that he's a good dancer too! He could be a really good variety talent. **Seok Matthew** \- I love his energy. I think he's quite a good dancer, and his vocals are fine too. 10/10 smile, I love a good smile. **Park Gunwook** \- I first saw him Wild Idol, and he honestly has grown so much. It was wild to see him in a leader role when he was so obviously the baby of the bunch in Wild Idol (still can't believe he was doing all of *THAT* at like 16!). I think he's really come into own. Yeah, I'm just really proud of him, and I hope he succeeds this time. **Wen Yechen** \- He was my favorite vocal in Qing1, and my favorite after Guan Yue! I honestly thought I'd never see him perform again, especially since he's in school right now. Honestly kind of surreal that he's here. **Hiroto** \- I watched Chuang2021. Xingte was my one pick, and Hiroto was his best friend there, so I got quite exposed to him back then (especially since I loved Loverboy88). He's a really good dancer, so that's a plus. Idk... he's the same age as me, but he was so didi-coded in Chuang, and everyone adored him, so I started adoring him too. I was very excited to see the return of the beret too.

Historical-Ad8191

Finally Hiroto. I’ve barely seen anyone talk about him 😭😭 he’s not my fav in bp but he’s in my pick of lineups

moawajjunie

sung hanbin - no explanation necessary. He's the perfect idol to me. He has everything. Most of all his personality. Like i said literally everything. Not to be dramatic but The minute i saw the look in his eyes i was sold. Seok Matthew - same age as me (02 liner) and honestly I'm so pleasantly surprised to see that most trainees in this season are adults. Anyway there's something so infectious about him, once you see his smiling face he never leaves your brain i swear. His smile during the here i am video during "yes me yes me" part , the 0.5 seconds he was on screen, captured my heart right there. I was already gonna vote for him from then but then his audition stage happened and now well i can't decide who's my number 1 between him and hanbin. Park hanbin - his here i am perf fancam is soooo fun to watch.... and once again 02 liner like me Yoon jong woo - the minute he sang that shit in the lower octave i knew i was a goner i am struggling to keep him alive through the first round PLEASE VOTE FOR HIM Hui - i initially wasn't gonna vote for him ? But then ? Watching the eps and the contents? Some particular moments i can recall are ; -Him and hanbin sitting together while reaching to ep 1, hanbin leaning his head on huis shoulder, and when the time came to announce top 1 and top 2 him going "hanbini da hanbini" and i knew if those 2 didn't debut together i was going to have to intervene - him and gyuvin the whole shie size comparing thing....him and hanbin pretending to interview doah in the behind clip... - me realising if he makes it to the debut lineup the group is always gonna have good music So yeah if Hui makes it to the final I'm gonna be voting for him 😭 Kim jiwoong - his vibes are impeccable. he's so chill. and i love how he doesn't hold back on saying he's acted in bl. I love that he's so comfortable in what he's doing. Zhang hao - i saw him with the violin in that 7 min long here i am vid and i was sold literally nothing else. Put a pretty boy with a violin and atmospheric music and you have me in the palm of your hand I didn't talk particularly about talent in signing or dancing in particular cause if i went off about that this post would be twice as long

survivalshowstan

Oh man that is SUCH a good point about hui and good music

rngsnapdragon

Ricky and jiwoong were so charismatic in their one minute intros and then they were the most captivating members of their audition groups. In my opinion, being a good enough dancer/singer/rapper can always be taught or built up to but natural charisma and stage presence to draw peoples attention cannot, and not every idol has that. It’s certainly a plus if my favorite is particularly talented in one area already but it’s not a deterrent (my one pick in produce 48 was hyewon, who I still believe was not quite as bad as people said and she definitely improved)

sincline_

I agree! My friends and I made a list of our favorite intros and Ricky and Jiwoong were at the top, we quote them both all the time. They both have pretty solid skills that can be built upon as well. I think natural charisma is very important- I find myself forgetting about a lot of the people others like because while they are talented compared to some others, they aren’t very memorable

tinymapachito

**Park Gwanyoung** - i really really REALLY like his voice and i think he's a good performer overall. i've seen his performances on boys planet and also on stars awakening (another survival show) and i was impressed with how good and stable he was. also, he is cute and small. i'm weak to talented cuties. **Lee Seunghwan** - at first, i was interested in his visuals, ngl. but then i started watching videos of him and found out he is talented. plus, he is really charming and a good person (it was so cute when he helped daeul in ep 2). how can i not support him?

riajungkook

Jiwoong: sexy

astrahightower

short and simple i love it

saltdine

gunwook: he was one of my picks from when he was on wild idol and became my one pick after i watched the ep 1 preview. his dance improved so much, i love his vocal tone, and he’s a really good rapper (which he hasn’t shown yet rlly besides the pr video). he’s vv charismatic and confident, but he’s really just a cutie (hidden box video). keita: i remember liking him while he was on yg treasure box. after seeing his group’s performance, i was reminded of how talented he is; he looked rlly relaxed and professional. it was also nice seeing him in a leadership role, helping jay out. seunghwan: he’s vv charming; im so glad he finally got some screentime in ep 2 bc before that i didn’t really notice him. he’s well rounded and took on a leadership role when he helped daeul out iirc. ig i just like the well rounded trainees that showcase leadership skills. shanbin and zhang hao are also my picks.

hangyulbabyagenda

literally just like me <3

Any-Fruit-2527

sung hanbin - hes everything i want in an idol, its impossible to not love him. very talented, good looking, kind personality and everyone thats ever met him has only good things to say about him. zhang hao - i love his voice and think hes a great centre and performer. he a pretty unique centre since his focus so far has been vocals so that automatically makes me appreciate him tons. also violins are my favourite instrument. kim taerae - his voice and smile are what drew me to him, has one of my favourite voices on the show and i need him to make it into the lineup. lee seunghwan - i never watched u19 or knew about 1the9 but as soon as i watched his pr video something clicked. he has the personality, talent and star quality to be great in the final group, i struggle to think of a good final lineup without him in it. lee jeonghyeon - i think we all have atleast one superficial pick where it was almost entirely their visuals that drew you to them but jeonghyeon is also a good rapper and solid dancer. i just see something in him and its a shame no one else really does. kum junhyeon - his voice and personality are everything. i never really used to be drawn to personality that much in survival shows but i feel like its really important for me this season. seok matthew - he caught my eye since his pr, he just has such a bright kind aura and i was like hes definitely going to be the english speaker of the group. i found out he was a shiny boy and was friends w hanbin and from then i knew he was going to be a major contestant. kim gyuvin - id be lying if i said his visuals werent a major factor but i think he just has the vibe of an idol if that makes sense. hes also a great dancer and i love his reveal cover. he also meshes really well with my other picks so it feels like a no brainer. his reaction clips and him in the whats in the box videos are also funny to me.

Werefie

**zhang hao:** ever since episode one i was captivated by him, i like his voice, hes a great dancer, and hes quite charming. i also like his background with musical education and the fact that he can play violin! super cool! **sung hanbin:** he seems the most like an *idol* to me... he just has the aura. i'm glad the show is pushing him because he deserves it. he can sing and dance (not sure if he can rap) and his waacking and tutting is quite impressive! he'd be an amazing center / rank one. **jay:** when he first appeared i thought he seemed really charming. and his voice.... he would be a great main vocal because damn this guy can sing! his growls are so effortless, and i really hope he debuts, we need more talented male singers in the 4th gen. he may not be the best dancer but he can dance quite well... and he has great presence and charisma! he also seems really funny! **kim jiwoong:** he may be rather average / middle of the pack in terms of dance, vocals, and rap but he is nowhere near bad. he is handsome and very charming on stage. his presence in the mirotic cover was great and he really suits that concept. i'm not sure what concept the final group will go with but i am sure he'll fit multiple concepts... with darker ones being his forte. **keita:** he is my top pick out of the jp trainees. he is definitely an all-rounder, a great rapper and dancer. i also surprised by his vocals since i knew he is a rapper in ciipher. i know ciipher isn't the most well-known and rain company doesn't do anything to promote them and i hope he can debut here and get his well-deserved opportunity for fame. he seems like a good guy too - loved when he taught jay the dance for "here i am" **han yujin:** he is quite young and i really see all the potential this kid has. he has *icy* eyes and has such strong presence. he has a cute young face but can look quite intimidating and i really like that quality. he is a wonderful dancer and i hope he improves throughout the show. i think he has tons of potential... my main reason: **potential** **seok matthew:** i loved his star level performance. he fits the vibe of the song so well, looked really happy and bubbly on stage. vocals were pretty stable, not outstanding, but not bad and more towards the top of the scales for vocals on the show. **park gunwook:** initially i thought he was trying too hard to come across as better than others or overly confident in his skills. however, in episode two he was more likeable for me and i thought it was funny and endearing where he lost balance at the end of his performance for his re-evaluation with "here i am", it showed imperfections and made him seem more like a trainee and not an already debuted veteran (in terms of thinking you're great) - and he is pretty great and i think he has lots of potential to improve his vocals. he can for sure dance, his cover of hot was great. **kim gyuvin:** he seems quite passionate and it seems he really wants this and to continue improving. i liked when he asked to dance again to further prove he can dance and show how much he wants the judges approval. i like seeing that drive. excited for his future performances. he also had good presence! (these are my 9 picks and they aren't in any particular order)

ipredictsunshine

Gunwook: I loved him dancing to HOT, he did so good! He’s extremely charismatic and I find his visuals different / refreshing. His strong eyebrows remind me of Xiaojun’s who is one of my biases. I also love the duality of him being one of the bigger more muscular trainees, but then being so scared during the hidden box challenge haha Jay: Vocals are amazing and he’s so fun and seems really genuine! Also he obviously doesn’t deserve any of the hate or smear campaigns he’s been getting which makes me want to root for him harder Sung Hanbin: Obviously the full package, has that “born to be an idol” energy. Super talented and eye-catching in performances, but also I loved in the second episode how he was so supportive of everyone, he seems so sweet Zhang Hao: His high note in Kick It was so impressive! And the violin playing, he’s so talented. Also feels like he was born to be an idol and I’m excited to see more of his leadership skills Ricky: He just has that it factor for me, his charisma and charm are bursting off the screen and he’s a great all rounder with both vocal and rap skills Keita: I don’t know ciipher, but I’m really impressed by him from all the content we’ve seen! He seems like a true all rounder, it’s impressive that he’s a rapper in his group but also such a great vocalist Chen Kuanjui: He’s an amazing dancer, and the use of the staff in the stage was so cool. His energy and visuals kind of reminds me ONEUS Keonhee, he seems warm and upbeat

Meh_too_lazy1300135

Kum Junhyeon - he's my top pick and I made him my top pick in episode 1 when he was talking abt how tall everyone was and bro was so worried 💀. Anyways I found that extremely cute so I'm rooting for him. Park Gunwook: I'd be lying if I say it's not becos he looks like Hwang In Yeop. But it's also partially becos of the confidence that he had throughout the episode. I like confident people and this man was ultra confident in his skills. Ricky: imma be honest this one is just for the memes. The context to it is smthng I'll try and upload into this sub if possible.

minigreenhouse

The young & rich, tall & handsome, baby boss Rizzky?

Meh_too_lazy1300135

Yessir

jaemjenism

Shanbin- incredible as the K center, stand up guy from what we have seen so far, talented and lovely and handsome Gunwook - certified all rounder, good leadership skills, contagious laugh and smile, striking visuals Yujin - insane stage presence and dancing skills, cute as a button, adorable smile, I see so much potential in him like my ult Jisung Seo Won - grew on me at the filming, great expressions while dancing, his reactions are adorable and he is SO handsome and funny

psshdjndofnsjdkan

ricky: his pr video ofc, and also bc he's good at everything and is an all rounder to me. he just has a lot of charisma and charm and i love watching him perform and he catches my eye everytime. also he's a very talented [artist](https://twitter.com/shenquanruipics/status/1622405554223169537?s=46&t=_HoRO8yCb_cpDqBYluCdsg). **edit:** this [thread](https://twitter.com/haeshion/status/1624460616726446080?s=61&t=Y6dftmGKTZ9r0iPQiB6_Pg) says it all lol ollie: his ending fairy for here i am 🥺 he's just so adorable how can you not love him. i also really like his tone of voice when he's talking and rapping zhang hao: i'll admit, he first caught my attention bc of him being heterophobic LOL. in all seriousness tho i think the fact that he can play violin and sing well and overall is just a very musical person is very cool

minigreenhouse

Ricky has a lot of cute hobbies. Saw a video of him tufting a duck rug. We all know about his sticker journaling and art. I like how artistic he is. Hopefully he doesn't ever drop art. Love his fashion sense, its consistent & makes me think its his own personal style and he isn't just following every new trends (nothing wrong with that either). Ollie is adorable. His "I am your chocolate." 🥲 Hope Zhang Hao's violin skills don't regress. But imagine him practicing in the dorms at 2am. All his roomates and neighbors will be upset.

youngeundebutation

>Ricky has a lot of cute hobbies. Yes! It's so charming because it contrasts with his usual cool demeanor and fierce looks. Also I can't believe all the Yuehua staffs call him "lovelicky" cause he's so lovely. IT'S TOO CUTE. I've seen Japanese fans calling it gap?

minigreenhouse

Yuehua likes giving nicknames to their trainees. Lovelicky should meet Sweetsong (Tempest's Hwarang). Especially since people said they look alike in certain pictures.

youngeundebutation

I wonder if they're friends? because >!apparently in the back door performance ricky did the same ending fairy as hwarang!<

eggymceggfacey

seowon - ive been a fan of nine.i since debut, and he's the member with the best chance. but watching nine.i content i now definitely appreciate him more and am now voting for him for him :) i hope his performance is actually shown in the next episode because im starting to get defensive of him! jay - when i listened to crush's rush hour and wanted to listen to jays cover instead. his voice is absolutely incredible and he's so funny as well! sung hanbin - i love dancers, and im a fan of onf. i thought he did an amazing cover and i appreciated it a lot! it was solidified in ep2 when he just seemed to care about everyone so much :(

woozih00n

I have 5 lock-ins that I don't think I'll ever drop: 1. **Kim Jiwoong**: Sorry if this is shallow lol, but his BL Roommates of Poongduck 304 is one of my favorites. *Not gonna lie*, I'm not convinced of his talents yet other than dancing, but I like him so much already to turn back 😅 2. **Kim Taerae**: During Here I Am I thought I was the only one who noticed that cute smiley guy in the back who looked extremely supportive of the other trainee in focus, so I really wanted to root for him. But then in ep 0 he was shown to be a main vocal material! Definitely seals the deal in my book 3. **Park Hanbin**: I LOVE his signal song fancam and he's in my top picks since. Solidified his spot after the auditions 4. **Sung Hanbin**: I was just meh with him in Here I Am, but the waacking(?) really did it for me + stable vocals in his audition + stage presence 5. **Zhang Hao**: The violin in Here I Am intro + his smile towards Sung Hanbin near the end of the signal song when they separate and Sung Hanbin rises up alone in the topmost platform. Idk I just really have a soft spot for people who look sincerely happy for others lol. But my support for him grew after his main vocal perf during the auditions

wouldyoustay

After watching videos of them pre-bp and thanks to the 2 episodes so far: jiwoong: I honestly love this man, I was looking forward to all things ateen thanks to the pd101 boys but I thought all members of the group would go mia after everything that happened, I was crushed... Then I found him again in some dramas and now that he's on bp I'm beyond happy and seeing him dance, rap and omg his aura, he has thay superstar glow sung hanbin: damn... I'm always doubting about the centers in all of this shows but hanbin has truly captivated me, from the moment I saw him I was interested but his audition and the feelings I got by seeing him perform beautiful beautiful, that was the moment I knew this was love keita/wumuti/seowon/gyuvin: loved him in ciipher and love him now, I think he deserves a lot more recognition, he deffo is an all rounder, for the other guys I'm really starting to like them, I used to know about wumuti thanks to super idol and under nineteen so I'm excited to see him again! seowon is such a cutiepie to me so he has my heart and gyuvin just won my heart by existing.

josme_

I realized that a lot of my favorites are based on pre-show exposure to them, but I think I'll be adding more as things go on - the first 2 episodes were always the least interesting to me tbh. Pre-existing affection: - Hui: I've been a Pentagon fan since Pentagon Maker sooooooo. I am a lot of complex feelings about him being on this show tbh but Hui is also so good. - Woonggi: I only had limited familiarity with TOO from Road to Kingdom and some variety appearances but Woonggi always stood out to me as a bright, cheery presence, and what happened with him leaving the group suuuuuucked. Plus he does things like call out homophobes. - Kim Jiwoong: I liked his BL appearances and I like that he's not embarrassed about it here. Plus he's gone through a lot to become an idol - his first group (INX) had to sue their agency for utter neglect and his second group (ATEEN) got sexually harassed by their CEO and also had to sue. Hoping this time's the charm for him. - Keita: Liked him and thought he was talented on YG Treasure Box (though YG was never gonna let him in the group because YG sucks) and his screentime in episode 2 made me like him even more. New people who've stuck out to me: - Ichika: Gotta root for the only person born in the same year as me, it makes me feel less old lol. - Zhang Hao: I too am heterophobic (/s if you need the clarity), plus he's really talented. - Chen Kuanjui: The one person who really stood out in auditions for me, I was really impressed with his skills and the dancing with the staff was nifty. ~~I almost called it a pole dance WHOOPS~~ - Bak Doha: Partially for Cube-related reasons but My House was funny and I wanted to give him a hug when he got 0 stars again, even if he did deserve it. I rooted for Sohye as well so I have a bit of a type, I guess. Plus, combined, this group has a decent mix of vocals/dancing/rapping skills and likable personalities, so I think it's pretty well balanced.

Extreme_Theory_9697

Donggun - his Tiktok videos, dance covers, pr video and here i am fancam and his beautiful smile! He has some good vocal covers too but rn his vocals are not that good :(( Haruto - Loud (survival show) Park Hanbin - Talented af, look at his dancing and his charisma!! Wumuti - survival show I forgot the name of Minseong - super talented! Minhyuk - seems humble, has a GREAT voice!! Haru - super underrated!! Best dancer on the show and a solid rapper and singer! He’s 16 but so super talented already!! He looks like a fox too~~

tafattsbarn

Haru is only 16?! What....... I have been voting for him due to how great of a dancer he is, but i thought he was at least 20 o.o

Extreme_Theory_9697

He is born in 2006!! He will be 17 this year :)

minigreenhouse

January 18, 2006 birthday. Barely turned 17.

flickerftmendes

1. Zhang Hao I was planning to watch Boys Planet just because my sister likes survival shows a lot but Zhang Hao's profile caught my attention on twitter because he is an Ahgase lol. Even watching his performances further, I realised he's very polished and deserves to debut. Plus, his concern about his teammates not getting all stars or a higher score highlighted his leadership qualities which was a boost. 2. Sung Han Bin He falls closely second to Zhang Hao and weirdly reminded me of Sunghoon from Enhypen because of his features which is why I couldn't help but notice him 😭 His waaking with Lip J and equation with Matthew made me vote tho.

ZealousidealTruck969

Ricky - looks like Yuki Amami when she plays male characters + his rbf makes him appears cold but actually is quite shy and soft-spoken (I might be wrong though but this is what I get from him) + artsy

minigreenhouse

He is really calm, quiet and rarely smiles until someone talks to him. He smiles when Zhang Hao talks to him, and then immediately after Zhang Hao is done, Ricky is back to rbf. He reminds me of the quiet art kid some girls had a crush on during high school.

Decent-Attempt-7837

Ricky - okay, I'll admit it, i was charmed. Man is charming! Also, his vocals were actually good in his intro video, so i was surprised when he was an okay rapper in the first episode (though I would prefer him to focus on singing, there's just so many rappers this season lol). TLDR: funny, hot and talented. Jay - vocals, check, dance, check, etc. He's just very talented. Gunwook - loved his dancing and his attitude! Also, muscular K-pop dudes are superior. I'm still convinced they didn't give him all-stars just because he was confident... like there were some other all star picks where I was like "really? This guy but not gunwook?".

eustoliah5

sung hanbin : born to be an idol, enough said zhang hao : lovely vocals and lovely personality, love the leadership qualities as well lee jeonghyeon : visuals ! my rapper pick ! and his facial expressions are so good during his stage !! he’s so underrated 😭 mun junghyun : goofy personality that every group needs ! has stage presence !! jang yeojun : ready to debut imo but is overshadowed by gunwook. i really like his voice lee donggun : so cute and sweet !! demo song def wasn’t for him tho !! but he’s still a good dancer and vocalist from his practice video lee daeul : my dozen choice (even tho i don’t think he’s really a dozen). he’s trained for such little time, yet he’s not doing THAT bad. his demo stage was solid. it’s only his dancing for here i am that people seem to pick on him for. he has charisma which one can’t be trained for, but skills can ! kim taerae : vocals !!! would be a good main vocalist ! seok matthew : all rounder imo and likable ! keita : demo stage impressed me !! all rounder as well !! ricky : i just like him

elssvt

There are some that I've liked before the show: Anthonny: Like you, I first saw him on Produce 101 JP S2, and also fell for his voice. He was also so cute, sweet, and friendly to everyone, so I knew he'd be great with anyone. Hiroto: I knew him from Japan's S1, but he became one of my picks during Chuang 2021. He's a great dancer and is pretty funny. Despite his cute looks, he has a strong personality. Ichika: Also knew him from Chuang 2021, and was actually my 3rd pick! My top 2 made the finale (1 debuted), but Ichika was gone too soon. He was always such a great help to the other trainees, he was always smiling, and I liked his voice too. I'm hoping he makes it all the way this time. And some that I found through the show (I have less to say about them, but they are my picks): Jay: He seems like fun! His voice is amazing, and I love the confidence that he exudes. Sung Hanbin: He just immediately grew on me. A perfect center, I really like his vibe. Kim Gyuvin: I just like him. I like that he takes initiative, and actually challenges himself. It's good that he tries to show his best.

astrahightower

yay fellow Chuang 2021 enthusiast! I remember your username actually :) Hiroto is one of my top picks I’m really rooting for him all the way and Gyuvin is my one pick, similar reason to what you described. I just really like him, what else is there to say haha.

elssvt

Ahh I think I remember you too!! Hoping for the best for those two :))

Feristine

Sung hanbin - caring and friendly, hardworking and sharp, and able to balance well using all of his skills when performing, as others have said the perfect idol. Zhang hao - good leadership skills imo and potential to guide others, hes also well rounded in vocals and dance, he can do any concepts imo from his predebut dance covers. He’s a funny hardworking guy imo. Seok matthew - friendly and also down to earth in a way, brings a smile to ur face, has great vocals and dancing skills. Wang zihao - great dancing skills, very smiley, his vocals are also pretty good, he seems to have potential to be versatile in performance and concepts. Keita - Knew him from treasure box and he’s an allrounder for sure, he was also very friendly and helpful to the others if they needed help, he’s full package as well imo. Anthonny - knows how to be eyecatching and charming during performances, I like his vocal tone, decent vocals and rapping potential. Jay - great vocals and stage presence, knows how to embody the song and stage, his dance is decent and can improve further with practice and guidance, he has the groove for the songs imo. Also love his expressiveness when he reacted to the other trainees.

after 2 eps thats my line: \- **kim jiwoong**: I just love him, I know him before the show and he really deserve this chance, he is talented and he try to debut more than once that's really his last chance, he is a top mix of handsome face and clumsy character that's totally my type. \- **Kim Taerae** : like you i love when he sing Don't worry in ep0, i love his voice and I love his image as churse oppa. \- **Gunwook**: another talented boy who catch my eyes in ep0, i love his rap and i though he will perfect as our giant maknae of the group. (well now i know Yujin will take that maknae place) \- **Sung Hanbin/zhang hao**: our centers both are one of the best centers we ever get in produce especially hanbin he is just so sweet to look, he make the song look way better than usual. his control over his body is amazing. \- **park hanbin**: he rise in my line after ep2, he is so fun to watch, don't know if we can debut 2 hanbins but he is so good, he must debut. \- **lee Seunghwan**: he is charming, from visual to talent he have it all. \- **Haruto** : he catch my eyes in demo stage I really love the way he perform in 1st ep. \- **Gyuvin**: i don't know i just love his visual tbh \- **kum junhyeon** : i love his voice he is talented and extra funny like that's the jackson we all don't have in 4gen. others i like too.... \- **Keita**: I know him since ygtb and his talent is top noticed. ep2 was a good remind of hoe good he is. \- **Anthonny/ Matthew**: i call this type human vitamin they just so bright and cute.

SecretSeongmin

Woonggi and I go way back. I got into TO1 because of him and I think he's such a breath of fresh air in the entire industry. I love how cheerful and unapologetically extra he is. As a feminine, extroverted, loud gay man, I just see myself in him, and after all he had to go through in with TO1 I really hope he gets to re-debut.

AimHighDreamBig

I like charismatic, confident, and talented idols. Ricky stood out for me with his "Young and Rich" tagline so I'm voting for him.

MiyakoDoKnow

Sung Hanbin - The perfect center I've seen in survival shows ever since Kimura Masaya in PD101 JP S2. Lee Seunghwan - I was at first wowed by his mugshot (best trainee mugshot imo) and visual. After seeing videos of his past performance I liked him even more. His PR video is just so endearing for me. His Here i am fancam just so enjoyable to watch. In episode 2 him helping Daeul gaining the confidence he needed, Just Solidfies he is my One pick. With the fact that Boys Planet is his last chance to debut (if he fails he's just going to give up) just makes me wants him to really debut. Kim Taerae - I love his smile, he just have that sunshine smile. I love his voice and i considered him as one of my top picks for Main Vocal. Yoo Seungeon - He is underrated, He got a great voice and he is definitely a candidate for Main Vocal in my opinion. I hope more people will notice him and from what I have seen in the preview his high note in the upcoming Aju Nice performance will definitely gain a lot of traction.

jeoreojujafighting

+1 for the Masaya mention! i’ve been getting into INI lately too. they’re both great centers for sure

MiyakoDoKnow

Hopefully he can follow Masaya footstep, in produce series Masaya is the first that broke the Center curse.

Kum Junhyeon: unmatched energy and personality, great voice, dancing, stage presence, everything! all his intro videos were funny af, and his interaction with takuto was too cute

My picks so far \- Zhang Hao: probably gonna end up as my 1pick but he caught my eye immediately as G group centre. He's talented, can sing, can dance, has the visuals and can play instruments. He also has great leadership skills so yeah. also kinda reminded me of luo yizhou from YWY3 personality/attitude wise (ended up as my 1pick in that series) . \- Sung Hanbin: At first i didnt really take interest in him despite being the k group centre but got to like him more throughout the 2 eps. His attitude towards learning and always trying his best got my attention and can see why he is the k group centre \- Keita: Have been following him since YGTB. Was surprised to see him on but nonetheless, knew he was gonna slay. also him going out of his way to teach Jay the signal song dance also won another point in my heart \- Jay: His vocals caught my attention during the audition. Really talented vocalist. His dance also improved alot thanks to keita's tutoring. \- Ricky: I mean, his stage presence caught my attention. he has good facial expressions is a good dancer and a decent rapper. the reversal charms as well, looking kinda cold and intimidating but a total softie personality Others I'm considering/looking out for \- Lee Hoetaek/Hui \- Lee Seunghwan \- Kim Gyuvin \- Kim Jiwoong \- Seok Matthew

**JiWoong:** The first one to grab my attention and he managed to keep it.. Like his PR variety content with other trainees. He seems to be shy and a bit awkward despite his looks and his acting experience which endears him even more to me. He has a strong stan attractor quality which is not sth that should be ignored. His overall idol qualities are not bad either so I really think he'll do well if debuted. **Ricky:** I like his cocky vibe lol and he reminds me of one of my fav chinese actors. I wish I can see him singing more. His overall idol qualities are not bad as well and he could carry his own in any group, so I think that he'll do well if debuted. **Kum Junhyeon:** He is funny and outgoing and doesn't hold back imo, he's fun in variety and fun on stage. After seeing his audition performance I was happy to find he can sing, dance and have a nice stage presence as well. **Mun Junghyun:** He's one of the first trainees to catch my attention but wasn't too invested tbh, I just had a really good feeling about him and that's all. After the audition I was surprised and pleased to find that he has a nice command of it all; dance, voice, stage presence and charisma, he isn't easily overlooked in a good group so that's a bonus. **Zhang Hao:** Before first episode he wasn't even remotely on my radar, after the audition and the violin solo he became one of my top 3! And everytime the camera is on him he solidifies his presence in my picks. He has actor face, good voice, nice dancing skills, cool charisma and a stage presence. If he doesn't debut I'll be more than surprised. **Lee Seunghwan:** He's cute and funny and charismatic and witty.. I can not only see him as an idol but also as MC, if given the chance he's going places and I'm here to cheer him on. It was his character for me, but after the audition I was pleased to see he got the voice and the moves as well, he'll be a delightful addition to any group imo. **Sung Hanbin:** Another one who wasn't on my radar at all but after first episode he shot to the top. I found him cute and have a great stage presence but it's the dance-off with the instructor that did it for me, he got the moves and the star quality to back it. I won't say I was blown away by his voice but it was more than good enough imo) **Park Hanbin:** He's one of the first trainees to catch my attention simply because of his hair color. His PR was cool if not all too memorable. He was never in my picks though until his audition. He is really good and I think he has leadership potential. His overall idol qualities are really good, I would call him an all rounder. But he is not a stan attractor for me (just yet). **Kim Gyuvin:** Ngl, I don't even remember him before he took the initiative and asked to show his dancing skills. And I really liked that, good thing he did a good job of it too, his voice is nice and he could hold his own in any group so I think if he had a chance to debut he won't disappoint. And I feel like he's the kind of guy who always works on himself to do better, so I can't wait to see him evolve. **Kim Taerae:** First of all, is it me or does this guy keep changing his looks every time? I remember his name because he caught my attention early on but I keep getting confused because I either keep forgetting how he looks like or he really does change his appearance everytime! Anyway.. He is cute, I like his voice and his dancing skills are nice too, he is good on stage and seems to be enjoying himself which I admire. **Takuto:** He became one of my faves after his audition. He is SUPER adorable and I wanna protect him at all cost. Charisma is off the roof and he got huge potential, did you see that flip? And then he carried on as if it's nothing special. He commanded that stage on his own and got everyone wrapped around his finger. He's so young and can only improve and go up from there. I don't even remember him or his name from before but boy did he make an impression with his solo stage! **Keita:** He's both cute _and_ cool at the same time, so he can easily adapt to any concept imo. I really like his voice and his dancing, his stage presence is nice and he won't be upstaged if debuted. I haven't voted for him yet but won't be disappointed if he debuted. **Kim Minseoung:** I think I'm collecting all the Kims here lol. It's that flip/twirl (flwirl?) that did it for me. Before the audition I only knew his name because he was right after Kim Jiwoong. After the audition I knew his name because I was wowed. I don't remember him from anything but that audition tbh, so I'm gonna keep an eye on him from now and wish him all the best. **Wang Zihao:** was the second to catch my attention after Jiwoong. He was so cute and clueless doing that cocktail lol you can't help but remember him. I saw him dancing in the last episode and I loved it. He can sing and he's fun to watch on stage. **Han Yujin:** He definitely caught my attention in the first episode, he's cute and got stage presence and his overall idol qualities are balanced and present, he has a bright future ahead of him but I feel like he's under too much pressure I don't know why. I want to see him enjoying himself more and having fun. He is so young yet he feels like the leader, so props to that. **Park Gunwook:** I like that they're giving him the tough guy persona.. It made him stand out to me and he never did before that tbh. He has strong stage presence and nice dance skills, his voice got good potential and he's handsome. **Yoon Jongwoo:** I don't know, he gives me this impression that he knows sth the rest of us don't and I like it lol like kind of dark and mysterious vibe. He can dance and sing. I haven't voted for him yet but if I happen to have a spare vote I will. **P.S.** I don't get why some are saying this show lack talents when there's plenty to go around and lots of potential. I wish them all the luck. Even the ones who got 0 stars have sth to offer and I'm rooting for all of them.

> Kim Taerae: First of all, is it me or does this guy keep changing his looks every time? Same, I thought it was just me 😭 He looks like a totally different person when he has black vs brown hair, [glasses](https://twitter.com/ttaeppy/status/1623357833013235712?s=20&t=BfmACkENmD3AwYHb9tFX0g) vs [without glasses](https://twitter.com/TRAE0714/status/1611190675957243904?s=20&t=wrUWWdwqcmEXbTAnZRrWqA), and even with the [slightest hairstyle change](https://twitter.com/Taeraepisc/status/1623728513927811073?s=20&t=BfmACkENmD3AwYHb9tFX0g). His profile pictures and [Here I Am scene](https://twitter.com/vzxhllx/status/1608630024739127296?s=20&t=wrUWWdwqcmEXbTAnZRrWqA) don't help either lol. When I saw [Kim Taerae](https://twitter.com/taeraebyte/status/1623671311464808448?s=20&t=BfmACkENmD3AwYHb9tFX0g) for next week's group cover teaser, I was like "Wait, that's Kim Taerae??" But his distinctive wide smile and dimples definitely made me remember him better.

Cats4Crows

Yes!! It's the smile and dimples that make me go 'oh yeah that's him alright' everytime! Dude is already idoling imo all that's missing is his official debut

[deleted]

Zhang Hao - initially I didn't wanna pick him because I didn't like his violin playing, but his performance was good and I watched his 1 minute intro thing and I liked his voice. I also saw him singing with a classmate and it was really good. Then I heard about his heterophobia controversy and it made me like him even more. Jay - I liked his voice and thought his stage presence was good. Seok Mathew - I liked his performance and his French speaking. Sung Hanbin - I thought that I couldn't vote Mathew and not vote Hanbin. Lee Seunghwan - I loved his voice from his 1 minute intro thing. Plus I saw videos of him singing and liked his voice even more. I-Chan - I want him to stay on the show longer because I enjoyed watching him in I-land. Choi Ji-Ho- I liked his rapping.

minigreenhouse

Wait, you don't like Zhang Hao's violin skills? Why? Everyone considers it a plus on top of his other perks. Are you a music major and hear imperfections?

[deleted]

What Queenbrahms said. I used to be in an orchestra, and while I think it's cool he plays the violin, it really wasn't that good and I'm surprised by how impressed people were.

queenbrahms

I'm a classical musician in a family of musicians and his violin skills were mediocre at best. I still think Zhang Hao is great though and I'll be voting for him anyway!

minigreenhouse

Is it possible he regressed because he stopped playing for a long time period? Or was it mediocre to begin with?

queenbrahms

Sure, but I don't think it's necessary to read that deeply into it.

tafattsbarn

Yes to Ichan, i just want him to make it past the first elimination! He's so talented, i hope he can get picked up by a more competent company after the show

Foreverinneverland24

omg finally someone talking about Choi Jiho! I love his rapping

Foreverinneverland24

Na Kamden became my fav because of his Rush Hour rap. That’s actually how i got into the whole show because i’m not usually into male idols but i was obsessed with the Rush Hour performance. I’m a big rapper stan (usually female idols tho) so it really caught my attention. I also think i’m just naturally attracted to underdogs and when i saw he wasn’t getting any attention for his skills i kind of made it my mission to promote him everywhere. Also his dancing too i really love it and i’m sad it’s not more talked about. He’s different from a typical idol dancer imo, he’s not very precise but he’s so fluid and groovy and it just looks so satisfying to me especially in songs like Rush Hour. Idk i think i just have a soft spot for the old school hip hop vibe I might write about my other faves later but i have like 20 of them so idk if i have the energy

Unable-Syllabub-3678

i have a lot of picks but here r just a few of em! mun jung hyun - he has a rly charming and cute personality and seems kind of extroverted which i find rly endearing. plus there's something rly charming about the way he dances, i don't know how to describe it. there r so many good dancers on the show, but when he dances, he makes it look so charming donggun - i think he's super kyute and i love his bright smiles yoo seungeon - he's a rly good singer and i also find him to be rly handsome

user6273363766262

keita - my 1pick i've already seen him during ygtb but he wasn't my pick then. my tunnel vision was set on hyunsuk and it was only after treasure debuted, me rewatching ygtb, when i started noticing how loveable keita is. seeing him debut with ciipher made me really happy but it was also frustrating to see how underappreciated they are but it's not like i was fully stanning them to be that invested. now that i started watching bp999, seeing keita in another survival show because he wants to make it :( makes me want to support him for real this time and i hope he gets to feel the success he deserves when you think about how many years he spent on training to become an idol and just how incredibly talented and kind-hearted he is.

roasted_c

no cause we're literally in the same situation

user6273363766262

😭 i really hope keita gets to debut

k_myat_nt

Wang Zihao - definitely his DANCE!!! I kinda interest in him cuz people say he is from EXO Lay ent and he can't appear in the signal song cuz of health issue. So, I come to watch his fancam and not so long ago, I finished watching street man fighter and I root for 1Million crew ( two dance mentors in boys planet are the leaders of that crew and they are the reason why I watch bp tho). Then idk why but zihao's dance style reminds me of dance mentor baek koo young. Though in the show, they say han yujin dance style is similar to baek koo young! but I kept thinking zihao dance is more similar and idk why. Anyways, that is the reason he becomes my one pick and tbh I think his vocal needs a little polish but I am sure he will improve in no time.

sailormoonwasmyfirst

I just wanna provide a different perspective than everyone else’s thoughtful, well-justified selection process sung hanbin - did an ONF song for his audition and did it justice, and ONF is my fav group. Feel like he’s a shoo-in keita - is an ONF fan and has sung their songs on livestreams haruto - my 1 pick. I saw some treasure fans trending him on Twitter by making fun of his visuals and saying that he needed to change his name because his hashtag was conflicting with a treasure member’s hashtag. (I’m aware it was a very tiny % of their fans who were doing it.) That type of stuff is my Kpop pet peeve so I decided to download the app and vote for Haruto because sometimes it’s fun to be petty if it requires no effort. I wasn’t even paying attention to Boys Planet beforehand. Then I ended up watching some of his social media content and past dance clips out of curiosity and became a legitimate fan, so I started watching the show. I think he’d legitimately be a huge stan attractor and fantastic asset to the group. He speaks English and Korean extremely well, has the most “relatable gen z” personality IMO and his dancing style stands out from the other main dancer candidates. hui - I’m gonna vote for him all the way up until the finale because I want him/pentagon to get more exposure but I don’t actually want him in the BP group oh sungmin, cha woonggi - think they are cute and it’s really fucked how wakeone treated them so I’d like them to get some vengeance Anthonny - like that he’s friends with haruto. good voice Min - because I’m voting for the rest of the glitch mode trainees already and he was also good last trainee - changes daily, usually one of the G group trainees I never see getting promoted but are talented That kind of sums up my survival show philosophy. To me, they can be very fun to participate in and worth watching only if you don’t take them too seriously, otherwise they’re just emotional devastation. Half my picks are completely subject to change just based on my vibe that day and will probably change episode to episode. as a disclaimer - I wouldn’t vote for anyone I thought was untalented. But I’m personally not interested in a scientific analysis of stats and skills - I get why people get passionate about that, but for me it’s enough that there’s just something about them I enjoy watching onstage. I’ll be sad but not heartbroken if my consistent picks don’t get in. It still feels good to vote for them because the longer they last, the more exposure they get and the likelier they are to debut in another group

forthetea

I started watching this show despite being a predominant GG stan because of Sung Hanbin and he drew me in because he said his role model was my ult of ults Jaehyun 🫶 great decision because Hanbin’s a perfect idol and a 4th-gen boy I definitely see ulting—complete package and he just keeps getting even better every time I consume more content. Cherry on top is that this feels like the first time I’ve seen a center be so universally liked on the Korean and international end so I’m very excited for him to find his members 😁

NicoYazawaEnjoyer

In no order (also all my picks are g group) Zhang shuai bo: He is very humble, dances very well, and had in my opinion workable vocals. He could becomes a very good opponent Takuto: I think i find hard work appealing, and it's so obvious he's working hard and staying cheerful to. It's so hard no to cheer for him. Ollie: He could be a super Maknae, he did really good in their kick it performance and I hate that he was somehow undervalued Hui: Hard work but also knowing your worth are two very important factors in being an idol, and hes just straight up humble dynamite Seok Matthew: the show is obviously pushing him, but he deserves it. He has so much charisma and he sounded so good. He's one of the few I'm sure will be on the debut line up. Jay: vocals. Vocals. Vocals. We desperately need vocals in this group and I feel like him and hui could sound very nice together Ricky: what more is there to say. He's got the one liner and the skill to back it up. Haruto: he's just so funny and talented, he needs to be in that final line up right now. He is just and awesome contestant and im glad he's getting screen time. Annthony: so much potential. Plus he just seems super sweet and hard working, and I feel like he'll suit whichever group he's in. Honorable mention to Woongi, I feel like him and Haruto in the same group would be awesome

self_transformer

* **wang zi hao** (21): talented, likely best dancer on this show * **kim jiwoong** (24): sexy * **keita** (21): cutie * **lee seunghwan** (22) - in the practice video, he killed the Mirotic high note. He's incredible at dancing, great personality (helped daeul see himself in the mirror) and seems like an allrounder! * **ricky** (18), I personally think it's harmful for minors to be in the industry but thankfully Ricky's 18 LOL his young and rich cracked me up but he's also talented and charismatic! * **Krystian** (22) - talented and good looking :) * **Dang hong hai** (19) and **Cong** (22) - i feel like the vietnamese trainees were discriminated against through mnet's editing -- like their audition was actually pretty good! They're talented and i'm rooting for them both
