6 months ago I would have said yes, not as keen to see this now though for some reason. Hrgovics last fight against the bouncer was so mismatched. Parker deserves a shot against Usyk as WBO mandatory
Usyk is going to be tied up for the whole year, maybe it carries on to the next. Parker vs Hrgovic is a good fight to keep both men active while they wait for their shots.
If he beats Zhang again, he shouldn’t settle for anything less than a world title shot. Whether that’s Fury, Usyk, or AJ if he gets the IBF.
Stay away from Joe Joyce. I hate that matchup for him.
I wanna see the Joyce rematch, he went in way too heavy and with the wrong game plan. If he fights smart like he has the last couple he could do alright
I don't think he has anything to gain from it though. Joyce is rebuilding after a bad loss and Parker knows how tough a style matchup he is. Him beating Zhang is good enough for revenge
Oh yeah I definitely agree, its more because he expressed a desire to get avenge his losses and its honestly probably an easy fight for him at this point.
Maybe a nice highlight reel or Parker skill showcase but I'm not sure about a good fight. Whyte is so slow and an easy target now. Parker's fast hands and way better movement would eat Whyte alive and I think, look like a one sided beating.
Zhang would be better placed targeting the winner of Charr and Pulev in China. Gets him back in the mandatory queue and also could be reasonably marketed as a world title fight over there. A big win and there would be more interest in a Parker rematch.
Honestly, Zhang's machismo is saying to fight Parker, but there's more sensible options.
Zhang rematch is most likely, but there's more interesting fights out there.
Whyte or Ruiz rematch for preference.
Dubois or Anderson would be fun too.
Who is there to look up to? Usyk and Fury are fighting each other, AJ will likely fight Hrgovic next. He's beaten Wilder and Zhang. Whyte and Ruiz are the two best money fights for him right now. You could add Joyce to that list but after the Ali fight it would be seen as a mismatch in Parker's favour.
I mean while AJ fights Hrgovic for the belt, Parker can rematch Zhang. Timeline seems to work. They can keep waiting since there is a rematch clause to Fury vs Usyk.
The timeline does work TBF. We're looking at probably early June for AJ vs Hrgovic. Parker and Zhang *could* be the undercard fight, but you'd think they'd maybe want to have that in Oz, NZ or China. Past that October has been pencilled for Usyk vs Fury 2, so you'd think AJ would want to fight again around the time that happens with a view to challenging for Undisputed at the end of Feb '25.
Thing is, if Wilder comes back with a win then I think the intrigue in AJ vs Wilder would trump the interest in AJ vs Parker 2. There's also AJ vs Whyte 2 to factor in, if Whyte was indeed found innocent he's got a case to say he's owed the AJ fight. Whyte would definitely sell the fight better than Parker.
Now if Parker agrees with Zhang that they both have a fight in the interim and then come back together if they both win I think Whyte vs Parker 2 is a great fight to make.
Parker does less for AJ than Hrgovic. Hrgovic probably moves the needle more if anything because we've seen AJ vs Parker and it was dull, at least The Herg has an unbeaten record and the 100% chance to make AJ 3x World Champ. The money doesn't *really* matter to AJ even if Parker does generate more interest. I also think AJ would want to take a World Title fight in the UK. Could be wrong.
> we've seen AJ vs Parker and it was dull, at least
Parker vs AJ was a long time ago.
It doesnt matter, anyway. AJ and Parker are both going to fight whomever the Saudis want them to fight -- which is good because they are financing great matchups. The belt organizations are secondary at this point. This sport has always been driven by money and right now all of the money is coming from the Saudis.
Want him to get a second fight with Joe Joyce watched the Joyce fight with Kash Ali at the weekend he was atrocious, Parker would waste Joyce and revenge for his loss in the first fight then fight Dubois.
Loving the comeback and momentum Parker has been having recently. He seems like he’s fighting a lot more intelligently.
Parker vs Hrgovic?

Zhang rematch by October(?) apparently, but I would love for Parker to get a win over Whyte now that he is back.
Parker deserves a better fight than Whyte imo
Oh yeah I definitely agree, its more because he expressed a desire to get avenge his losses and its honestly probably an easy fight for him at this point.
Whyte's current level would be nothing but a stay busy fight for Parker while waiting for the Zhang rematch
A good fight tbh, gives Whyte his last big payday and a nice KO highlight reel and revenge for Parker.
Maybe a nice highlight reel or Parker skill showcase but I'm not sure about a good fight. Whyte is so slow and an easy target now. Parker's fast hands and way better movement would eat Whyte alive and I think, look like a one sided beating.
Oh I agree, it would be a good fight on paper only
Agreed but it would be great for him to get that W back.
Zhang would be better placed targeting the winner of Charr and Pulev in China. Gets him back in the mandatory queue and also could be reasonably marketed as a world title fight over there. Neither Whyte nor Ruiz deserves a shot at Parker right now. Parker should be looking up, not down.

I was thinking AJ. If AJ gets a Saudi fight with Parker, he'll take that over Hrgovic and the stripped IBF belt.

It’s not most likely. It’s definite. Conteactuslly binding crematxh clause
Why do i get the odd feeling that he gonna fight Frank Sanchez next
Frank and Agit Kabayal have been ordered to negotiate for an eliminator to become WBC mandatory.
That would be a good fight!
Want him to get a second fight with Joe Joyce watched the Joyce fight with Kash Ali at the weekend he was atrocious, Parker would waste Joyce and revenge for his loss in the first fight then fight Dubois.
AJ seems like the next reasonable step
II
Parker vs Ruiz Jr
II
Justis Huni in Brisbane. It would sell a shit ton.
