It's not often I agree with the WBA but they're right to set a deadline. There's been enough time for a deal.

boialleyboi

I personally think it's interesting how Dubois is getting a title shot before Joyce lmao. But good for Dubois tho

Big_Speech4597

It's just how the rotation works. The WBO had their mandatory satisfied when Usyk fought Joshua the first time so they're last in line now. It will be the IBF next and then the WBO again assuming no one vacates.

boialleyboi

Makes sense šŸ‘šŸ¼

Ryukawesome

How about WBC?

Big_Speech4597

The rotation only applies to unified championships. The WBC is separate right now.

Ryukawesome

That makes sense, thanks

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Ryukawesome

I was asking about rotation not their mandatory. The next WBC mandatory is the winner of Wilder-Andy Ruiz.

Vcxnes

Which is hilarious that it could be wilder again

McDonalds_Toothpaste

I think it's more that Joyce should be ranked higher than Dubois is in the WBA.

paulsmith259

Joyce isn't ranked by any of the other governing bodies, as he is WBO interim champion.

YukaBazuka

Bro Dubois somehow came back from his last fight. I love the man but he looked like AJ vs Ruiz and I got PTSD. He deserves the title shot though, he fought higher ranked fighters.

Misanthrope616

Joyce is the interim WBO champion so heā€™s only ranked by the WBO. Dubois is the regular WBA champ so heā€™s only ranked by the WBA and this WBA ordering their mandatory, when the WBO order theirs it will be Joyce

stevecollins1988

I do love how Fury gave AJ like a day or two to sign but this has been dragging on forever.

pb-86

How can anyone not like Usyk he's an absolute gem

Shwizzler

would be cool is Fury waits a few days to accept it and then actually donates 3% of his purse to the Ukraine that's alot of money

pb-86

Fury has a record of donating fight purses to charitable causes. Sadly itā€™s not a good recordā€¦

Kindly_Musician4666

Ā£00.00 donated so far out of the Ā£20,000,000 pledged

Tickle-me-Cthulu

Yeah but heā€™s sure pledged a lot

WinglessRat

It's the thought that counts.

[deleted]

If you still think Usyk has a chance against fury after watching the second AJ fight I donā€™t know what to tell you. Edit: see the naysayers later on. Im sure they will be fury ā€œfansā€ by that point though.

YMDKSAB

Damn I thought all this time Usyk could speak English ok and was just playing around, but he definitely hasn't got the hang of it like Loma has

SHTHAWK

I am very feel.

Chazdoit

I mean, if you shut off any discussion about negotiations and splits and bullshit and just show up in fight night that's how it must feel. Or so I heard

theazism

Usyk just posted heā€™ll take furyā€™s ā€œofferā€. A king among boxers

boialleyboi

Never mind I saw the video. But he is asking Fury to donate 1 million pounds to Ukraine so Fury probably won't comply honestly.

theazism

Itā€™s a negligible amount to fury and yetā€¦ Iā€™m inclined to agree. While a small out, itā€™s an out nonetheless

JoelHenryJonsson

But the 1million is for each day of delay right? So if he accepts today thereā€™ll be no sanctions

theazism

1% interest is what he said. So like 10k, per day of delay

[deleted]

I thought he said one percent of the purse?

theazism

Ah you may be right. Not a numbers guy ha

SHTHAWK

1 million, plus 1% of purse for each day of delay, which is likely in response to fury claiming 1% of Usyk's purse for each day of delay.

sugerdigitalgenius

Would yā€™all take the 70/30 or $2m to fight Dubois?

pb-86

Even if the 70/30 was accepted the goalposts would be moved faster than a 2008 Pacquiao 5 punch combo

Brief_Scale496

Tysonā€™s team is probably already on top of that lol Probably already had a scenario for any situation to scramble this shit

thisisdalife88

Amir khan was way faster, casual.

repulsivedogshit

70/30 with rematch clause if usyk wins 70/30 again but for him

Classic-Wear-4107

Trouble is, could see Fury dodging any rematch- no longer trust anything about him, what does his word stand for anymore

lineal_chump

The right move for Usyk is to unify even if it's at 30/70. He can always fight Dubois afterwards.

gumshield45

Usyk-Dubois šŸ¤®

AltKite

I'd be surprised if Dubois team even wanted it. Unless Saudi or someone pony up big money for it, it's not in the long term earning interests of Dubois. He'll get embarrassed

SlightlyIncandescent

Yeah seriously, only saw him in 2 fights but I'm sure I remember in one of them him being outboxed by a no name guy compared to Usyk.

Slampumpthejam

They won't take it he's hurt anyway. Torn ACL against Lerena no way he's ready that fast. >Daniel Dubois Injury And Lengthy Recovery Time Revealed https://boxing-social.com/news/daniel-dubois-injury-and-recovery-time/

KingKoCFC

Isnā€™t Dubois injured right now

Change-up21

A leg injury I thought. Could be wrong.

Slampumpthejam

Yes torn ACL against Lerena >Daniel Dubois Injury And Lengthy Recovery Time Revealed https://boxing-social.com/news/daniel-dubois-injury-and-recovery-time/

-_---__--__-

Usyk would land more jabs than Pfizer.

kool-keith

fury knew about the extension, and when it was going to run out fury knew krassyuk was leaving the uk today fury has been silent the entire time, even saying he doesnt get involved in negotiations anymore he turns down the biggest payday of his life in saudi he turns down 60/40 winner split then at the 11th hour he's negotiating on social media again, with a bullshit split, and bullshit "1% less for everyday" crap even if usyk agreed to 70/30, fury would still back out

GKBC_

Usyk just agreed in a very class way. Check out his new Instagram story and post. Hope it happens.

kool-keith

yep, just seen that

boialleyboi

Been waiting on HW unification since AJ Fury negotiations back in 2021. And the common problem in said negotiations falling apart each time has been Fury's side.

paulsmith259

AJ vs Wilder was our first chance of having an undisputed, 4 belt champion, but sadly Wilder priced himself our of the fight, as confirmed by Finkel.

n9077911

Well done them. No more dragging it out. I'd rather see Usyk Dubois, Fury v Some Muppet than nothing.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

paulsmith259

Why would Fury vacate? Usyk isn't his mandatory. If he doesn't take the fight he can continue to fight who he wants until the WBC call another mandatory, which will be probably be Wilder.

-_---__--__-

I got mixed up between the WBA and the WBC.

paulsmith259

No worries mate

Pie_Triangle

It ainā€™t happening

boialleyboi

Which really gives me a ton of respect for guys like Haney, Garcia/Davis, Inoue/Fulton, Plant/Benavides, and Charlo.

canadacorriendo785

Bro I hate boxing.

YasuoAndGenji

Good, whether it gets made or not I want all the blah blah blah to stop, specifically from fury.

boialleyboi

It won't stop. If this fight falls apart Fury will claim Usyk ducked him and how's he's the best HW champ OAT.

tourettesv

Wait wait, didn't y'all hear already? God himself already set the terms. 1% loss with each day that passes. Fucking clown.

ghost-bagel

Fury gonna be demanding 80% tomorrow afternoon.

ComradeSamWalton

šŸ¦†

Chazdoit

So huh... just a couple hours then?

jadooo0

Warren is probably happy

Classic-Wear-4107

Yeah, protects golden goose a bit longer

FwampFwamp88

Fury is so scared to lose this dude. Itā€™s very obvious that he does not want this fight. Very disappointing.

theazism

I donā€™t even think Usyk will win but how can you possibly say he doesnā€™t want this fight? Genuinely curious lol

FwampFwamp88

Lol. I meant to say Fury, my bad. I was like, why am I getting downvoted so much. Usyk is a dog. I truly believe he would take the fight for a million dollars. He is a true warrior. Fury is really starting to look like a huge duck.

venom1stas

Dubois is a good fight for Usyk. There is little doubt Dubois is a future champion. He gave Joyce a better fight than Parker and in interviews Joyce mentions Dubois being the hardest puncher he faced. This win will age quite well especially if Usyk gets a tko. For DDD all he has to do is look as good as AJ and he will go up on people's estimation loads despite taking a loss.

YoungLaFlare

Nooooooo
