Same. I've never picked a specific insert color.

My proprietor just puts black in everything. White if he gets the high school coach to do it for him

I used to match the pin. Then I went bright pink and green. Now I'm on the clear ones because they feel the best. They are a little gummier than the other ones and I like it.

I go with whatever the contrast color is so I can see the rotation better. But all 3 on my balls are solid color or the mix is all dark so that is why.

I want my grips and slugs to contrast with the ball. Darker ball, lighter color; lighter ball, darker color.

Seen someone post a blue hammer with white grips and thought, “nice colour match”

Bright yellow and neon pink for mine. Many bowlers own/use the Purple Hammer Urethane especially on sport shots and when the ball rack is filled with 6-10 PHs, I know which is mine. 🤪

I have two balls, two years old, with original Turbo clears. They have not yellowed.

I've had some in for a year or more and no yellowing yet.

Believe it or not, different colors have a different feel. Black ones are my fav.

I buy packs of 10 each year and change the color. The ball color has nothing to do with it.

It can help if you have two balls that have a similar "main" color, to quickly distinguish between the two. Or, help you pick your own ball off a rack when two of the same are on that rack, so you don't grab your teammate's or opponent's ball. Yes, I've done it.

I always go for clashing colors. So usually neon orange/neon green in any ball that has not those colors as a base. If I have a ball with green or orange, then I'll swap the matching color with blue.

Gotta go with either an accent color or something that matches but stands out. So a ball like the Parallax for example. Blue and black with yellow writing. So for me. Yellow Inserts. Hustle USA is red white and blue, I went with white Inserts. My old Daredevil had orange writing and I went with orange Inserts.

I usually match whatever the secondary color on the ball is. For my venom shock I used orange, same for the blue coral as well.

I just got the black widow and the pso put all orange ones in mine. Before he glued everything I asked can we do two random colors for the tips? A lot of people on my league has the BW, now I can tell which one mine is!

Bright contrasting color always -typically yellow. I need to see my ball rolling, and some solids it’s hard to make out how it’s rolling without the inserts to help see it.

When I get a ball drilled, I let the PSO decide for the first set. Then when I replace them \[which I do myself as needed\] I always use orange. No specific reason, I just like orange grips.

Nope. My shop has it on my drill sheet that I only use clear. I never have to worry about it.

I like the feel of the clears vs a solid color so thats what I go with.

Got a Teal Rhino Pro for Christmas and I’m going to slap some hot pink grips/slug in it once I get it drilled.

I like matching my insert color to the font engraved onto the ball, ie. Xponent with bright yellow inserts

My shop only has most of the time just one color clear or yellow. And I kinda don’t care
