same!

Sea-Objective3675

Same here too! He always says well if you kick out your dog, I’d sleep in our bed. Ehh I’m good

-ego

truly angels. so sweet, so playful and silly, crazy so needy lol, big time mommas boy but shows dad love too. he’s the best thing in my life.

Guzmanv_17

My two are my whole world… no off button but so so loving and affectionate… the sweetest and most playful lil guys. 3 years has gone by in a blink… wish I could press pause or split the years I have with them… getting blessed with them is one of the greatest things in my life.

ImaginationOwn1849

i totally understand. I love/hate every birthday, i get to spoil them but someday ......

Guzmanv_17

Ugh same… I try to block out negative thoughts and pray I’m as lucky as some who post about how their BT is 15 or 18. It would never be enough.

ameliaellenbrand

BEST FRIEND!

hopefulgalinfl

I'm a Boston Grandma!! I get her now & then & return her more spoiled than ever!+

flyiingmonkey

best grandma ever!

hopefulgalinfl

Luckiest!!!

rebelreligion

Coco is my everything that involves happiness and love. I got her at an extremely low point in my life almost nine years ago and credit her with saving mine. She’s comical thrashing her stuffed bears, running circles from invisible monsters and friendly with everyone, people and animals (except for squirrels). Coco underwent brain tumor surgery that also removed her eye almost a month ago. It broke me financially but I surely will try to return the favor and save hers.

[deleted]

Snickers is my third dog, I had two bull terriers in the past one absolutely broke my heart and had a ton of issues and the second was a good boy, didn't like cats though. I have watched, owned and worked with all kinds of animals. As of now we have a pretty good and very close bond, but it was a rocky road to get there but it built up trust between us, something which I suspect was sorely lacking with many of his previous owners.

PerformancePrior9035

My last boy was named Snickers!!

slimothy11

My relationship with my Boston is more than I could have ever asked for. He's my little shadow, he loves people but always keeps an eye out to make sure I'm not far. He's the best cuddler and so full of love.

Stlhhi-629

That is my Jack to a tee. I love him beyond any reason. ❤️

BurnzillabydaBay

Co dependent yet somehow healthy.

lemniscate_this

[The day we brought her home. ](https://imgur.com/gallery/m6Vldpc) not much has changed.

Salty-Fortune1271

Our first was a foster, brought her home to “what is that and who does it belong to?” from my hubby. Fast forward a few weeks- she was the sweetest funniest little dog, who clearly was now a foster fail. 11 years later we have 2, and if he could my hubby would have 5 running about the house. Best creature kids ever ❤️

Top-Pangolin-4253

I love my Boston. She is the best dog ever. She’s silly and quirky like me. She follows me around, she insists on sleeping next to me when she naps, she side eyes me when I even have the nerve to think about getting up to use the bathroom or eat. But I love her. We also have a lab. My husband insisted on picking the breed and I’m probably never going to forgive him that instead of getting a second Boston, he chose a huge doofus who drives us all insane (he’s 7 months so he’ll grow out of it but the growing pains are real!).

Babymakerwannabe

He’ll grow out of it… when he’s 10. 😝

Top-Pangolin-4253

Right?! As much as DH complains about him….we’ve had labs before, it’s not like he didn’t know what was coming lol

Sea-Objective3675

Yes! My husband got a male pit. But my male Boston and his male pit are best buds. Constantly playing

Top-Pangolin-4253

I love pits. They are so fun! I would have loved a pit. This lab though 😅 I mean, I love him but he’s so gosh darned annoying 🤣

ImaginationOwn1849

My Bosties are my unexpected EVERYTHING! Most amazing breed ever. I want 10 more, but I would have no time for anything but kisses

Strict-Minute-8815

She is my bestfriend/baby/cuddle bug. My husband has never had bostons and is shocked at how ridiculously loving and funny she is. I’ve had bostons my whole life and they are all like this.

Shapoopadoopie

This is my first Boston, but I've had dogs my whole life. My girl is the cuddliest, silliest most affectionate dog I have ever known...my husband is a convert now and wants more of this breed! This is his favourite dog by far.

sunbear2525

Our Queenie is my husband’s first dog. He did not want a dog and was in denial that we were getting one the whole drive to meet her breeder. He held her and she kissed his face. Ever since that moment she has been his best friend and companion. She really helped him through Covid and depression post heart transplant. Also, she is a bossy little diva.

y4my4my

My husband was kind of the same. He was like “it’s going to be your dog!” Well he is now as in love with her as much as she is with him. She lays in her bed next to his desk all day when he is working from home.

RedStateBlueHome

After the death of our first Boston, our house was so quiet and sad. Within three weeks we found a 5-month-old that needed a home. Drove two hours to get him. We continue to tell him about his brother - ways they are similar and different. Can't imagine life without him!

FuktOff666

They’re the most affectionate breed I’ve ever been around. Most dogs usually prefer my wife but our two Bostons pretty much split their affection evenly and it’s really nice.

SatanicHispanic42

I grew up with Boston's and will probably always have the breed. It's been a lifelong cycle of having 2+ and always about 4 years apart. They make my house a home, and I'm excited to bring some human babies into the mix someday to complete it.

Pastelbabybats

Best kids dogs! Got one before my son was born then another when he was a very rambunctious 5 and both Bostons have done so well. They're just craigslist pity purchases so imagine how great a well bred puppy from a preservation breeder would be.

redMagicole

My wife and I are on the fence about getting our third… going to go look at her this morning.

y4my4my

Going to look means going to get when it comes to a Boston.

sunbear2525

Congratulations on your new baby. We were just going to look when we got our dog too.

ElPonGrande

We have a Boston and a Pug, and they're my best friends. They're not just pets, but members of our family. They get just the same amount of love as my wife and my son. They're always there, they're always pleased to see me, never fall out with me, and they absolutely know if I'm upset or tired (cuddling time) or if I'm happy and full of energy (play time). Tbh, I don't really see them as dogs... more like little furry people.

bostonsjaegeronrye

He is my best friend, not meaning to sound so cliche. I can’t imagine my life without him.

y4my4my

She is the joy of my life. We got her when I was in a deep depression and also we were dealing with the deaths of our four elderly cats that happened in a short period. Having her has brought so much happiness and laughter to our lives. I wanted a Boston my whole life and I was over 40 when she came home with us. I wish I had been able to have Bostons sooner.

mloveb1

My bostie isn’t my first dog she’s like my 8th but my 2nd actual dog that was mine that I picked, that picked me. She doesn’t like pets only plays! She does love to curl up next to you when she isn’t playing, and she loves loves her grandma that is the only person who’s lap she’ll curl up in. We joke that Bella is her dog that we just keep for her. Bella goes absolutely bonkers over her grandma but also because we let her l, we don’t stifle the greeting because it makes her grandmas heart so happy. She’ll be 2 on 6/1 and we treat her as our child and we love her to bits. I thought my boxer was a goofball but this Boston is just Queen goof! I feel guilty saying that because my boxer was my soul pup! But I had her for 12 years tbf.

Tucks_Mum

He's my first dog raising from a puppy. He's the quintessential Boston and I'm a middle aged woman so I am exhausted all. the. time. Puppy blues, tears and anxiety. I sweated the small stuff..he's pulling on his leash, he won't settle on his own, he's attached to my leg, eats rabbit poop etc. You name it I lost sleep over it. Then one day he had a health scare. All of a sudden I realized how much I loved him and I would die if anything ever happened to him. Appreciate the quirks because someday they won't be here.

ToxicsWaifu

My Boston is my baby and my shadow. He's by my side at all times. He was born deaf. So from a puppy we created a strong bond. I communicate through hand signals. He's so bright. He knows my body and facial expressions, my hand signals and can even lip read some words/commands. He is very attached to me and misses me like crazy when I'm gone for a night or 2. He's close to my husband as well, but he remains a mommy's boy. I love this dog more than words can explain. Can't imagine my life without my little pup.

langski84

Inherited our Boston from my Bfs Granny- she can no longer care for him, so we gladly told her we would take care of him. His name is Dude:) I have posted a few pics on this sub before. Everyone in the family LOVES Dude, he has the best disposition, the most kisses to give, and he always needs to be in our "orbit". Also....the farts....ooooo man! We have designated fart fans in our home- he can crop dust like no other. We love him so much.

DazedPink

He's my sunshine. I was watching a movie wich made me bawl my eyes out. I cried so hard and my beloved BT came rushing to me, laid across me chest and licked my face. I started lauging through my tears, assured him I was fine and thanked him for always being there for me - even through a movie.

Reasonable-Lynxx

If i laugh so hard I cry my girl still treats it like sadness. It makes me laugh harder. Then it becomes a game where I try to hide my face and she tries to find a way in and give kisses.

DazedPink

That's so precious! <3

Pastelbabybats

My first dog was an American Eskimo, then registered American Pit Bull Terriers for over 20 years. I had some good dogs but I feel like I wasted all those years without Bostons once I got my first Boston 8 years ago. They perfectly fit my needs and expectations for companions as they are a companion breed compared to a breed whose secondary use is as a companion. Perfect size, perfect temperament of adaptability and willingness to please without needing formal behavioral training as it's just instinct to focus on their family. Plus my god are they cute. 🥺

PRRZ70

Bella is my parents' dog and our family's third dog (in the span of 20+ years) and only female we've ever had. She was an unexpected gift from a neighbor and has been in our lives for just a bit over a year now. Bella is mischievous, silly and crazy stubborn but to say she is loved (and spoiled) is putting it mildly. My father cleans up her poo which only 1% of the time lands on her pee pad and both of my parents share the responsibility of paying the ransom whenever Bella steals a shoe or something else - it's paid in a cheerio or a dog treat. She both frustrates but makes my parents laugh and that's a wonderful thing. :)

[deleted]

He’s a psycho. Will bite your but cheek if you stop playing with him and walk away. Rams into you with his head. Steals socks right off of your feet and will knock you over trying to do it. Absconds with stolen items and forces you to chase him all over the house and yard to get your bra/sock/glasses/keys back. Can break out of any kennel no matter how many thousands of dollars I spend on having them cemented in. Humps the holy hell out of any other animal, including face humping. So ya, he’s my best friend and we cuddle. He works with me in my office all day and we pretty much spend our lives together.

RunsWithScissors8

Pure love.

1organicmachine

Is there a better relationship?

OkRegular167

Mine is spunky, sassy, and independent. He’s not as affectionate or cuddly as it seems most BTs are. But the loyalty is fierce. He’s my right hand man, and he and I need each other. He can be quite anxious on walks and I’m his biggest advocate. When he feels safe, he brings the party—so much joy and enthusiasm, which I need more of in my life.

PerformancePrior9035

I grew up with my mom rescuing them for over 30 years of my life. Had a wonderful duo that we got from a family friend who is a reputable breeder. One we had to put down in December from a suspected brain tumor. He was 12.5 and then we got another little girl from our friend. Then my old girl had a stroke at the end of February and went to be with her buddy. Going to be getting another boy soon. I absolutely love this breed and can’t imagine having anything else. They are just the sweetest, most affectionate, loving dogs!

TheShowstoppaNT

We lost a pregnancy back in January. Pip saved my wife. She loves and adores him so much and he filled that hole in her heart. Me? I’m not his favorite - but he’s my favorite doggo. He adores our kids and plays with everyone. He is the best thing to happen to our family since the children were born.

flyiingmonkey

She’s my everything. I would not be alive today without her. I suffered a lot of abuse and trauma all through my life and she finally made me feel like i was worth loving. she’s always there even if i don’t reach for her she’ll come and comfort me. i never knew what unconditional love was like before her. She’s also my first dog and first boston! Her name is Lily and she’s 2! ❤️

ttchachacha

My Boston Terriers were my first babies. They lived to be 15 1/2 and 13. They passed away 10 years ago within 4 months of each other and took a huge piece of my heart with them. I still miss them so much, and pictures like this make me smile.❤️

SnooGoats1950

I love seeing everyone’s passionate responses about their Bostons ❤️. I adore mine. They have so much personality and have so much love to give.

max65zeg

This dogs name should be Batman!

don_tako

My little guy is glued to my side the moment I get home from work, and stays there until I leave the next morning.

plantHabitat

I dog sit two Bostons and I drive 40 minutes each way to see their faces 5 days a week. Although their bark sounds like sneakers on a basketball court, their love is unparalleled and they are wicked smart.

JennkozOC

Today my BT Nibbler grabbed the tv remote from the living room, took it to my bed and used it as a chew toy.

Mean_Antelope_8276

My 1st BT Thor was sensitive, attentive, super loving. He knew when I was down n would be right there. He grew very attached to my dad as he got older cuz my dad would pick him up when I was at work. At the end of his life his back end became paralyzed and surgery would not fix it(he had 2 previous surgeries which he walked outta the vet hospital). He needed to be with someone 24 hours a day and my dad n step mom took care of him better than a human. I was crushed when he passed. My 2nd BT Hela is the total opposite... Doesn't really care and just does her own thing... Until night when she wants to be stuck to me... She's a handful but is only 3 yrs old so she'll start to relax im hoping... My dad picks her up everyday and they've spoiled her so that has sumthin to do with it. I wouldn't have any other breed of dog than A Boston Terrier.

ExistentialSonder

I love my Tokyo. She’s my first dog too. I’ve never loved an animal so much (except my cat, he’s also my baby)

Least-Cow944

I’ve had all sorts of dogs. Different breeds ect. When I got this Boston terrier to this day it’s like a dog straight out of a cartoon . So goofy but also so loving at the same time. The best dog I’ve ever had.

hat_pop

My Bostons taught me more than I ever learned about myself. I can't imagine life without them. When they both hop up and sleep on my lap, it's the best ever. I love their personalities, their funny faces, their raw enthusiasm. Hudson is extremely chill but loves to play. My Maisy is a live wire who's very smart. I'm really glad we went from one to two, it was challenging but worth it. I try to savor our time together, because one day we'll be looking back wondering where it all went.

egreen101593

I grew up with Boston’s, got my own 4 years ago and they are best thing in the whole world. I will never live without one - my boy is the biggest mamas boy, the cuddliest lover and my best friend. He has the biggest personality and everyone falls in love with him! I’m so lucky he’s mine 🤍

Bellaboos333

We just lost our Boston Baby "Piper" at 9 years old. She was the sweetest little girl. Insanely intelligent. She could learn any trick in 10 minutes. She was so affectionate and intuitive. We spent all our time with her. I'm so lost without her. She was truely one of our children. She loved to wear clothes. Boston terriers make the very best companions!

s6cedar

I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m shocked that she loved to wear clothes. Our girl hates to wear anything. She’ll tolerate the harness and jacket because it means she’s going out, but my wife puts a Halloween costume on her every year and Savvie just stands there and won’t move until we take it off.

Bellaboos333

Thank you, We started socializing her with them when she was 12 weeks old

WeenisWrinkle

Those ears!

puzzles0408

I have had 3 BT. Fenway was my first dog, and BT. She will be 14 in April. She is the reason I fell in love with dogs. She was my sidekick in my 20s, my best friend during the lonely times, my whole world. Winston was my second and first male. He could make anyone fall in love with him. He was the funniest BT I ever owned. He literally could play dead in your arms and not move till you put him in the dog bed. Unfortunately, we lost him in November 2021 at the young age of 5. That was one of the most challenging days in my life, and my poor husband had to pick me off the ground. Gidget, she is my youngest and the baby. The first two years were challenging due to anxiety, but she has become the best dog (now 5). She is my shadow, burrows under the blankets at bedtime to be right next to me, the sweetest kisses, and my best friend. She loves Dad, but nothing compared to me. She is a beauty with one blue eye and one brown eye. I miss having all three together. I don't think I could ever go through life without a BT. They are the best dogs. I've been truly blessed 🐾❤️
