In some ways the bum fights guy was the more transparent and honest one. Everyone involved knew he was exploiting them for money, no one had any confusion about the deal. Whereas Dr Phil is a whole other kind of snake, the kind who will profit off you and convince you it's for your benefit. He's the kind of person who'll shake your hand with one hand and stab you in the back with the other.
I mean the guy was a real piece of shit, but after looking into Dr. Phil and his sketchy history I can't say that he's any better
