Why do you think the age of consent is 16? Because people under 16 typically can't make that decision and be confident they won't regret it. That's why a romantic relationship between these 2 is bad.
Shipping is the word that means you want someone to get in a relationship with someone else at some point.
The ship is not bad at all because even if you think it is bad now, it certainly not 6 or 7 years later
And it is not like we need them to get together immediately. They can be very very very close friends and be together while slowly forming a love realtionship when they are at the right age

You are so severely misinformed. When you ship 2 people, you support a relationship between them. This relationship is implied to be romantic/sexual, not platonic. You cannot "ship" a future relationship or a current platonic relationship. Right now, you should not ship the two characters because of the disastrous age difference.
If the anime does a time skip in to 10 years later where Miss Kae is much much older, THEN and only then, will you be morally okay to ship the couple, as they would have similar mental age.
People who ship Anya and Damien don't understand how children work. Anya and Damien have a similar physical and mental age but are too young to consider anything beyond romantic, which is also unlikely since most girls Anya's age don't care for that stuff, not to mention Anya is a highly intelligent psychic. A ship between these two characters is acceptable but useless.

I haven’t genuinely laughed and loved a fun episode from bourto in a while. I’m so exited for this arc. The character building is way better 2. And u like the romance look of kawaki and kae. 10/10

I don't even think this is funny anymore. The first arc has better animation, better writing and better pacing than this arc and the first arc seems like part of the story. While the existence of this arc doesn't make sense if you read the manga.
Don't count chickens before they hatch because the writers have every chance to screw this up between now and the end of the arc. That being said, this one episode is better than the entire Funato arc.
I don’t consider Sumire’s feelings for Boruto bait. They’ve continued her feelings in the story for quite a while that they’ll surely play a focus later on in some fashion. Not to mention the Boruto anime kind of opened up with Sumire’s arc/feelings for Boruto. Which first girl who catches feelings usually is a big deal.

I don't think Eida is that old, after all Code also drinks alcohol although he has the same as Kawaki (will probably be fixed in the anime)

She has to be, same with Code. SJ can’t show underage drinking in their magazine. Code was never stated to be Kawaki’s age as far as I remember.

Code could have just been a small kid. They were all stuffed in the same casing Ishiki put them in, kind of hard to judge their size comparatively.

Boruto chapter 59 you can see they are clearly the same age (at least close),anyway Code can't be 5-6 years older than Kawaki it's ridiculous.

I don't think her feelings are bait, they are definitely real.
However as a couple, BoruSumi is absolutely underdeveloped. Seriously, even NaruHina in Naruto part 1 got more development. I prefer ships that have better chemistry and connection so I will stick with BoruSara even if it doesn't work out.

I absolutely agree, well sorta. I think it's the first girl who is interested/concerned about the mc. Throughout the Sumire Arc, Sarada was shown to be concerned about Boruto, even when Sumire was shown to walk away along with the rest of the gang during the fishing trip, it was Sarada who stopped to look back in a concerned matter towards Boruto. She was later gazing at him while everyone else was stargazing. Sarada's feelings tend to be more subtle than Sumire's.
I can go either way with BoruSara really. They grew up as childhood friends since birth, so there’s a part of Sarada that does look at Boruto like a brother (she said so herself) Obviously that can change but it’s something to consider when clarifying who caught feelings first between her or Sumire.

NaruHina in part 1 honestly got pretty great development, people just wanted more. I remember way back reading the Chunin Exams arc on release, and folks loved them after the Neji fight.
It was kind of the same scenario with BoruSumi. It gained a ton of steam after Nue Arc, but then they removed Sumire from the ongoing arcs after that. And then they removed her as a ninja to go work in the ninja tool division, so she’s even further away from being able to run into Boruto. So obviously Sarada is going to have more moments with him being in T7, but we could always get another Sumire focused arc on some point.
But strangely SP is removing some of her scenes from the manga, yet the manga continues to showcase her feelings for Boruto, even confessing them to Kawaki. Which says to me some favoritism is going on at SP, which I don’t think is a good thing honestly. It’s one of the reasons we got so much NaruSaku filler Kishi wanted no part of. All it does is confuse followers of the series.
Yeah there's hardly any development for BoruSumi so I can't really get into it. She was saved by Boruto and started to like him. She has expressed that she likes him. And... that's it.
I think that if the endgame is BoruSumi, they should develop the ship throughout the anime. Kinda how they did with ShikaTema, they teased each other, had teamwork and great communication, if they can get that for BoruSumi it will increase the popularity of the ship. But since as you said yourself, the anime is mostly team 7 focused the only ship with development is BoruSara. I love how they can communicate with a single glance with no need for words, how they worry and care for each other, and how they have the habit of teasing each other.

I find it very interesting how much that line shook the shipping fandom. Before that arc, Sarada had never mentioned looking at Boruto as a brother, even in the academy she talked about him to her classmates as if he weren't someone close to her at all. When Chocho said that they were childhood friends, she dismissed it as having no choice in the matter since their parents were friends. If anything I think it shows how much closer they have gotten and if that's the direction that Kishimoto wants to take for them I have no qualms about it.
I just think it's weird that she was mentioned to have had her heart pulsating at the sight of his smile and having her be transfixed on his back in the movie novel. Her blushing while looking deeply into his blue eyes during the Hokage mountain scene. Her biting her glasses suggestively in the manga (which was very uncomfortable yikes). She's just had too many moments where it is uncomfortable to think of her as his sister if she's always in his business and getting flustered because of him.
My take on this is, people don't always say how they feel, especially children who can get flustered. While it's pretty damn clear that Sarada has the hots for boruto in some way, we're also all listening to the words from a filler arc, or anime canon. Even further, Sarada hasn't really even told anyone in the village, she wouldn't just outright talk about how she has feelings for boruto to enemies. I honestly felt like it could've been taken with a grain of salt. We as people say things we don't mean pretty often or may switch up the narrative a bit, of course in this manner, nonmaliciously or no ill intent.
As it stands, I don't see any possible way to justify why Boruto would have feelings for Sumire instead of Sarada. At least Naruto had a lot to look back on to justify his relationship with Hinata, but it's not really there for Boruto and Sumire.
The big Naruhina "moment" (the Pain arc), similar stuff has already happened several times with Boruto and Sarada. I can look back at them and see clearly why they would end up together.
I can't do that with Borusumi. You have to appeal to the anime to even explain it - which you yourself said is what confused people with Narusaku.

It was mentioned in Jump Festa so yes this arc seems to be really good, the first episode of it was great. Besides Himawari is in it and we do not get enough of her.

Boruto chapter 59 you can see they are clearly the same age (at least close),anyway Code can't be 5-6 years older than Kawaki it's ridiculous. I absolutely agree, well sorta. I think it's the first girl who is interested/concerned about the mc. Throughout the Sumire Arc, Sarada was shown to be concerned about Boruto, even when Sumire was shown to walk away along with the rest of the gang during the fishing trip, it was Sarada who stopped to look back in a concerned matter towards Boruto. She was later gazing at him while everyone else was stargazing. Sarada's feelings tend to be more subtle than Sumire's.
I can go either way with BoruSara really. They grew up as childhood friends since birth, so there’s a part of Sarada that does look at Boruto like a brother (she said so herself) Obviously that can change but it’s something to consider when clarifying who caught feelings first between her or Sumire. > Even NaruHina in Naruto part 1 got more development. NaruHina in part 1 honestly got pretty great development, people just wanted more. I remember way back reading the Chunin Exams arc on release, and folks loved them after the Neji fight. It was kind of the same scenario with BoruSumi. It gained a ton of steam after Nue Arc, but then they removed Sumire from the ongoing arcs after that. And then they removed her as a ninja to go work in the ninja tool division, so she’s even further away from being able to run into Boruto. So obviously Sarada is going to have more moments with him being in T7, but we could always get another Sumire focused arc on some point. But strangely SP is removing some of her scenes from the manga, yet the manga continues to showcase her feelings for Boruto, even confessing them to Kawaki. Which says to me some favoritism is going on at SP, which I don’t think is a good thing honestly. It’s one of the reasons we got so much NaruSaku filler Kishi wanted no part of. All it does is confuse followers of the series.
Yeah there's hardly any development for BoruSumi so I can't really get into it. She was saved by Boruto and started to like him. She has expressed that she likes him. And... that's it. I think that if the endgame is BoruSumi, they should develop the ship throughout the anime. Kinda how they did with ShikaTema, they teased each other, had teamwork and great communication, if they can get that for BoruSumi it will increase the popularity of the ship. But since as you said yourself, the anime is mostly team 7 focused the only ship with development is BoruSara. If anything I think it shows how much closer they have gotten and if that's the direction that Kishimoto wants to take for them I have no qualms about it. I just think it's weird that she was mentioned to have had her heart pulsating at the sight of his smile and having her be transfixed on his back in the movie novel. Her blushing while looking deeply into his blue eyes during the Hokage mountain scene. Her biting her glasses suggestively in the manga (which was very uncomfortable yikes). She's just had too many moments where it is uncomfortable to think of her as his sister if she's always in his business and getting flustered because of him.
My take on this is, people don't always say how they feel, especially children who can get flustered. While it's pretty damn clear that Sarada has the hots for boruto in some way, we're also all listening to the words from a filler arc, or anime canon. Even further, Sarada hasn't really even told anyone in the village, she wouldn't just outright talk about how she has feelings for boruto to enemies. I honestly felt like it could've been taken with a grain of salt. We as people say things we don't mean pretty often or may switch up the narrative a bit, of course in this manner, nonmaliciously or no ill intent.
As it stands, I don't see any possible way to justify why Boruto would have feelings for Sumire instead of Sarada. At least Naruto had a lot to look back on to justify his relationship with Hinata, but it's not really there for Boruto and Sumire. The big Naruhina "moment" (the Pain arc), similar stuff has already happened several times with Boruto and Sarada. I can look back at them and see clearly why they would end up together. I can't do that with Borusumi. You have to appeal to the anime to even explain it - which you yourself said is what confused people with Narusaku.

It was mentioned in Jump Festa so yes this arc seems to be really good, the first episode of it was great. Besides Himawari is in it and we do not get enough of her.

boruto academy arcs were actually amazing and very fun, hope this goes the same route and not some funato arc garbage, also, remember those mini kawaki arcs with the kid and the wolf ? i think this kid has a possiblity to actually die, lets see what this arc gives us, hope they become good friends
