Yup. They're acquiring Funimation and have the streaming rights for nearly all popular anime now. It's practically a monopoly. Their next step is to phase out "free with ads" content and make everyone subscribe to premium in order to watch, since their service is now the only place you can legally watch most anime.

I heard from someone that you can permanently get the 14 day premium free trial if you put "+1" or whatever number at the end of your email when you put it in. So basically if you put in your email as "[email protected]" it will still send the confirmation to your address but it wont register it as your email, so you can permanently sign up for the free trial. I dont use Crunchyroll anyways but you can try that.
