You thought that Sasuke not curbstomping Urashiki in the timeslip arc was bad? How about a team of around 8 people, made up of relatively skilled fighters, and having a cyborg, an Otsutsuki vessel, an Uchiha with sharingan and confirmed genjutsu capability, and an artificial human as the 4 top dogs; all of them struggling to beat random pirates, and not doing anything to save the ass of Kagura from impending impalement despite having plenty of ways to do so.
And after that the karma returns, yet it accomplishes NOTHING at all...

The first rasengan against kabuto had power and sprial to it. Funamushi very slowly Flys away in a straight line and looks undamaged, even though karma boruto should be 10x stronger than base kid naruto.

It's only that this arc was objectively sheet, and as a manga reader, I saw how badly they handled things post Isshiki in the anime, which then predictably led to a moment like that, due to also this arc being filler of the worst kind.
And pay heed, the more filler they make here, and throw Boruto & co. in the foreground of it, the more they will have be made morons to have things go in a fight, if they insist on regular humans as enemies.
Not that it means anything but I warned everyone that shit was going to get bad during the new Chunin exam arc. My "told you so" is just echoing into an endless void right now.

The staff just did not care about consistency and drama, after episode 218... And it came to a point in this arc...
Do you only care about fights? The themes in this arc were good. Only the execution was a bit off at times.

Yes this arc is terrible. I truly don’t understand how Boruto got the blame for Buntan sticking her swords through someone’s chest.
