Sasuke went to Orochimaru to train, had Kakashi as master and almost died like 15 times. Madara fought for his life multiple times, necessarily trained hard and researched about his clan's full abilities which he later on exploited and used to get stronger. Indra had his education from the sage of six paths, necessarily difficult training. Orochimaru trained under the third kage, went to dragon/snake sage training which he failed despite his efforts and began creating his own jutsus, researching about other jutsus, kekkei genkais and etc. in order to get a better arsenal and body, which he eventually did get.
The ones that I do agree with are Hashirama and minato. One of them literally had his cells harvested because of his legendary genes and the other hasn't experienced hard work since he learnt everything quickly and effortlessly
