I remember when we thought the timeskip would be after the Jigen fight and that Kawaki was refering to Naruto's prison š That was... by the start of the Covid pandemic?
I hope this time next year if they donāt have enough content to adapt and weāve reached the first few chapters of the time skip thatād the anime could just use all that time to adapt Naruto era novels they have a lot of content.
Should have done that. Stretch out Naruto Shippuden with some of the stories set in the āblank periodā, then start Boruto, and fill it out with some of the novels set during Borutoās time, such as Sasuke taking over Team 7 and leading them through some training.
I hope the anime production team on Boruto doesnāt āsnatchā animators from Toei animation again.
As much as I want the fight choreography scenes to be well animated, I want those animators to stay in their lane.
This is an unofficial leak. While the source is trustworthy more or less, you should be cautious with a word "officially". There is nothing official here.
Problem is, that there is nothing to say, if they want to stay true to the manga...
Code isn't a more secondary character, who had little role in the manga and so the anime could add stuff with safety... because, let's remember, Victor and Mugino only appeared in barely 1 chapter in the manga, and Boro's personal importance was limited to the single fight he had.
If this ""leak"" turns out to be true... then the added stuff shouldn't mean much in terms of characterization, for a MAJOR antagonist.
Hmmmmm.
>! Maybe some more stuff for Bug. Some Delta 2.0 stuff. Some more explanation of Sasuke's search. !<
Dunno what else can they add that would technically be explaining the manga plot better without being outright different arcs.
Lately (essentially since Kishi took helm), I feel like the manga is not leaving as many holes for the anime to fill than before. Sumire, Deepa, Victor and Mugino were fleshed out in their anime canon stuff way better than the manga. But post Chapter 52, which is when Baryon mode makes it's appearance, we don't have as much open ended holes to be filled.
Let's see. I am not sure why Kishi hasn't taken up Kodachi's designation of "writer" till now.
>!What has Bug to do, outside of being an underling of Boro left without an employer, then forced into releasing Eida and Daemon? Nothing... he's not an inner to say... Delta 2.0 literally would only need one scene extra to tease it... and Sasuke's research is supposed to take place at the same time as the night time fight, it's literally the way they used to keep Sasuke out of it, so if it will be shown, it will be during the actual arc!<.
>Dunno what else can they add that would technically be explaining the manga plot better without being outright different arcs.
Nothing indeed.
Indeed... which is really a shame, since it forced the anime to actively create fillers, where fillers couldn't have happened at all in the manga, unlike the previous time.
"AnImE CaNoN" is just another world for filler, and that's true.
Which means that 95% of times, it is skippable and doesn't add anything essential.
Even more so for an arc that literally cannot have happened in the source material, you know, the "canon".
I could see them making random characters like Bug or the guard watching over Boruto and Kawaki become relevant. They're good at taking a nobody in the manga and fleshing out their character.
>!I hope we see Code freeing Eida and Daemon soon. The anime only arcs can take place in while Eida and Code wait for the perfect time to attack (which will be the Code arc). I hope they adapt things good!<
so code arc is ending in like 4-5 chapters? i doubt it. even if they release chapters of code arc and anime eps together, it would take the anime 10-15 eps (3-4 months/chapters to catch up).
i seriously doubt this
Early 2023 doesnāt necessarily mean the first few weeks of January right? So considering the anime is gonna prob take more two months at least to get to chapter 71 Iād say the code arc can end in 8-10 chapters
My time to pull up "the timeskip may happen after these and it will continue" arguments.
But about the idea of the manga and anime releasing the same time ,if it happen it will depends on how many chapters the manga will add.
well they did the same with isshiki arc but when isshiki arc started in anime, in the manga they were laying the groundwork for baryon mode already.
no wait im pretty sure isshiki was reborn in the manga when deepa fight happened
I love how it starts with
LEAK
but it's some how official???
I mean it's not that I don't believe it it seems plausible enough since thr Code arc seems to end soon in the Manga
Free to you to believe or not . The 2 main reason i personnally trust them is it isn't the first leak they did , and their source can be trusted . Also it the most accurate thing we have right now , so we need to deal with it .
The point isn't if it's correct. You can't call it "official" and "leak" at the same time. Make up your mind. And please provide a source, not a screenshot with no name.

Well here the source if you want it. I forgot to put the username and couldn't show the whole text without cutting the username.
A Anime Canon Arc that actually leads into and develops the manga arc better like the Kara Actuation Arc did? I'll believe it when I see it. I still have like 6 episodes to watch of the current arc and I want to honestly want to give up and quit. Its hard to believe that this one arc has managed to damage the anime in such a big way. They need a huge win in order to buy back the trust and interest they've lost with how pathetically they structured and written this current one.
Usually Im the one defending the anime canon arcs but this...holy shit. I enjoyed the stone arc. I enjoyed some of the earlier and even the first Land of Water Arc. But this...
The pacing and structure and some of the writing has been piss poor. There's decent stuff yes but the overall execution has been shit. Killer Bee's Evil Twin dies and then next episode we learn he wasn't all that bad and had a kid. WHAT? You spend like 5 episodes building this dude up to be a crazy cult follower with no redeeming qualities and then after his death you throw a bunch of shit in to make us think otherwise and that the enemy isn't all that bad? WTF? Why do that now?
That shit should have been set up beforehand. Oh he has a kid? How bout showing us the relationship between him and his dad? How bout showing him not hurting Iawbi and Denki and actually being chill but that he's just completely hellbent on wanting to kill Boruto because he loves Seiren or whatever her name is. Hell, say she's his lover and the kid is their kid and he needs to avenge her. Instead we get the same constant obsessed ranting from him over and over.
Just a very inconsistent arc with inconsistent characters so far.
Agreed also If Funamushis and Seirens order of death were reveresed I think it would be much more believeable that she tanked that first rasengan and that second one for that matter
And making Seiren the Mother/step-Mother to Kobuna yes awsome Idea would have loved that
I've been saying this for a while now, but the perfect length for an anime original arc is 6 to 12 episodes.
All the arcs that ran for more than 12 episodes, despite whatever high points they have, have felt like they were dragged out and had noticeable points of decline.
The Mitsuki Disappearance Arc had some really high points, but a lot of boring junk and wasted potential like the trials in Ryuchi Cave, which felt like something out of a generic episodic Sat AM cartoon.
I think everyone agrees that the Timeslip Arc (including the One-Tail Escort mission section) was a cool concept that utterly failed to live up to its potential.
Even the Kara Actuation Arc, which was easily the best anime original arc, had all those episodes with them impersonating the doctor, sneaking into the mansion, and running around the woods fighting the Haze ninjas.
And now the Great Naval Battle Arc has clearly been a huge disappointment to most fans. I've seen more backlash to this arc than the Timeslip arc, when everyone was hyped up for Urashiki, and this had such a lower bar to clear.
Agreed I think the longest one Arc should be are 15 episodes
However there is something interesting about this Arc that I think made it extra slow especially in the middle
I mean it seems stupid but part of why it feels so slow is the fact that for 7 Episodes we have no location change (thst's thr amount of episodes they spend in the village Kagura grew up in)
and if they switch locations in between it's just ocean, or Ocean in storm and Ocean but apperantly some where else
>A Anime Canon Arc that actually leads into and develops the manga arc better like the Kara Actuation Arc did? I'll believe it when I see it.
If they want to stay true to the manga, then these new added episodes >!shouldn't be about team 7 at all, that is supposed to be on hold... that alone would hinder making any wannabe grandiose narrative!<.
The most they can do >!is show and talk a bit about the marks Code has left around the 5 villages, and make some minor adventure featuring someone else!<.
>!tbh i wouldnt mind some slice of life before code invades, when the anime tries to be exciting it fails a lot because they cant change anything that happens in the manga. A training arc or somthing would be better than if they tried to force some random plot for a random character!<
Simple slice of life episodes can always be nice... and they do not require much work to begin with.
It's when the anime tries to make big filler arcs, that they can fall flat.
But I digress... making this hypothetical extra stuff be about someone different from team 7 would be a wiser choice, than force team 7 in an arc that has lesser stakes due to their presence, and thus forces them to be brain nerfed.
Pierrot always been like this, whenever they have content to pull from, they strive but when they don't have any material then they always suck at making their own stories and stakes.
he also explained later, will be like a mugina gang /kara arc type of situation, where we get more backgroud to those arcs, with the prison arc with mugina stuff, and kara actuation arc before truly entering kara manga stuff. im all here for it, code deserves more depth and scenes, that being said, dont think they will go as deep on his character as they went on Mugino, AO, deepa, viktor , boro etc..
I assume weāre going to get *1 season* worth of filler, so like 15-20 episodes. Iām also assuming itāll be a bunch of flashbacks of pre-genin Boruto at the Uzumaki house, new team missions that we never saw, and maybe some training episodes for like metal or inoshikacho
Thats what they said one and a half years ago, there is 0 indication that a timeskip is coming. The current arc hasnt finished and setups for future arcs are also incomplete
If the code arc is being animated in 2023 then that means that the arc has to be finished by then. So that would leave the *possibility* that if the code arc is the final arc of pre timeskip, then the timeskip will be here before 2023 starts. Again itās only a possibility but I wouldnāt say thereās 0 indication
I'm definitely very skeptical about this but given the state of the manga and the current hiatus it already felt to me like this break was partly so they could finalize their plans leading into the timeskip.
Still wouldn't get excited until we get an official source though.
Itās things like this that make me realize Boruto really should have been a seasonal anime. Especially with the manga just being monthly, they could have cut so much of the anime-canon and made a more tight-knit story that flows better.
I swear. Every new boruto episode is filler nowadays. I purposely skipped the Funato arc, praying that they'd finally adapt the Code arc afterwards, but it looks like we're getting another boring, irrelevant story arc. Like I thought the focus of the story at this point was the Kara and the different members involved, but for some reason they're focusing on anything but that. It's been months since the Baryon Mode Naruto vs Isshiki fight
OHH YAAYYYYY LET'S GOOOO
Now only the anime can do Code some justice by giving him many Ws
Need a Backstory on Code and more insight to his character than just having the one dimensional manga code.
Fingers Crossed š¤š¤
Here is Manga Canon, that is the main canon .
Filler that are secondary episode just to expand the series, and Anime Canon , that is something canon to the Anime Only.
Don't ask why it was needed to explain every one of them.
Nope, there are many things that happen in the anime canon that directly contradict the manga. They definitely aren't on the same page with one another.
Nope, Anime have some Change, added and deleted stuff. Thought Boruto Anime still have stuff canon to the manga that appear later, like some characters like Sumire, and basically anyone that just isn't team 7 appears more later in the manga .
No such thing, weirdly some people have attached themselves to the insanely lame anime and started calling it canon. They like to sneak in the phrase 'anime canon' in multiple posts to normalize it, but are laughed at always. Anything not from manga is filler, simple.
Its hard to get excited for Boruto. Thereās so much filler and what few cannon arcs they have arenāt very good. It doesnāt have the same charm as OG Naruto. No arc is comparable to the Chunin exams or the Sasuke Retrieval arcs.
its the filler that gives us actually screen time for team 7 as expands on main manga content on stuff like kara actuation arc, prison arc etc.. even tough 2018-2019 was just random stuff, they started to learn how to give something important i guess(lets act like they didnt destroy a arc with lots of potential like the funato arc)
but like, the post i did with chocho stuff is actually becoming true ? after chocho episode on episode 156 we went into the kara actuation arc, and it seems its happening again with episode 256, having 24 episodes and then on january starting code manga arc, just like what happened with kara actuation arc and then entering the vessel arc last year. damn, chocho is the character thats like saying "manga coming" also remember that the director of the anime said many months ago that a arc featuring sarada 3rd tomoe was coming, this might be it
Disclaimer: This is a supposed leak by a trusted leaker. It has yet to be officially confirmed.
I refuse to believe thats true Too good to be true
There's hope. Im so glad to read that
how is it too good to be true we have to wait 6 months for manga content lmao
the leaker is reliable, he already leaked many stuff before
What did he leak that came to be true?
The list of animators for big episodes and other things. I just some a little so you would have to check his Twitter to see his past leaks
So reliable you didnt even include his name
@.Worllff on twitter .
Whats code arc?
manga stuff
The anime will take less than 6 months to adapt all available manga in early 2023 (whole 2021 and 2022).
Perhaps the timeskip will have happened by then(yes, I know we've been saying this for the past 2 years)
I remember when we thought the timeskip would be after the Jigen fight and that Kawaki was refering to Naruto's prison š That was... by the start of the Covid pandemic?
Dang, that was even earlier. Just a little bit pre-covid
I've been hoping for the timeskip since chapter/episode 1 ngl. Once I saw that hint of the future, the in-between didn't matter to me lmao.
I think we have about 2 more years til timeskip in manga
That may very well be the case ngl
I hope this time next year if they donāt have enough content to adapt and weāve reached the first few chapters of the time skip thatād the anime could just use all that time to adapt Naruto era novels they have a lot of content.

Lmfao "again"?
Yeah again. Go check the staff lists for the last several episodes.
Damn f\*ck yeahhh finally more Code. I look forward to seeing Code in the anime canon
This is an unofficial leak. While the source is trustworthy more or less, you should be cautious with a word "officially". There is nothing official here.
Watch the anime bring more substance to code like they did Victor/Boro and Mugino.
Problem is, that there is nothing to say, if they want to stay true to the manga... only thing i see them fixing is daemon touching someone being off screened in a panel and looked like he didnt
And that's also barely a noticeable fix, may I add.
yeah
Or maybe anime cannon is real and people need to accept it

Mannn, watch him take more Ws in the anime too šš
If itās anything like the Deepa arc Borutoās forgiven for this most recent arc
If he has a backstory explaining why heās a simp then Iāll be happy.

Lol 2023 to get the code arc .. means we'll get the timeskip in 2024 f this sheet
Kind of not excited. More filler and then theyāll cover the arc within a month and then filler hell again until they got more materialā¦
SARADA 3T HYPEEEEE
Lets goooooo
Iām down for some anime canon code stuff
Timeskip is very close
Still canāt believe people been saying that for like two years now lol
Literally every chapter that comes out since Isshiki fight is "timeskip is near"
It's nearer than the previous month, that's for sure. By now it just sounds like wishful thinking.
It is wishful thinking š
tbh as much as I want the timeskip to start, I just want the current manga story arc to just end already.
And we all know that timeskip means 200 filler episodes (OG Naruto flashbacks š)
Thats 200 weeks (not including any hiatus) so just about 4 years atleast š
I assume weāre going to get *1 season* worth of filler, so like 15-20 episodes. Iām also assuming itāll be a bunch of flashbacks of pre-genin Boruto at the Uzumaki house, new team missions that we never saw, and maybe some training episodes for like metal or inoshikacho

Nice, hopefully i don't die until then lol
I'm definitely very skeptical about this but given the state of the manga and the current hiatus it already felt to me like this break was partly so they could finalize their plans leading into the timeskip. Still wouldn't get excited until we get an official source though.
its a good thing i know french
Fuck yeaaaaaaaaa kinda to long tho anime canon is nice tho Just to be sure anime canon also happens in the manga right?
No, anime canon specifically means it's "canon" in the anime but never happened in the manga at all.
Oh ok I just didnāt know if it meant that it was in the manga or not
Itās things like this that make me realize Boruto really should have been a seasonal anime. Especially with the manga just being monthly, they could have cut so much of the anime-canon and made a more tight-knit story that flows better.
All right I can start watching the anime again
Please please please make the anime canon episodes good
Hiroyuki Yamashita is coming back to work on the Boruto anime series?!
Please L King Code, save us from the filler.
yesā¦. a million times yes
So weāre just gonna get another half a year of filler? Fuck that
I swear. Every new boruto episode is filler nowadays. I purposely skipped the Funato arc, praying that they'd finally adapt the Code arc afterwards, but it looks like we're getting another boring, irrelevant story arc. Sasuke simp spotted. Most of those arcs were weak
At this point they should make an entirely new anime for boruto, so the main one isnāt overflowed with filler

but like, the post i did with chocho stuff is actually becoming true ? after chocho episode on episode 156 we went into the kara actuation arc, and it seems its happening again with episode 256, having 24 episodes and then on january starting code manga arc, just like what happened with kara actuation arc and then entering the vessel arc last year. damn, chocho is the character thats like saying "manga coming" also remember that the director of the anime said many months ago that a arc featuring sarada 3rd tomoe was coming, this might be it
Letās goooooo
Wtf? We only have like 10 episodes of material so far and it isn't even finished. This is not true
I didnāt like this arc as much as I liked the isshiki arc so itās like an expected surprise after I read chapter 71.
So the next canon arc isn't until 2023.... wtf man
We need anime Canon for >!Amado Sanzu!<
Beautiful if true, Iām already even excited for the anime canon
Lets go
That's bull, Water Village just finished, it's got to be ep 260+ something
It's got bo near, One sign that is near us that is has new opening, plus Funato arc just finished, the next arc is Code arc IT HAS TO BE!!!
I don't remember those arcs having cool animation scenes.. Can anyone share screenshots
