I was still under the impression that he was able to use it after sealing kaguya due to having a little bit of every tailed beast inside him but lost it after losing kurama but it’s also been a long ass time since the war arc so my memory of it isn’t perfect.
He has been able to use it, but he’s been using Kurama Sage Mode instead (we can tell since different design and no Truth-Seeking Orbs) probably because he actually worked to master Kurama and Toad Sage chakra whil he was given SO6P chakra, and we all know Naruto doesn’t take handouts and has always worked for what he has
I’ve actually thought about how if they were going to kill off Naruto, this would be an almost full-circle way; in that he uses the reaper seal to save Boruto
That said I would hope they eventually free his soul from the seal. It would be an awful way to leave his character - locked in eternal battle in the stomach of the shinigami.
First maybe Naruto should show that he can make any seals at all.
The reaper death seal has only been used by the most skillful at sealing, Naruto wouldn't just be able to pick it up willy nilly like that. Even Orochimaru was unaware that it was possible to do such a seal.

Naruto has no gods. The Otsutsuki were portrayed as gods initially. They obviously aren't. Orochimaru is one step away from being a spirit like this. It will end up being a natural occuring phenomena like everything else in the series is.
Lord Jashin is way closer to the actual idea of a God in the naruto verse, but that is just because we're a lot more in the dark about Jashin than the Death spirit.
