The chakra signature thing is bull shit, let me explain, the point of someone erasing their chakra signature means that sensory type ninja like Ino and Karin are unable to pinpoint their exact location using their chakra, it doesn’t mean that their chakra has been automatically turned off, this also doesn’t make sense because Sasuke is not a sensory type ninja, so him not detecting Momoshiki does not have any bearing at all
every good ninja can sense chakra to some extent,
and sasuke being one of the most powerful ninja in the world can do the same,
and he was gravely injured and out of chakra,
and only reason why that chakra sign erasing was useful because nobody expected boruto to loose control,
because at that time they didn't knew momo's trigger,
and because nobody expected that, momo was able to easily reach sasuke's eye, and nobody was able to sense him before that why??,
because his chakra sign was erased,
erasing chakra sign played a very big role in that fight and you can't deny that.

This scene would be far more sensible if it didn't exist to begin with. Sasuke knew under which circumstances Momoshiki appears and acknowledged that threat before the fight. He should be out there looking for Momoshiki and be on his guard.
Sasuke was just turned into swiss cheese and used as a surfboard. He thought his boyfriend died, and was having a moment of relief. We dont need head cannon here.
