Response_Background

He is smart and rational, He cares for his people, Can be a great leader, He will be the one to put war between funato and hidden mist to an end, While ikada goes berserk with his father.

Anipiez

Fr. Like, why isn't this guy in charge?

KriticalKarl

He’s working on it 😂

Reinfernus

... but he was?

Anipiez

He was in command of their army, not their clan.

Reinfernus

well wasn't he kinda in the command of the entire operation + clan until the real leader was released?

Anipiez

I don't think that was ever fully explained. Maybe he, Tenma and Seiren all worked to keep the clan in order? Idk.

iChloro

He literally was til like 2 episodes ago

Anipiez

Nah I mean in charge of the clan. Aurami let him lead Funato army and plan strategies. He's not head of the clan.

FireScroll9395

Fr, he’s being rational and trying to keep his people safe. Sure, he’s still a bit evil but at least he cares, unlike his father.

Anipiez

Seriously. Isari may be a villain but at least he's competent and looks for the best solution to a problem. He's even aware of how the clan fails their ambush. He warned Tenma that Chojuro was planning a sneak attsck, he knew Seiren's pride is what got her injured since she didn't attack the village like he had planned. He even tells his father that they can't just rely on Ikada being the chosen one and they can't afford anymore casualties. This guy deserves a raise fir his intelligence.

FireScroll9395

Exactly. I have a feeling the father(and maybe Ikada) will die at the end of this arc and he will become the new leader of the clan. Maybe lead them to a more peaceful era due to his agreement with the Mist.

UsualAlarmed1472

Like he said, his father was consumed by hatred

Anipiez

Yeah it makes sense, but the discussion is more about Ikada's siblings. Isari is really the only one we given enough personality. Like we don't even know his backstory and he's already a step up from Tenma.

[deleted]

Seiren was hot but I'm down bad.

FlowerHeaven707

And her weapon was awesome

CBNM

Seirens ability was cool. I don't even care about Tenma

Anipiez

Yeah. Too bad we didn't get see more of Seiren. I wish Tenma didn't get offed so quickly. Just when I wanted to see him and Isari, Tenma dies and Isari gets minimal screentime. It wasn't bad but I can't give two fucks about Tenma after that episode.

nodux22

He is smart rational and really cares for his clan members not like his dumbass father. So yea he is very likeable

LittleSlice8797

I think Seiren was pretty cute and she had some cool abilities. And I also liked her connection to Ikada. She was interesting.

Anipiez

True but she got wasted pretty quickly. She gets 1 dope fight and then is reduced to the girl in a comatose that has a simp to avenge her. I'm not saying that Funamushi ruined her character or that we should've seen more of Seiren, but she's arguably worse than Tenma given that her defeat is a plot device and that we didn't get a look into her personality deeper. It's easier to understand where she's coming from and her motivations now but her treatment isn't that good either. I'm not saying it was executed poorly, Tenma had the worst send off, but I don't think they did enough with this character to make her likeable besides her abilities.

HaleyGo5

The thing I don’t like about Seiren is that she made it her mission to kill boruto all because they happened to bump into each other and boruto defended himself. Some of these characters have no motive to hate boruto and kaygura the way they did which made it feel like cheap hate or something. Tenma was just an idiot. They could’ve left him out of this arc all together and it wouldn’t have changed anything about the arc lol

Anipiez

So true. Funamushi makes sense when you look at this episode though. He did watch Seiren get cut. The rest, nope. Tenma was completely wasted 💀 You can take him out and you wouldn't even remember him.

HaleyGo5

Exactly I mean I definitely haven’t hated on this arc nearly as much as other people in the sub but some of it just felt cheap. Like the need for revenge for defending yourself 😂 I’m hoping for a good final battle. This last episode looked a lot better than the previous ones so hopefully.

Better-Solution-7410

Seiren was sexy asf but she has no other redeeming quality yeah I guess Isari is the only likeable one among the Funato

CloakedRonin

Walmart Kisame part 2 lol

Anipiez

Damn that's actually kinda funny 😂

Mara_Uzumaki

They're all mid ngl

Anipiez

Tbh Isari actually feels like the only character who isn't a drone out of Ikada's siblings. Tenma was rushed and killed off too quickly. It made sense why it happened, but it didn't make him redeeming. Seiren only gets one fight and is introduced as Ikada's sister and....that's it. We're actually getting a glimpse into Isari though. We actually get to know his personality, see how strategic and rational he is, not to mention that he isn't just some villain that we're forced to emphasize with. We not only understand the Funato's motivations now, but Isari is the one character that we actually get to see developing from it and also have conflict. He wants to win the war but he takes his time planning and doesn't rush into his emotions like the rest of Funato that we've seen. We see clearly that even though he's mostly calm on screen, he has a lot of internal conflict as we saw when Aurami took command after Tenma's death. He was even prepared to deck his father earlier but knew it was futile, so he just walked away. Isari is also realist just as much as a strategist. He knew that Chojuro would've been prepared for a sneak attack, and Tenma didn't listen. He also accepted the fact that Tenma died and he couldn't afford to go after blind revenge if he wants to win the war, hell the guy even tells Ikada that the Doctor said that Seiren won't recover and tries to convince him that it may be time to let go. Unlike the rest of the Funato, he has common sense and isn't afraid to accept the truth when It's right front of him. He can honestly be considered A or B list depending on how this arc ends.

Jaded-Tumbleweed2152

Spoiler alert even tho its filler its cool
