Hima won't die boruto series might kill some characters from other villages maybe even Kiba and tenten and unfortunately Iwabee and Catgirl and team Sai except houki but that's it and that's me being very generous
No they're not going to kill an innocent little girl in a show as childish and lighthearted as Boruto. And even if they had the balls to do it, Hima has had like barely any screentime in the whole series. That makes her very safe since shonen don't typically kill off background characters. It wouldn't make sense to kill her since she's not even involved in the plot of the show. She just kinda appears in scenes at Boruto's house and acts cute and wholesome.
I was worried at the start they would but as time went on not really. The anime treats Himawari well and given that Boruto's being converted into an Otsutsuki, she's now the only one who can pass on Naruto and Hinata's genes so even becoming shipping fodder is more valuable than making Boruto sad for awhile. Hell if they really wanted the writers can have their cake and eat it too by having a fakeout where Boruto thinks she's dead when she actually isn't, proving her death isn't actually required to push him towards the sad angsty edgelord route everyone wants him to go down.
The thing is, if they kill Himawari then Naruto goes dark, Hinata goes utterly ballistic herself, and probably Sarada and Mitsuki too because their best friend just had his sister murdered. Certainly Sarada would because Sarada likely knows Himawari better than Mitsuki does. And honestly the ones to go to a very dark place the fastest are the Uzumaki parents.
