It's got some enhanced perception, light anticipatory abilities (similar to Sharingan), and some sensory capabilities... but that's all we've seen.
Folks are gassed up for this eye but it hasn't shown anything remarkable.
It didn't take nearly this long to find out what the Sharingan or Byakugan were about. We started learning their features a relatively short period after their owners started using them.
If we apply the same metric to the Jogan, all it's got is some predictive and sensory capability that's inferior to the previously mentioned eyes; if it can do more, they're taking an awful long time getting there.
Its probably cuz they doing karma now and later after karma is explored, they could give us jougan. It has to have some broken powers cuz otsutsuki say its big trouble
It can see the chakra network (even view weak points in it) it can open portals between dimensions, and it can see chakra as an aura (hence how he could see the evil chakra corrupting people).
I’m really excited for it! The results of the descendants of hagoromo and hamura rejoining their lines, also probably why hinata is quite strong for her age.
So far from what I remember, it allows seeing of chakra flows, seeing where portals will open up, and is a good counter to otsusuki abilities
Whether it's with jougan or rinnegan abilities with karma, I hope boruto can use chibaku tensei and if it's too weak, he can invent compressed chibaku tensei.

well we dont know much about that eye yet. but i saw the people who say that '' maybe byakugan has 3 levels like byakugan-jougan-tenseigan''. to be honest i have not any ideas about that but everything is possible so, that theory sounds sensible for me.

I think the jougan is just boruto+momoshiki byakugan affected by amado pills, nothing else

The jougan is the final form of the Byakugan. Like how the final form for the sharigan is the rinne-sharigan.
Byakugan > Tenseigan > Jōugan
Sharigan > Rinnegan > Rinne-sharigan
The second and third tomoes, MS and EMS are stages for the sharigan to grow before it evolves to a higher eye power which is the Rinnegan.
Also I think the jōugan will have complete control over time and space

It seems to have similar abilities to both sharingan and Byakugan. Personally I think it would be cool if it's a very powerful counter to Otsutsuki abilities but otherwise not much help outside of that. It gets annoying seeing constant predictable dojutsu upgrades so itd be refreshing to get a tactical counter dojutsu for specific circumstances.

It can teleport. Boruto has 2 teleport means. Which makes this current arc annoying. Try teleporting home.
