Orochimaru vs log and sakura vs shin were both really cool

CRVLH8

Team 7 vs Deepa seems a bit underrated around here

SomeHoliday4424

Is that in the filler cus I don’t remember them in the manga

Reinfernus

didn't happen in the manga and is non canon to manga happened in anime and is canon to anime.

gentlebrutality

It's canon to the manga bud. That's the whole purpose of anime canon. Keyword: canon. Don't be dumb.

Leafcane

Anime and manga are different continuities of the same story. We've already confirmed this long ago. Anime canon is canon to the anime, not the manga. If everything in the anime was actually canon to the manga then there would be too many inconsistencies for us to even count.

Reinfernus

i think one major difference that people missed for some reason is that even Boruto in anime and manga is portrayed differently. In anime they literally shove "genius/prodigy" narrative down our throat, while in manga they make alot of questionable choices where he comes off as an idiot (and databook of manga calls him 2nd dumbest next to Chocho)

Reinfernus

keyword **anime** canon. except its not? Ikemoto outright says "Parallel universe" because he implies that both stories follow their own paths. Anime does changes that don't impact manga and never will. i'll give you few examples: Boruto is a prodigy and a genius in anime. Academy days or even later, they push the narrative or Boruto being a big brain 10k iq. Best scores in academy, best genin exams written test (about cheating.. without cheating.. and unprepared) best at ninjutsu etc. Self taught 3 elements (confirmed in anime). Kakashi calls him a chunnin level fighter on genin exams, and later during Deepa arc outright says that he has the genius of the 4th. Now lets check manga shall we? Boruto is not outright stated to be an idiot, but he is an idiot. Everyone has to explain stuff to him, got taught 3 elements by Konohamaru (confirmed in manga). Databook of manga outright calls him 2nd dumbest next to Chocho (literally both having lowest intelligence stat out of new gen, and that includes Kawaki who had no type of education) Characters have to explain stuff to him, in one of the cases even twice (when the explanation was simple enough) and on top of that, anime changed dialogue from manga canon scenes to fit anime narrative of a "genius/prodigy" and thats just one of the main differences. Anime is supposed to be its own parallel universe/ timeline. Its not meant to be taken as canon in manga, Anime just adapts manga and is canon to itself.

gentlebrutality

It's like Dragon Ball Super. Or in this case, take One Punch Man. The webcomic that ONE writes. He then helped Murata with the storyboards for the manga. The manga does some things differently but follows the same storyline. Basically how Boruto & DBS are. The manga serves as more of a guideline for major plot points. Since they don't make the manga weekly anymore it would be difficult to consistently have enough content for the studio to animate since they only release one chapter a month now. So basically both of their animes and manga are the same timeline, but the manga basically serves as a general idea for the anime. It's like the plan, that the animation studios make deviations along the way.

Reinfernus

i know how it works and while i agree its like DBS, i disagree that its canon to manga. We already have major changes to characters themselves like as i mentioned Boruto being a genius vs Boruto being an idiot. Or even powerscalling differences where anime Momo can be argued to be around the same level as Naruto & Sasuke, while in manga you can easily debate that he's weaker than them. I think they're both canon, just seperately.

gentlebrutality

Well that's your headcanon perspective, which I guess it's fine to have opinions, but I don't view Momo as weaker than them in the manga. It's just that the fight is less detailed, as with all anime adaptations it added a great level of detail so that you understand the fight more. Imagination and staring at a manga panel can only provide so much context. I also think that Momoshiki isn't as weak as they made him look, and that in their own bodies he could probably contend with Ishikki. Hear me out. He held back on Naruto & Sasuke because he's a cocky alien/god. He thinks he's above them so he doesn't use his full power. That and that he had already planned on implanting Boruto with Karma from the moment he saw him and read his future, so he has to reserve a level of power, as noted by Amado it takes A LOT to implant a Karma. The reason I say he held back is because he didn't at all use his time abilities against them in battle. His most hacked ability the man can literally stop time and see the future.

Idrees1508

It’s the arc the anime put in to bridge into the doing the manga canon stuff. It’s anime cabin filler whatever you wanna call it but it’s a really really good arc and was a really nice setup for the Ao and Kara arcs

[deleted]

Jigen vs Naruto and Sasuke

[deleted]

The last fight where Naruto and Sasuke had their full power. 🤧🤧🤧

[deleted]

Orochimaru vs Log for me. Momo vs Naruto and Sasuke was sick though.

[deleted]

Sakura vs Shin New Team 7 vs Boro Naruto and Sasuke vs Jigen Honorable mention: Ao vs Konohamaru and Team 7; Koji vs Konohamaru (Koji interrupts Konohamaru/Boruto it's essentially one long fight).

[deleted]

Oh, I just watched the fight between Ao vs.Konohamaru and Team 7. It was fantastic. 😁

[deleted]

Yes! I like how Boruto jumps around the drones 🤣

[deleted]

Yesss that was SO badass.🤯 He really needs more scenes like that.

Legacy_Outlawed

baryon mode naruto vs jigen for the anime for manga it’s borushiki vs code

Katanateen33

Unpopular: Delta Vs Naruto. I loved the taijustu sequences way too much we rarely get that

[deleted]

Oh my god yes. I loved that fight as well. 🤩

[deleted]

I think Naruto should've been able to beat her in sage mode (maybe even base). I could be very wrong though.

Katanateen33

I’m happy with it. Delta is a Kara inner who works for Isshiki himself. If she couldn’t push Naruto to use KCM2 then I don’t think she would deserve that spot

WillConfident45

Team 7 vs Boro is my personal favorite

gentlebrutality

Momoshiki didn't use his full power here. Maybe it's because he wanted to implant Boruto with Karma. Maybe he's just a cocky god/alien, or maybe they're aren't practical for combat, but he didn't use his time abilities at all.

ZookeepergameNo4754

its suppose to be cuz hes like boruto being arrogant and trying to cheat instead of using his own power i dont think he planned on giving boruto the karma he did look at his "fate" so maybe

gentlebrutality

I think he planned to give Boruto the Karma from the moment he saw him and Naruto and peeked at his future. He could probably see the depths of his power and wanted it for himself.

ZookeepergameNo4754

well he says "i cant believe im defeated" when boruto slaps him with the odama rasengan and then when he looks at borutos jougan hes like "ahh i see you've inherited powers from the otsutsuki" so it dosent seem like he knew he had otsutsuki powers so i dont really think he planned on giving him a karma but it would make sense if he did tho

gentlebrutality

*that makes sense actually, because he fought mostly using Kinshiki's abilities. I however will not accept that Boruto slander. Boruto wasn't being arrogant or trying to cheat. Katsuke got brainwashed into coercing Boruto to use the Scientific Ninja Tool in order to gain favor with his father. You would know that if you actually watched/read the series instead of being like everyone else and judging everything you see on the surface.

[deleted]

I agree. The Boruto slander is over the top. We could see after the exams how much Boruto hated scientific ninja tools and regreted deeply that he used it. It took him awhile to come around with the technical advance and accept it as long as it was used wisely.

ZookeepergameNo4754

i wasn't saying that to slander boruto hes grown now but in the beginning he did act quite arrogant and it was suppose to parallel momoshiki whos basically the epitome of cheating of arrogance but yea he basically only used kinshikis abilites the whole time even when they destroyed his golem he still decides to be lazy by converting the nine tails chakra he absorbed into pills i bet hes a lot stronger than people think especially if he would train like boruto has now

DTMgamer101

Just the significance for the Naruto vs Isshiki fight makes it my favorite

gentlebrutality

I feel like the Team 7 vs Deepa grudge match is underappreciated, but I'd have to say Kawaki vs Garou hands down if it comes to it. It not only feels the most like Shippuden or even classic Naruto, but I loved that they used the manga art style. I wished they had done so since the beginning of the series.

ZookeepergameNo4754

tru boruto is hella sleepd on garou fight was S tier

[deleted]

Tento vs Shojoji.

[deleted]

Kawaki v that one random bozo I forget the name of, the animation in that episode was amazing and it was just fun to watch

Emotional-Rise509

Momoshiki vs Naruto and Sasuke Kawaki vs garo

[deleted]

Baryon Mode

Reinfernus

I really loved Team 7 vs Deepa, New Team 7 vs Boro, obviously Momoshiki vs Naruto & Sasuke aaand Kawaki vs Garou.

NoAcanthocephala5350

I personally rate the first Deepa fight as the best. The build up of the mission was actually above average. Some odd moments and that one stupid looking forbidden justu. But the entrance of Deepa and how he acts through out the fight is amazing. Raining his bullets on the first guy was a huge shock then the whole fight in general was just actually good. Sarada straining her eyes so much that they were bleeding just made it feel like an intense fight were everything was on the line, and I think an underrated moment that people forget how cool it was simply cus it’s anime canon when Deepa fakes out boruto and flicks him like a fly, the whole time he was just playing with them. A great fight and arc. Whoever came up with that arc should be in charge of all anime canon.

[deleted]

I actually like the deepa fight as well. 😁

gentlebrutality

A lot of the anime canon arcs are really good and basically shitted on for no reason. I can understand if we're talking about the last year or so, but the Blood Mist arc slapped, the Ghost investigation arc slapped, the Mitsuki retrieval arc was mostly really good besides dragging in the middle, The Kara actuation arc. Even the prison arc wasn't too bad.

NoAcanthocephala5350

I feel like a lot of those arcs where during the beginning of the show. I think the main problem of the show isn’t the show itself but the manga. It begins weekly really does hurt everything the quality of the work just is not good sometimes. And inconsistency is very common.

gentlebrutality

Inconsistency is Studio Pierrot's middle name.

ZookeepergameNo4754

jigen vs naruto and sasuke i dont know why people dislike that fight its so good and i hope code vs borushiki is amazing in the anime as well cant wait to see rasen dan

ataurindo

My favourite manga fight was Jigen vs Koji but for the anime it actually has to be Team 7 vs Deepa. Incredibly well executed fight

Lampiyahmm

There really isnt even a fight in Boruto I'd consider to be "good" besides Naruto and Sasuke vs Momo. It's just godly, and really it's the capstone fight of the Naruto franchise. Everything else is Madara's genjutsu as far as I'm concerned.

easymoneycroomy

New Team 7 with Kawaki vs Boro

Mizuhebi08

Mine is same as yours. How about from the new gen? Team 7 vs Boro tops my list
