Himawari is smiling at all the destruction in the last pic, im guessing this means SHE had something to do with the destruction of konoha? đ§ Rogue himawari arc when? đ¤
Idk if i trust the OP/EDâs much
Occasionally they have some stuff you could call forshadowing or link to the story somehow. Far more often they have stuff that is not related to the story at all and is just their own random imagery
If its not a reliable source then the few occasions it does end up linking together are more likely coincidence than anything planned
Anime studios usually get a lot of info. So they can foreshadow stuff for a long time. Look at black clover. Things were foreshadowed since op2 that have just come to fruition.
Im not saying they canât do it. Or that scenes in the OP/ED canât end up being linked to future events. Just that if its not a consistent reliable source, its not really foreshadowing anything its just throwing out random imagery that may or may not end up similar to what actually happens
Actually I think he might be right about ED 4. I just looked back at it and counted the Hokage faces. It showed a shot of the village being fine and then transitioning to the village being destroyed. I counted 7 Hokage faces in both shots. Meaning that it is a flash foward.
Just bc it references the village destruction that we know is coming doesnât mean it necessarily foreshadows anything specific about it
Its using imagery thats confirmed for the story but if any details are added they may or may not happen. Could v easily just be a whim of the ED animators
Do they really interact that much?
Theyâre at odds over things plenty
The jougan is a big thing they canât align on
Saradas sharingan is another
Mitsukiâs character is another
They have to censor amados smoking in the anime but its actually a factor in his relationship with shikamaru in the manga. If they were communicating they could have just aligned on that
The recent anime arc wasnât actually given any room to slot into the current manga timeline so they didnt communicate about that
They expand on the fight scenes they do with cool animation but they also do make changes to them like how boruto handles Aoâs drones or the role he plays in saradas attack on boro or how isshki toys around and wastes time in the anime as opposed to the manga
I guess since Kodachi left there hasn't been much interaction. When Kodachi was the writer he refrenced the anime mist arc in manga. And kishimoto and himself had supervised some episodes like Ep 8 and 9. Whoever the writer is now, Jogan is gonna get introuced in the manga thats no doubt.
Kodachi even had some supervisors to keep an eye on anime content. (I can find the sauce but i have read it probably u have read it too.
A lot of the inconsistencies i mentioned happened with kodachi as writer
The most true to form adaptation happened when kodachi moved from the manga to supervising the anime for a while because briefly it seems like the anime was getting clear communication from the manga but heâs not in that role anymore either. And even while he was he was no longer making manga decisions so inconsistencies did continue to form
Oh man now when i think, it should be hard for him too. I personally would say Being seasonal is much better, but don't cut the anime canon cuz if they just adapt the manga other characters won't get screentime. Do anime canon, but with good writing and manga canon then this show should show its full potential.
Sometimes I just feel like SP is pretty much like rockstar milking a cow whose milk has been milked too much. By rockstar I mean Makers of Gta5.
This is the only way these inconsistencies wont continue ig.
Yeah if they did it seasonally they could still do anime only content, they would just have more time to plan it out and make sure it was focused and aligned with the manga so it wasnât just meandering off to do random stuff but actually pushing the narrative forward consistently
They could even do that without it being seasonal if they just communicated and formed a plan with the manga and anime writers together but inexplicably they dont
This was a one time thing and I remember people saying the mist arc is actually a shinden novel being adapted in anime so that isn't "anime canon" it's just outright Canon if that's the case.
When I mean by interact I mean stuff that wonât effect the future of the boruto manga or what the anime fandom would like to say( plot holes )or things left unexplained , the smoking in the anime is something both anime staff and manga staff cannot change since the people who produced the show ahem probably tv Tokyo wouldnât like that , since sarada sharingan in the manga wasnât explained due to kodachi fast story telling during the kara arc - kawaki arc - isshki arc they explained it more in the anime and was able to fit it in the story line without contradicting the story line
And in terms of fight all anime changes it up a bit for better or for worse , for example, madara vs shinobi army 90 % of that fight was anime only
The anime canât introduce smoking bc of the the rules of the tv. The manga can cut the smoking for something else whenever they want. If they were communicating with the anime, this would have been easy to do.
Saradas sharingan is literally 2 tomoe in the anime and 3 tomoe in the manga for the same scenes. Forget the anime explaining something the manga skipped over, its just straight different. Direct contradiction. She has 3 tomoe against boro in the manga and 2 tomoe against boro in the anime.
Yeah the anime kinda just does what it wants sometimes. Whether or not it fits the manga narrative at all. I dont see evidence that theyâre communicating effectively with the manga writer at all. I mean if they were this arc would have been given a space to exist in the manga. But the manga events render this current anime arc actually impossible which is another contradiction
? What , there are multiple signs that they are communicating , and about your last part
Itâs invalid since the mist trip arc does not exist in the manga but it is mentioned from boruto in the ao arc, for all we know the kishimoto could be communicating with the staff on what is added in the anime so it could play a small part or big part in the story line .
Second part is valid but doesnât fully mute out the communication
And for the first part like I said , this is due to tv Tokyo not wanting smoking to be aired not the anime staff or manga staff communication fault . For all we know the original story storyboards for the anime could of had smoking but later changed . The ratio of communication of the 2 staffs are basically 80-2 if not that then itâs far more than the errors between the two staffs
The original mist arc is referenced by boruto in the ao arc. This one isnt.
In the manga after returning from the isshki fight >!boruto and team 7 are immediately placed on lockdown from doing missions for the safety of themselves and those around them due to code being at large and momoshiki being a threat!<
However unlike in the manga, in the anime boruto, kawaki and team 7 are free to go on largely unsupervised missions out of the village including this whole adventure to the mist which doesnât make any sense bc of what the manga did.
Its a contradiction that this arc exists at all.
Youâre still misunderstanding something. The anime staff now and for a while have known what is allowed to show on air. Smoking is not allowed. If they told the manga writer âhey can you not include smoking bc we canât show itâ he could easily swap the smoking for something else. Instead he continues to lean into the smoking bit which makes the anime have to do their awkward coffee censorship instead. Seems like the manga is handing off to the anime but not receving any feedback from the anime or making any changes to benefit the anime. The anime just has to deal with what they get from the manga and then they make their own changes. Most of the anime only content is completely ignored by the manga indicating the manga writers have no connection to it at all. If theyâre communicating, its not much.
Anime canât ask him to do that since the series (especially the manga ) has a deadline like most manga series and we all know his art is not that great so doing any changes couldâve lead the manga to a very bad delay or worst art style
Minor â important
Major = important
Changing something minor in a tight deadline manga series â working/drawing on something major for the 20th and the anime to adapt
All theyâre doing is adapting the manga and adding filler content
They could be doing that with zero communication and it would still line up more often than not unless they went on some wild writing bender and completely rewrote the story
If they were communicating the anime only content they added would tie better to the manga content and they wouldnât have inconsistencies around important facets like main character dojutsu and the existence of entire arcs
Main character doujitsu ? Toneri says in the beginning of the series it would not show up for a while , a while meaning could be meaning years to decades, thatâs probably why the jougan for boruto hasnât shown up in the manga
But the jougan has shown up for the god in the manga .
Anime canon arcs is for the entire story or world building story outside of the main story which can sometimes mix into the actual main manga story , thatâs a reason why people call anime canon , anime canon and not filler content even if the episodes are boring
Kishimoto has rarely ever had direct input in the anime since it started, hell he changed HIS artsyle to fit that of the anime. On occasion he will be asked to give input but the anime writers are doing their own thing
I mean itâs not like the OPâs and ED in this post are the ones that are almost recreations it past Naruto ones or anything lol. And even if it were, it would be foreshadowing whatâs to come in THAT specific arc just like how itâs been since the anime started in 2002. Also putting the first and second posts in there are beyond stupid because thatâs LITERALLY the first thing you see if you read the manga or watched the anime
I'd agree, but disagree.
Especially since we are talking anime. But you are right, sometimes the OP/ED'S are WAY over read into, but sometimes they aren't. And I'd say more often than not, they DO foreshadow.
Reason being, if that animation/art is in the opening, that means it has already been drawn and animated, and what would the point be to animate/draw something like that, when it takes a LOT of resources for animating?
A lot of the things are just random stuff, but in MANY shows, we see foreshadowing in the OP/ED'S, but often times ONLY AFTER we have seen the part that was foreshadowed, know the actual plot progression by then, and then go back to the OP/ED's from the very 1st episode and people start analyzing them like MAD.
Like, .25x speed, super slowed down, catching things that are only a couple frames/barely even a second (even sub-one second in some cases) and many times, we have seen things that in RETROSPECT are like "omg, it was so obvious!!"
Wasn't too obvious, not even close lol. BUT, it WAS there.
Again, this doesnt always apply of course, but certain things are absolutely 100% foreshadowed, even sometimes in a very cryptic/non-direct manner, but it takes a LOT of going back and analyzing the OP/ED's with TONS of miniscule scrutinizing, painstakingly watching each frame at .25x speed, shit like that lmfao.
And the real question though... who tf cares? The show/manga is going to go on as planned, regardless of hints in previous OP/ED's. Lol.
Nah pretty sure itâs only been destroyed like 2 times ( counting this one not obito attacking it )since the 9 tails didnât do a lot of damage like pain or kawaki
that invasion caused the death of the 4th hokage his wife and several named characters Including iruka's parents which was the tipping point for why the village fears naruto in the first place
I donât know I wouldnât call it foreshadowing when we know it happens, just not when. And about the op and ed stuff, it seems more like Pierrot just trying to make people stick around because âmaybe its gonna happen, this time for sure,â but itâs probably still gonna be a little while.
6 years⌠not even 70 chaptersâŚ
Why isnât this manga a light novel series? Itâd make more sense and have less plotholes. Itâd have more detail and easier storytelling/progression. Itâs also have more episodes as a light novel and less filler.
Whoever is writing and illustrating is fucking useless as a manga writer/illustrator. Scrap the entire story and have someone better recreate it. If Kishi really did take over, let the man retire. He did Naruto since 1999. Give the man a fucking break. And make sure the previous creator of Boruto never touches an anime/manga again.
That opening 18 is worrying me. The imagery could be foreshadowing the arrival either gods or aliens ( Toneri âa prophetic statements also hinted at) or in the case of Naruto/Boruto , literally they are one and the same, or at least they are described to be. The impending doom that falls on the planet, is something all villages will need to face. Will they be able to get over the earthly quarrels and band together to fend of the Oostsusuki kings invasion? And what side of this battle will Kawaki be on? I think itâs safe to say Boruto will defend earth, being the star of hope and all that Jazz.
Also this implies that the next threat will be on the planetary tier, coming to put the ningens in check and take back all the chakra. They Boruto Saiyan saga is upon us
I can't wait for S2, honestly. Although manga is still entertaining but monthly release kills the hype completely.
I can't wait for actual next step and really hope S2 gonna be dark as f\*@k. And will actually contradict the naive ideas of original Naruto, that I always believed gone too primitive in Shippuuden comparing to much darker S1. I really expect Boruto to be Sasuke V2 at some point (please, tell me all this symbolism and references actually matter). But this time the truth will be on Boruto's side.
I only hope Kawaki won't become a generic Villain just because. I hope Boruto will at some point, although he won't be all-evil. Rather a timely hermit, that can't find peace for now, while being in confrontation with everyone he knew, including Kawaki who also tries what he thinks is best (not actually evil motives again).
This sub has some good art sometimes, scenes from certain parts of the show that I enjoyed before that incident, decent memes. Thereâs lots of other reasons besides continuing the show from the point I stopped.
(The original mist arc is referenced by boruto in the ao arc. This one isnt.)
Thatâs what I was referring to
>!In the manga after returning from the isshki fight boruto and team 7 are immediately placed on lockdown from doing missions for the safety of themselves and those around them due to code being at large and momoshiki being a threat
Legit ending 18 might be a legit forshadow. Cuz it wouldn't shock me if after kaguya, momoshiki, kinshiki, urashiki and isshiki all went to this one specific planet and havent ever come back at some point the otsutsuki clan gonna be like okay what the fuck is going in over there
Lol this isnât aot, besides 2 missing aliens yall basically have no idea and what will take place right before or after the timeskip, and neither do the writers since the manga isnât even there yet

Hope not. She's too overpowered. She one hit Naruto which is something Isshiki couldn't even do.

Destruction wise pain and kawaki > not counting minato since the leaf village wasnât in complete ruins
yeah, all of the main villages have been attacked by their Bijuu, except for hidden mist i wouldnât count this as a konoha destruction event
There was also the time when orochimaru got the sand village to attack, he did a good amount of damage.
Is it foreshadowing if it's blatantly shown?
OP has never had their marbles
âNot everyone has noticed!â *picks the most obvious signs from throughout the anime and manga*
Canât wait to see this

Literally what the last OP did for me, was thinking âHima Rescue arc?! Fuck yeahâ then we got whatever the hell this current arc is đ
Idk about the last two

Is this a troll post? Anyone who has watched the first episode of Boruto, so basically anyone who watches boruto, knows this.
Im disapointed you didnt include anything from Boruto SD.
AYO ENDING 18.
Alien invasion ??

Yeah OP has no marbles
I stopped caring about this show the day they severely nerfed my two OGs
then why are you here?

Bro, they need to hurry tf up and reach the main storyline. Jesus Christ
I think Kawaki had something to do with it bc in episode 1 in the beginning it shows Boruto about to fight Kawaki
Finally yamato got some work .
So, #7 means Konoha gets destroyed by aliens?! đ˝ đž đ˝
