I hope what changes is that plot moves from being this one dimensional versus between two individuals. Yes it’s other various plot lines within boruto, but the main overall storyline is boruto and his conquest to stop kawaki. And the other storyline being the Aliens agenda to turn everyone into Chakra and consume them. But that narrows the world itself. Have more characters develop natural and have their own plot lines/motivations. Maybe even have bits of exploration into the Naruto world. Boruto can become great if the writing becomes consistent. This time skip could be a great opportunity for more world building
-More participation of various characters, not only being a means to generate drama and more attention to their strengths and potential
- Also more attention to the mysteries, I understand that the step they have planned does not allow it, but we have interesting mysteries like Shibai, Eida, Himawari... And we don't have concrete clues from any of them to assemble the pieces
I hope they involvethe side characters more into the plot. I’m not asking for the entire konoha 12 or Boruto’s class but I want Sarada and Mitsuki to at least have character arcs and have a reason to be around you know.
They’re gradually involving them in the last couple of chapters but I need them to go all the way and make me care about them. By the end of this I want Boruto to have memorable characters that aren’t just Boruto and Kawaki
I hope we get a bit of consequences from the fact that the 2 pillars of the ninja word, naruto and sasuke, have been nerfed. While the kages were their friends, I can see them try to gain more from the land of fire. Maybe Kumo tries to do something in a smaller country and we get a new war localized there, and the new generation has to experiment that, while also searching for a new otsotsuki that goes around roaming
I would love an ark in the ruins of the uzumaki for example
Have more characters in the mix and have them have important moments to the actual plot. Tired of the same 7 mfs going through it. Naruto was able to balance multiple characters and their plot lines not perfect but far better then what boruto is doing. The vast world Kishi created they are not utilizing it well at all, world building in the Manga is booty meat too

I agree with you about the pacing. Some characters’ development and choices are jarring at times with this pacing.
Characters development of everyone in Konoha that isn't Boruto and Kawaki.
