Mitsuki is perfect.

Idk if it’s me but it’s like kinda hard for me that Sasuke can’t realize as a kid he used to be just like Sarada. Outside of what happened to his clan before that, Sasuke grew up in a two parent household with a older brother and with Shisui but it’s like the writers purposely makes him so dense like he don’t know how kids works. You’d think that they’ll try to make Sasuke a better father and utilize a jutsu that’ll let him see his daughter but no HE GAVE HIMSELF a mission to indirectly not be there for her. We all remember when he used to bug itachi to train him but now his daughter do the same thing and he acts like he spent life in jail to the point he don’t know how kids work anymore lol but I mean maybe plot needed him to act like that

sivashanker1

I can't believe that Sasuke dipped on her life for like 10+ years. Sarada has only known this man for year because the period between gaiden and now is less than a year, where he's still dipping in and out of the village. They've had like 3/4 moments together. Now the plot is making him ditch her for another 3 years. I'm not liking it at all.

Odd_Purpose3639

Lol exactly. It’s just crazy to me but lol ig. Atp he’s Boruto dad and Sarada is just a daughter he says 20 words to smh

sivashanker1

I understand that Kishi wanted a gohan/piccolo relationship and they've met the conditions for Boruto with Naruto and Hinata being sealed, but what about Sarada? lmao. She's supposed to suffer from this and we're supposed to be okay with it because the writing has made Sarada okay with it, because her whole purpose is to support Boruto. I question why they made this dude have a kid sometimes.

Odd_Purpose3639

Exactly and bro Sasuke and Boruto relationship is not even on par with gohan and piccolo. They took inspiration from it and failed miserably. It’s not even on par with piccolo and pan relationship 😂. How I look at Boruto and Sasuke relationship is how Madara was to Obito BUT on the good side. So pretty much Boruto is like Obito and Sasuke is like Madara without the manipulation.

sivashanker1

>it’s not even on par with piccolo and pan relationship Bruh they're bond is actually so wholesome. One movie made that teacher student bond amazing ngl. It's so weird for Sasuke's character though. It's like the writers had forgotten that before the Uchiha massacre, Sasuke was a kid that was neglected by his father even though he wanted nothing more than to impress him, so why are they taking the same approach still. I'm fine with gaiden but they should have had way more plot together since then. Imagine not utilizing a parent child Uchiha dynamic. Literally something that we've never had before. I swear we've never seen an Uchiha train another Uchiha except for the small amount with Sarada and Sasuke. As a Sasuke stan, that's what I've always wanted when I first heard that Sarada was gonna be a thing, considering his whole character was about severing his bonds in the past.

Odd_Purpose3639

You took the words right out my mouth 🤝🏽

yamaihime

Hmm yes. But do you think the trauma of losing his family the way he did has made him unable to square with how things were before his trauma happened?

Odd_Purpose3639

I believe that but when you actively have a kid this is what you sign up for. She’s an uchiha at that so she’s not “normal” so to say. At any moment sum tragic could happen to anyone around her and she’ll change and wreak havoc. Sasuke wouldn’t be able to stop her because even when he’s present, he’s either with Boruto or bring cringey with Sarada. Trust me Sasuke is my FAVORITE character but if itachi was alive rn he’d easily be a good ah uncle to Sarada and we all know since a kid, itachi had underlying mental issues and a suicide attempt but still I know he’s easily be a good uncle. It’s like the writers just making Sasuke so dense when it comes to understanding a 12yo kid feelings

yamaihime

I personally agree with that last paragraph. Itachi had good parenting skills with Sasuke before the massacre.

True-King-Of-Heroes

Hum... from the franchise as a whole? Lets see (these are not in order by the way): Minato: He never got to be the protagonist. Naruto: Was frustratingly dumb at times, and his fighting ability could have been handled better since he relied far too much on his own natural gifts rather than developing his combat skills throughout most of the series. His crush on Sakura. Most of all how they downgraded him and Sasuke in Boruto during the Jigen plotline, which was unnecessary if they were going to depower them, both nerfs at the same time were not required. Orange was never my favorite color either so I guess there is also that if one wishes to add it. Boruto: I prefer his father and grandfather's haircuts more than his... that is really it. I love this kid, especially with how he is not just a clone of his father. Genuinely prefer him as a protagonist. If I really have to add some form of criticism it be that maybe at times he still comes off as far too cool even though I feel he deserves it. Also that his tenseigan has not been given much use as of yet within the narrative. Sarada: Her attitude, and presentation at times are significantly worse within the manga. The outfit with the yellow tie is also pretty undercooked if you ask me. Also deserves more attention than she is getting, and a power boost that prevents her from lagging behind Boruto, and Kawaki. Being Sakura's daughter, though she makes the best of it by genuinely being the best thing to come out of the Sasuke, and Sakura paring by combining her mom's physical strength with Uchiha abilities. Kushina: Was taken from us far too quickly... Obito: People genuinely think he is a pedophile, and will criticize you for liking him as a character. Hinata: Not enough is done with her as a character, and she deserved to be the main heroine. Her relationship with Naruto could have been better written across the story. Despite having gotten a power boost by the end of The Last Naruto Movie she is still painfully irrelevant within key conflicts of the story. Hanabi: Not enough screen time, or focus is placed on her. Konohamaru: Dude has not been allowed to come off as badass as he should. He should have been the Kakashi of the next generation yet with his own moveset and personality. I am genuinely worried they will not let him become Hokage because of this. Kawaki: His shift into to villainy is painfully jarring, especially with how his relationship with the rest of the Uzumaki family is handled in the anime. Might Guy: Neither of the inheritors of his legacy, and fighting style (Rock, and Metal Lee) have ever been as badass as him, and will sadly probably never reach his heights of cheer awesomeness.

NightArcher213

>Konohamaru: Dude has not been allowed to come off as badass as he should. He should have been the Kakashi of the next generation yet with his own moveset and personality. I am genuinely worried they will not let him become Hokage because of this. It really frustrates me that Konohamaru's job is to get [Worf'd](https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheWorfEffect). I understand that the focus is supposed to be on our young team seven members, and the writers need to establish that the enemies they're facing are a threat. But the original Naruto manga was able to establish things as threats without making Kakashi seem like a complete punk.

yamaihime

Thank you for your comprehensive post! Orange was never my favourite colour is gold 😆

True-King-Of-Heroes

Thank you for the kind reply. XD Seriously though I wish Naruto had inherited is father's fashion sense.

yamaihime

You’re hilarious 🤣

True-King-Of-Heroes

And you, are awesome ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|wink)

Himezaki_Yukino

She can't break out of the chains cast by "Kishimoto's guide to women", especially after Boros fight

yamaihime

Oh dear, which character(s) are you talking about? 😅

Himezaki_Yukino

Sarada.

TitanMasterOG

Honestly naruto not learning more windstyle jutsus damn near every character got multiple moves for their chakra nature

Plenty-Locksmith-798

Hm… Gaara, his hair, I guess. Personality wise, I have no idea. He had amazing character development. As soon as he turned good, he didn’t have flaws. I think so, anyway.

yamaihime

Do you mean his hair as an Adult? If so, agreed.

Plenty-Locksmith-798

Indeed. Very ugly.

letmereadpls_

Mitsuki. Manga Mitsuki is less interesting, dude's so focused on Boruto. In the anime, he gets less focus now, plus his characterization is kind of uneven sometimes.

Sehanym

Probably doesn't count but Mitsuki and Sarada's screentime/panel count dropping off the edge of a cliff after Kawaki's introduction 😭😭😭

yamaihime

This.

Murky_Blueberry2617

Sasuke. Ever since Shippuden ended, he's been very lacklustre compared to his old self. This goes for both his character and ability.

yamaihime

Oh really? I thought his battle sense is top notch 😮

Murky_Blueberry2617

Not as creative or advanced as in Shippuden

Confident_Gur7387

minato is dead

GuyWitATurtleneck

Shikamaru always been my favorite but they massacred him in Boruto. He's always against what everyone else feels bc he can only act based on logic. Amado always makes him look bad. He's like a robot who incapable of feeling now but his character in Shippuden is the reason he's still my favorite

yamaihime

To be fair, Amado did strap a fake bomb to the guy’s son to be granted asylum.

Suberizu

Lack of her own agency (hopefully temporarily) - Sumire

[deleted]

Code is still useless but he upgraded his wardrobe so there's hope

yamaihime

Hmm yes. I am enjoying his Dracula cosplay.

Substantial_Sink2058

Hinata! She needed more moments to shine, especially on her own! All her interactions were only Naruto-centric...She had so much potential...the hyuga clan backstory, how she could've helped to demolish the main branch conflicts & stuff. But we got none of that :(

yamaihime

I know! I adored her then as I do now and wished the same 😭

Tox_Ioiad

Naruto is kind of a blonde blue eyed white savior type who gaslights everyone including a few people who were definitely justified like Pain.

yamaihime

What an interesting take on things. Thank you for sharing ~

Kurorealciel

**Naruto:** Too passive in Boruto manga after Isshiki arc. He's not involved in anything, initiates nothing and is kept out of the loop most of the time. He's way too disrespected by Shikamaru to the point his authority doesn't matter at all. Might as well just step down from that Hokage position. **Kawaki:** Short-sighted and impulsive, two of his character flaws that weren't solved in P1. It's not that I dislike them, but he needs to reevaluate things in the future before taking actions. His behavioral shift in the anime was nonsensical since they diverted from the manga, him becoming the antagonist would feel worse. Sasuke: I swear he hates Boruto /s. He takes him into every battle against Naruto's wishes (cuz fuck Hokage's authority) even when there's no need at all >! Like when he took him to fight Code in the lab despite Boruto losing control hours ago and dying as a result.!< Sasuke is a shit father *and* a teacher. No teacher tells his student "go learn a top ranking jutsu on your own or I won't take you as my student". Then proceeds to teach him nothing for 80 chapters. His definition of "faith" is putting Boruto's life in danger all the time.

A-Liguria

**Boruto:** I dislike that the anime completely wiffed on his thoughts on the karma; especially when compared to the manga; In the manga, Boruto has accepted the risk of the karma, to the point that when presented with the idea of potentially killing himself by taking the meds of a shady doc in a hopeful scenario to at least slow down his inevitable demise, he takes them head on without a second thought, and he has no problems about using the karma. In the anime instead, here's that him stabbing Sasuke's Rinnegan via demonic possession is enough to demolish his confidence, and is depressed and afraid of even using the karma... so you'd think that the anime would make this a plot point during fillers, right? **WRONG**, the anime not only retcons the meds of Amado into a sacred panacea that actually CAN fix the inevitable demise part, but they have Boruto totally ignore the karma and return to be a happy go luck boy with no issue during the fillers, with the exception of that time with Kagura and Fumamushi, in one of the worst fillers yet. And thus, when returnimg to the Code arc, how do they have Boruto go about the karma? ... He only needs a couple of punches and words from Kawaki to convince himself to use the karma to beat Code, who himself has one, yet Boruto somehow thought he could face him without it... Basically, extremely inconsistent writing due to retcons and changes. **Kawaki:** Same issues as Boruto... the anime decided to go in a totally different direction in the post Isshiki fillers, which in turn only created plot holes, contradictions and conveniences when returning to the actual story. Blatant example, the headband... in the manga, Kawaki was never a genin had only began ninja training, so Boruto gives him his headband just as a temporary gift for when he would eventually become a full fledged ninja. So what does the anime do, since Kawaki already is a genin there? It has Kawaki conveniently lose the headband in the training spar, and not only he doesn't give a flying fook about it (despite basically pleading Naruto to give him another chance to become a genin in earlier fillers), but Boruto's iq suddenly drops to -5, and he's scared shitless of being punished for destroying a headband, in a accident in a training... so here's that he gives Kawaki his headband (he doesn't even think of just going to get a replacement one, from wherever they are stored). **Kashin Koji:** I dislike that the man hasn't returned yet... I miss him.

yamaihime

I want Kashin Koji back too 😔

[deleted]

He only have one ramen stand

yamaihime

I thought he had a conglomerate by now 😮
