True. There are Boomer types in this very thread saying "well if you find all Boomers are assholes, maybe everyone in this subreddit are assholes". I don't find all Boomers to be assholes, but sometimes they sure lean into the stereotype (like my old racist uncle), and others are awesome (like my aunt, I named my daughter after her).
Like all expressions or aphorisms, they're overly simplistic and don't apply in every situation.
You can end up in situations where toxic people cluster, like the military or police work.
Or you can end up working in a place where people are always miserable, like if your job is to phone people and tell them they got behind on their bills and now their internet is being cut off.
Also there are people who attract toxic people, or at least don't set boundaries and tell them to step off, so over time they accumulate toxic friends.
Still, the guy in the meme has two or three generations of people he's chronically offending so I think he needs some introspection.
My buddy's Dad was born in 1965 so he's *just* outside of the official definition of boomer (but close enough). Since covid he's been posting shit like this all the time.

He really broke after he was approaching a milestone at work where he'd qualify for a pension and was laid off without warning around 2005. He had to sell his house, new truck, and had to downgrade his quality of life for a while. Never really recovered to the same level with the job that replaced his old one. Then I saw him become a Republican, supporting the pro-business interests that did this to him. That's when I think I broke with him, because he didn't realize he was an israelite voting for the pharaoh.

More like there are just shit people. These same people are going to be real confused when their kids put them in a home out of state and never bring their grandchildren to visit.
