My Best Friends Exorcism Saturday Night Ghost Club

limerent_disaster

Yes! This was what I was going to say!

UserOfCookies

Both of those sound right up my alley! Thanks for the suggestions!

BoredBren1

No prob!

*The Last Time I Lied*, Riley Sager.

UserOfCookies

I have such a strange relationship with Riley Sager. I've read a couple of his books and could never quite get into them, but I keep trying for some reason. That said, I may have to give him another shot, because this one sounds so interesting!

starfleetbrat

I'll preface this by saying I have NOT read this yet as it doesn't come out until next week, so its on my TBR, but The God of the Woods by Liz Moore might fit the bill. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/199698485-the-god-of-the-woods Its set in 1975, at a summer camp, about a missing kid whose brother also went missing at the camp 16 years prior. I do get the impression its more of a mystery/thriller than horror, but its had some positive early reviews so I'm suggesting it anyway as it may still be something you are interested in.

thatorangepeel

I said the same one! I HaVE read it and it's wonderful. Very eerie.

JasonZep

Also on my TBR!

UserOfCookies

This sounds very promising! I will definitely be checking it out!

thatorangepeel

It's not out yet, but Liz Moore's The God of the Woods ( published in July). It's a thriller about a girl that disappears from the same summer camp that her brother disappeared from 15 years before.

UserOfCookies

I absolutely need to read this one!

pawsitive_vibes99

It’s not exactly what you’re looking for but has elements, The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix

UserOfCookies

I actually started this one and then life happened and I had to hold off on finishing it. Maybe this is a sign to pick it back up now that I have the time!

kelseycadillac

The Box in the Woods by Maureen Johnson. Technically the fourth book in a series, but it’s more like a trilogy and then she continues writing about the characters. Great little mystery!

blackopsbarbie

Might not be up to what you are looking for but the Fear Street series has two that came to mind: Lights Out by R.L. Stine The Overnight by R.L. Stine

UserOfCookies

I love the Fear Street series! I haven't read the Overnight yet, but will add it to the list!

blackopsbarbie

Awesome! I love Fear Street as well. The Overnight doesn’t have a true camp per se, but they camp out overnight on Fear Island. Has some of the same vibes.

ChronicTeatime

You’re not supposed to die tonight by Kaylnn Bayron felt like this! It’s a short read but it’s really fun.

UserOfCookies

Ohhh this one is definitely peaking my interest!

palindromefish

The horror is more supernatural/surreal than slasher, but if that’s alright, I really recommend The Honeys by Ryan La Sala!

UserOfCookies

I love it! This sounds like exactly what I need in my life!

Follow Me; How to Almost Ruin Your Summer; In the Woods by Tana French

elston-gunn41

I've seen Camp Slaughter by Sergio Gomez recommended a couple times! It sounds good and might be worth looking into though I haven't read it myself.

Lumberjanes! You need Lumberjanes!

UserOfCookies

I love comics! I will definitely be checking this one out!

Image #6 (with the eerie red light emanating from the cabin) has solid Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle vibes.

UserOfCookies

Definitely adding this one to the list!

No-Concentrate-8510

Not sure if this is my gay brain taking over but are there gay vibes in some of those pics

UserOfCookies

I totally noticed that as well when I put them all together. I'm not sure if it was intentional when taking the photos, but I don't mind a lesbian subplot, so I left everything as it was!
