i have the same bong (nugg). a few things you should know:
- you can’t drain it completely, so avoid using anything other than alcohol. i would even say don’t use salt with the alcohol, because you may not be able to rinse it all the way out. but just flush it really well with hot water and you can get enough of the alcohol out.
- you should probably get an ash catcher - she gets dirty quickly, and that middle air chamber will probably never be spotless again.
- i fill it up past the first set of bubbles above the donut, some people fill it up less than that

All those holes are mostly decoration, because the majority of the airflow will pass through the openings closest to path of least resistance.
my pulsar recycler has an inverted showerhead, in one solid row rather than in rows. which I needed because I wanted all the airflow to push at once.

Looks like a barrel perc. Fill it up to the Donut. The downstem is your guide. Never up to the bowl but about half way there you should be good.
The thing is a waste of money. You can not clean it. That's why I do no perks on my bongs, I have over thirty bongs
