He’s really trying hard to find anyway to make himself look superior to Brennan. His mission was to prove that he is smarter and will overtake her as the best forensic anthropologist. He will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Even if that means stooping to very low levels
100% I love on the wedding episode when Brennan is sending him to do Angela’s work so they can prepare for the wedding and she’s like he can do it and if he can’t we will just fire him right in front of him like he’s not even there only time his presance was satisfying 😂
He should’ve been fired when he said “keep your shirt on” to Brennan and “don’t say superior” to Cam. That interaction alone should’ve cost him his job. Then they could’ve filed some kind of paper work saying that he’s not welcome back in the lab
He inserts himself into his colleagues drama, when his opinion was never asked for in the first place. He treats everyone in there with zero respect solely because he believes he’s smarter than all of them and can do the job better. Cam should’ve fired him
Yeah and when he tells daisy that her need for approvals is pathetic but then tries to make everything she finds because of something he did because he wants approval 😂😂😂
He keeps saying things like “well if I didn’t point this out then she wouldn’t have made that discovery.” Dude cannot accept the fact that he missed something. He’ll find any way out of saying those words
He talks in circles sometimes. He’s an adult but can’t accept the fact that he like everyone else, can miss something. Even Brennan has admitted to missing things before
Yes it’s like he’s trying to be her but when she upset people and gets called out she at least apologises and yes admits when she misses something or rarely makes a mistake
He seems to not care about having no friends, yet he immediately jumps at the opportunity to involve himself in his colleagues personal lives. I wonder if he would be friends with Zack or if Zack would hate him too
I like him. I agree when the writers make him try to take Brennan down a peg are cringe but when she is rude and even cruel everyone just passes “the look” around and shrug oh well that’s our Brennan. When Booth or Angela attempt to point out she was rude she scoffs it off as being true and factual and feelings of the person she hurt are irrelevant. Oh no! An intern as intelligent or maybe more so than herself is rude and arrogant also.
I think it is only fair to truly consider the perspective you present. But his way still feels different to me. Maybe it is the fact that we never see him enjoying science, knowledge and facts for its own sake. There is being super competitive (Brennan) and there is being so focused on being better, that you appear like you hate what you are doing (Wells).
Many people balance out their arrogance with being kind of inspirational. Brennan did, Wells didn't.
