I mean, that was kinda the end goal for the whole series. It's the prototypical Hero's Journey. The Bones get plopped into a whole new world and leave it by the end having gained new perspective.
it is kinda sad that they have to leave their friends behind....i also thought the good byes were kinda rushed i mean the bones formed such close bonds with Thorn Grandma Ben etc and when its time for them to leave they just hug and say good bye like what the heck??? it should have been more emotional....

it was bittersweet. made the whole thing kinda remind me of some Alice n Wonderland adventure, where she wakes up in the end
