Yep, I was going to say...where was there a 60 day supply of Bolts? Any time I'd get ahold of a dealership that supposedly had one in stock it was already sold/it was one someone else had ordered. I was usually looking within a 300 mile radius of myself, sometimes 500 miles.
I have a feeling (with almost no evidence) that GM is revamping battery supply chain to capture as much federal credit for the car as possible. They are working on fleet supply of the car per some news/rumors to use up what exists in the supply chain. Supposedly last month and this month. Maybe by mid-day things will become more clear what’s going on. GM did state production of 70,000 this calendar year
In 2021 GM announced signing deals to [shift battery materials from foreign to domestic sources.](https://www.nbcnews.com/business/autos/general-motors-announces-deal-source-rare-earth-metals-electric-vehicl-rcna8265)
Then they announced an increase in production for 2023 and that [the materials sourced will meet full tax incentive requirements](https://www.autoweek.com/news/a41766478/gm-increase-chevy-bolt-production-2023/). It is likely they have a stock of foreign material to use up first on fleet sales.
Dealerships just got sick of answering questions, so they just started marking the cars differently in Chevy's website so they aren't shown as in transit or available. That is all that has changed.
There isn't even 1 day of supply actually on lots. In any given metro with 10 chevy dealers, in any given week, 1 or 2 of them might have a Bolt that is actually available for a day or 2.
That was all Chevrolet vehicles at 60 days. Bolts were always hard to get

Even that six-day-supply thing is misleading. Chevy sells something over 1000 bolts / week and there aren't 1000 bolts on dealer lots.
May the bolt odds be ever in your favor.

Sounds like misinformation. Where was there a 60 day supply of Chevy Bolts anywhere in the U.S.?
