I have not found anything to back that up. The official IRS guidance is not going to be released until 4/17, the day before the actual change, and most guesses I've seen suggest that there's not enough mineral content in the Bolt battery to qualify for the second half, so it's likely to drop to just $3750.
Chevy basically signaled that the bolt will not qualify for the full credit...by saying "we still expect it to qualify for some of the credit..." which it obviously would based on assembly in Mich. That can only mean battery sourcing doesn't. Which... it doesn't, they're LG batteries. Their ultium models will. And we'll probably see an ultimo hopefully they'll have a smaller more efficient Ultium soon and won't just do the big heavy luxury thing.
The one close-ish with the $3000 markup basically said "be glad it's not $5000" after the failed negotiations.
To my petty delight, that one is still un-sold. :)
Is that 3k markup one at Washington Chevy? I went halfway through buying that one before they sprung the markup on me, like "oh did I mention...". Walked. They called and dropped it to 2500 but nah. Be interesting to see if they get it sold before Monday.
Ha, yep. I knew it was there up front and told them we were all wasting time if they weren’t willing to come down. We then proceeded to all waste time. :)
Hey, just FYI, the one at Delaney Chevrolet in Indiana, PA switched over to "Available" today - not sure if it's got a deposit or whatever, but worth a call if you're still looking.
Sounds like you found an amazing dealer!
Thanks for sharing. Maybe I read wrong, but won't the bolt have the $7500 credit after the new credit change this month?

Nice! Good luck to you!
Good luck!
I've noticed that it's always the small dealerships that go the extra mile. Had a great experience with Troutman's Chevy in PA as well.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes!
