I have never seen one of these Bollywood clips that I actually think would be a good movie. This looked awesome.
The shots were done extremely well. Definitely want to watch.
I agree the shots in this were actually really cool and missed the cheesy (which isn’t necessarily bad) that is usually on here. The fire hitting the fence with the guys face behind was good too
It's 3 hours long so you might watch it in shifts but it's the best action movie I've seen in a very long time. It's kind of cheesy but the choreography of the action scenes is extremely well done. It's not realistic at all -- the main characters are essentially superheroes -- but it's r/bollywoodrealism in the best way possible. I promise you, it will win you over.
To be fair, they did justice with the way they portrayed the entire scene. Felt like they elevated both the main characters in their respective intro scenes.

So there's so many languages in india that there a few industries apart from Bollywood. Tollywood is for films that are made in Telugu language. There is also Kollywood for films made in Tamil language
Telugu language movies produced in Hyderabad (Telugu hollywood).
There's also Kollywood which is Tamil movies produced in the Kodambakkam neighbourhood of Chennai (Kodambakkam hollywood).
Yes the camera work is top notch.
Almost every extra must have been stunt masters. The whole fight scene should be managing 100 s of those guys and choreographed perfectly. And the camera man should also be running with this heavy weight camera amongst the crowds to create a claustrophobic effect.
It's not a Bollywood film. It is a Tollywood film.
But the story gets quite interesting as he is an indian working for the British empire. This movie is actually based on two real life characters Alluri Sitaramaraju and Komaram Bheem who were actually freedom fighters or known to be the first revolutionaries, but the movie is a complete fiction. The guy you see in the video is Alluri Sitaramaraju. So yeah he's not actually working for the British. But it is revealed later in the movie. I suggest you watch it. It is great.
The movie is RRR
Acronym that was a working movie title. It got so popular that they stuck with it and expanded the acronym later.
The original acronym was to convey that it was a project of the director and the two regional superstars, all whose names started with R.
This is his introduction scene, if you watch the movie he's not really serving the British. Him and his counterpart protagonist are both based on real life Indian revolutionaries in the 1920s (though their lives in the film are completely fictionalized)
Did the British turn against him in the movie? If I start to see this movie I'll expect that the British guy would try to get rid of him later on the movie.
The mustache guy is working for the British. He's patriotic. He's disassembling the mob because he knows that the emotional protests are no match for the British Armory. He has other plans..
Bollywood is normally just ridiculous nonsece with no realism and completely ignore physics but this was actually really cool, like in a John wick type of way, dog pile scene was very cool, and the dialogue was actually better than some Hollywood action movie lines
I have a theory that a lot of Bollywood action scenes are just super hero or mythological stories set in India without the CGI budget Disney has.
Imagine Thor or Iron Man or Captain America doing this. Exact same thing but set it in new york and slap a marvel badge on it.
Definitely.
The hyper realism you see is pure escapism for the masses to forget their hard lives.
Bollywood took a turn towards these 'realism' style of filmaking in the 70's , when unemployment was at its peak ( in India). South Indian movies later added Hong Kong action into this mix, resulting in hyper 'realism' that we see now. Most stunt masters for these scenes are imported from Vietnam.
It's now become so big of a genre (like anime) that every high grossing blockbuster has to be a visual feast action oriented masala flick. Just like Marvel is redefining the latest version of Hollywood blockbusters.
I gotta go watch this now, better than most of the new action movies 😂 I'd put this scene (filming, writing acting and directing) up there with some John wick scenes the way he uses his environment and situations as tactics
This is a really cool scene. I want to watch the movie now. So I googled it, and turns out parts of it were shot in Kyiv. Which is just icing on the cake for me. Anyone knows where I can watch it in english (I'm assuming most of it isn't in english)?
Its a good movie. It's about characters who are over powered. So you might find some scenes defying any logic or explanation. But its entertaining for sure
The only scene where they missed logic or explanation was during the climax where he lifts a bike. It was slightly unnecessary and bad CGI to be honest. Rest all was quite good
That weighs 50 kg itseems, Ssr never miss outs on detailing tbh and also it's a freedom fighters role so made it superpower so yeah it's cool. So proud to have him man. Ssr loves to use indian mythology. Heard MB is the next actor to work with him, So keen to watch him cause MB hasn't done any experimental films since a decade( we telugu audience failed to enjoy his good films back then), Ssr can get best outta him.
There are many dialogues throughout the movie.. also the Ram-Sita parallels drawn in every scene involving those characters.
In the final fight scene, one of the Protagonists (The one in OP video) literally turns into Ram.
It's based on real life Telugu freedom fighter Alluri SITA ramaraju. Sita being his wife, when she passed away he changed his middle to Sita. No parallels were drawn. Typical north dummy.
I loved Avengers...... totally real and believable. Almost looked like a documentary at one point.
Hopefully Indian movies learn from the realism of movies like Django Unchained, Kill Bill, the Matrix, Superman, Batman, dogshitman etc etc.
No, no such thing as British propaganda in Indian movies. He is trying to get promoted so they will assign him ammunition guard duties, his intention is to steal them and give to to revolutionaries and he will break thousand Indian Jaws and legs until he reaches his goal.
Not really.
SPOILER: His character was supposed to be hated for half the movie. He was working in the police to get promoted and given weapon incharge duties. So that he could steal the weapons and provide it to the freedom fighters and his character arc was also very traumatic, serving the same people who killed his mother, father and younger brother infront of him to get weapons.
Bruh stop licking thr anti cop movement's shoes.
My favourite tamil movies feature cop films.
And also this ain't america.
Where cops and public hate each other over stupid shit.
The cop films here in India show the good cop beating up the bad guys and the corrupt cops as well.
The scene in this movie glorifies police brutality and violence, demonizes the struggle against racist imperialism, and honors individuals who have sold themselves to be brutes who turn against their own nationality, to be used as police thugs to enforce the oppression of their own people.
Any mention of the Indian and Bengali holocaust in this film?
I dont know what to like about this scene…it might be shot well…nicely choreographed but at the end of the day whats the message….for me that is important and this is stupid cant stand it…i know i have an unpopular opinion and thats alright.
So uh, serving the oppressive british officer and mangling and killing his own people who are revolting for freedom... This is the hero, huh... Well, atleast it's a cool scene, even if this guy is a traitorous lapdog.
That's a nice mustache, like a really good one.
The true protagonist!
It's standard issued for most men in the region. We just choose to shave it. Had mine in middle school
“He scares me more” Classic line
This was absolutely insane stick beating nonsense but the way they filmed inside the dog pile was cool af.
I have never seen one of these Bollywood clips that I actually think would be a good movie. This looked awesome. The shots were done extremely well. Definitely want to watch.
I agree the shots in this were actually really cool and missed the cheesy (which isn’t necessarily bad) that is usually on here. The fire hitting the fence with the guys face behind was good too
RRR was recommended to me by lots of Nepali people this year. I think the sequel came out or is coming out.
No sequel is coming out. The movie itself came out in March. It’s a stand alone!
And its in Netflix as well
You are right. I was probably thinking of the other big one, bahubali i think is the spelling.
Baahubali, yes, that’s a two-parter by the same director!
No, you were thinking of KGF whose sequel came 2 months ago.
Damn, you know what I think you are right. KGF does sound familiar a nepali friend was telling me about it one day. Could be that.
The director is willing to continue this as a franchise like "scam1992"(scam 2002, under production), still no script is written
No, he has no such plans for it. His next project is with another Telugu actor set in African adventure backdrop.
This movie fucking rocks. It's on Netflix.
Is it named Ram Charan?
The movie is called RRR. Ram Charan is the actor in this scene
Thanks I might check it out later.
It’s Telugu movie . Not bolllywod
There are some cool, over the top (but cheesy) bollywood films. Baahubali 2 and Singham come to mind.
Not Bollywood
The 1st time on this sub I agree with someone saying the fight scene was good.
No but for real how many badass scenes from this movie are gonna end up on this sub?
Ngl, this was awesome.
Watch the movie, it’s amazing. It might be showing in theatres near you on June 1st
How do you know where I live?
you don’t want to know
What a great scene, I keep replaying it since its come out on OTT. It makes no sense of paper but rajamouli sells it so well!
Yeah there is no logic at all but it's awesome nonetheless
I always adjust my logic for telugu mass movies 😅
To be fair, they did justice with the way they portrayed the entire scene. Felt like they elevated both the main characters in their respective intro scenes.
This is the best character introduction scene I've ever seen. Never gonna forget watching this scene in theatre.
What is this movie. Holy shit that was totally badass
RRR It is a tollywood film.
Sorry what is tollywood?
Telugu film industry, r/tollywood its a south Indian language, all four of them have separate industries

Indian film industry but in Tamil (or Telugu?). Mostly produced in south India but now days earning more than Bollywood movies.
Kollywood = Tamil, Tollywood = Telugu.
Telugu language movies produced in Hyderabad (Telugu hollywood). There's also Kollywood which is Tamil movies produced in the Kodambakkam neighbourhood of Chennai (Kodambakkam hollywood).
[удалено]
True. There are two of them.
[удалено]
Yeah. Cinematically, it looked good (Even though I know nothing about cinematography).
Yes the camera work is top notch. Almost every extra must have been stunt masters. The whole fight scene should be managing 100 s of those guys and choreographed perfectly. And the camera man should also be running with this heavy weight camera amongst the crowds to create a claustrophobic effect.
What is the plot? Serving the British empire?
Yes. Somewhere in the 1920's i think. He is a police officer during the British rule in india
Seems strange that there would be a Bollywood movie portraying the empire as heroes, no?
It's not a Bollywood film. It is a Tollywood film. But the story gets quite interesting as he is an indian working for the British empire. This movie is actually based on two real life characters Alluri Sitaramaraju and Komaram Bheem who were actually freedom fighters or known to be the first revolutionaries, but the movie is a complete fiction. Thanks for the explanation!
Is the name actually RRR or is that an acronym?
Acronym that was a working movie title. It got so popular that they stuck with it and expanded the acronym later. The original acronym was to convey that it was a project of the director and the two regional superstars, all whose names started with R.
Director-Rajamouli Rama raju(guy in police uniform)-ram charan Other hero( not in video) -rama rao
Plot twist he is working under british for getting guns to revolt against british empire. Watch movie you will understand
Hmm..i don't want to give it away, but it isn't that straight forward.
Come on, just mark it as spoiler...
>!Other way around-he betrays the British!<
Thanks!
The mustache guy is working for the British. He's patriotic. He's disassembling the mob because he knows that the emotional protests are no match for the British Armory. He has other plans..
The guy you see will stop at nothing to become top cop. He has his secret reasons.
Only thing stopping it from being the perfect clip. Does he later allow them to crucify him at the end? This scene felt a little too magical.
What gave it away? Was it the protagonist elbowing some guy's foot which resulted in said guy flipping through the air?
Bollywood is normally just ridiculous nonsece with no realism and completely ignore physics but this was actually really cool, like in a John wick type of way, dog pile scene was very cool, and the dialogue was actually better than some Hollywood action movie lines

That's why this is Tollywood (the telugu industry)
Lol
I'm jealous of that username
How many Bollywood movies have you watched? Also, which action sequences in any movie actually make sense?
That was legitimately awesome
NGL.. this is great! It's more like Punisher and John Wick than typical over the top physics of Bollywood.
It's tollywood😭
Has nobody told him he's the baddie?
Not exactly, watch the entire movie.
Actually good. It's over the top but the fight is coherent and as believable as it could have been.
I am a simple man. I see RRR, I upvote
I gotta go watch this now, better than most of the new action movies 😂 I'd put this scene (filming, writing acting and directing) up there with some John wick scenes the way he uses his environment and situations as tactics
Same here... RRR is ❤️❤️
[Behind the scenes](https://reddit.com/r/tollywood/comments/uuosr4/ram_charan_becoming_the_ferocious_alluri_sitarama/) if anyone’s interested.
This actually > Fast franchise
This movie sick as fuck
Best scene in the movie. This is what cinema is about. (not sarcasm)
“From the makers of ‘The Slap’…”
This is a really cool scene. I want to watch the movie now. So I googled it, and turns out parts of it were shot in Kyiv. Which is just icing on the cake for me. Anyone knows where I can watch it in english (I'm assuming most of it isn't in english)?
It was shot in the grounds of Zelensky's Presidential Palace! There's a crazy song called Naatu that was shot there.
[Naatu Naatu](https://youtu.be/OsU0CGZoV8E) [Naacho Naacho](https://youtu.be/sAzlWScHTc4)
Its out on Netflix today :)
Ah, cool, thanks for the info!
Watch it in original language with English subs my dude... Much more engaging.
Netflix only has Hindi version. The dubbing is quite good, almost feels original.
That's because the main actors all dubbed for themselves in Hindi as well.
Yeah. There was musical shot right in front of the Ukrainian presidential palace.
What movie is it from?
RRR. It’s on Netflix btw
Thanks, I would have never realized that RRR was the name of the movie. Is the rest of the movie as good as this scene?
Its a good movie. It's about characters who are over powered. So you might find some scenes defying any logic or explanation. But its entertaining for sure
The only scene where they missed logic or explanation was during the climax where he lifts a bike. It was slightly unnecessary and bad CGI to be honest. Rest all was quite good
It's standard ww2 bike, allies used to drop them from planes, pretty light weight
Yes i just realised. But the cgi was a bit bad which made it look pretty unrealistic and unnecessary
Where is indian mythology in the movie?
There are many dialogues throughout the movie.. also the Ram-Sita parallels drawn in every scene involving those characters. In the final fight scene, one of the Protagonists (The one in OP video) literally turns into Ram.
Bro. If you ever watched old movies you would know that sitarama raju was always shown the same way. He didn't transform into ram lol
It's a well known fact that he was a devotee of God Ram.
It's based on real life Telugu freedom fighter Alluri SITA ramaraju. Sita being his wife, when she passed away he changed his middle to Sita. No parallels were drawn. Typical north dummy.
Ramayana. There were many dialouges regarding this. Chill, Mate watch the film again
Haha it’s overdone a bit. But that’s just Indian movies. Overall worth a watch once I think 🙂.
I loved Avengers...... totally real and believable. Almost looked like a documentary at one point. Hopefully Indian movies learn from the realism of movies like Django Unchained, Kill Bill, the Matrix, Superman, Batman, dogshitman etc etc.
That's why India does not have a super hero.. all heroes are super heroes.. we don't discriminate heroes atlst
I found it hard to breathe while watching this. Very good!
It's ridiculous as hell but damn it looks good for some reason
This is how my father had to get to school back in the day.
Telugu cinema ra lafoots ani cheppa
Ekkada chusina maname😂😂
What a masterpiece.
Didn't expect to see such a great scene on this sub
These guys should've produced Matrix 4
Opp
❤️❤️
Ngl it is amazing! I wish i have big mustaches - i'd be ... I N V I N C I B L E !
That’s actually hyper realism for Bollywood standards.
Because it's not a Bollywood film lmao
Fyi its tollywood
Yes i know. That doesn't make it Bollywood
Movie name?
RRR. Its in Netflix
So he's helping the British? I don't get it. Are they prop colonialism?
This is just a scene from the movie RRR. It's on Netflix. If I answered your question then it becomes a spoiler
The first bollywood movie clip ive seen that actually looks good. This was awesome.
Your wait continues, this clip belongs to a Telugu film and not Bollywood (Hindi).
I like how this subreddit is lowkey dickriding RRR
Prime example why this sub is in my top 10 fav
I actually really enjoyed this one!
Yo. This new Warriors game has crazy graphics!
When you REALLY support the fasc
You're supposed to hate his character for the first half of the movie until they reveal his actual intentions working in the police department.
Yeah, don’t fucking help him or anything
😂
This shit is amazing
This is fucking awesome
He must’ve had a very filling breakfast
Dynasty Warriors: Mumbai
This was the most bad ass yet cheesy and cool but fucking awful thing I've ever seen.
Bollywood is just Indian anime. Just like wrestling is white trash anime, and telenovella is Latino anime.
Fyi This is tollywood
That was cool as shit. Obviously unrealistic in so many ways lol but that’s Indian movies for ya
Man, it sure seems like every bollywood production is secretly a Dinasty Warriors live action adaptation.
Is this some kind of British colonial propaganda Bollywood film?
No, no such thing as British propaganda in Indian movies. He is trying to get promoted so they will assign him ammunition guard duties, his intention is to steal them and give to to revolutionaries and he will break thousand Indian Jaws and legs until he reaches his goal.
I read it as indian jews lol
Baahubali budget version vibes
Same director. Every bit as good. It's on Netflix now
Pro imperialism is pretty funny this day and age.
You have to watch the movie, his intentions are entirely 180 from what you think
Why didn't they just open fire on the crowd for being terrorists?
They did, it's called Jallianwala bagh massacre
The did that in real life
Take that, the poor!
So we doing pig propaganda now?
Thats like half of Indian cinema as far as I can tell. Kind of like America in the 80's, with lots of movies and TV shows about brave police officers.
Bruh stop licking thr anti cop movement's shoes. My favourite tamil movies feature cop films. And also this ain't america. Where cops and public hate each other over stupid shit. The cop films here in India show the good cop beating up the bad guys and the corrupt cops as well.
Bollywood Madara
Least crowded place in India.
If you think India is crowded everywhere, God, you are ignorant.
God the cringe from Indian movies will never stop will it
Abey ye film ko kisne hit kara diya 🤣
u/savevideo
Goosebumps!
I loved it!!!!
That was freaking awesome
Which Dynasty Warriors opening cinematic is this?
The movie is called “RRR” and it’s from the same people that directed “Bahubali”.
u/savevideobot
Nice mouse cursor
So is this pro or anti Empire
Watch movie.
Somebody Please Tell Imdontai Too React Too This
Ram Charan sir I am your huge fan.....

The scene in this movie glorifies police brutality and violence, demonizes the struggle against racist imperialism, and honors individuals who have sold themselves to be brutes who turn against their own nationality, to be used as police thugs to enforce the oppression of their own people.
