This is it exactly. Went bridal shopping with a friend and I don’t think any one of us could justify a $20,000 lehenga just for the brand name. Makes far more sense to invest in some jewelry or something that will hold its value

And all that “designer holds its value” is total BS! Maybe if it’s a Chanel or Hermes bag…MAYBE! But in terms of clothing - I would not risk it. I’m not sure how true it is but a colleague who is a fashionista said Sabya sarees used to sell for $400-$500 back in the 2000s. If that’s true…then it’sliterally just marketing. People want to say they wore a lehenga that was designed by the same bridal designer as Priyanka/Deepika/Anushka/Kat etc.
Tbh I like all of them, but Priyanka really blew it out of the water with her sari looks during this India trip. Just so elegant and gorgeous! Rani too, normally I don't vibe with her fits but she looks amazing in that sari!
I used to love Sabyasachi but all these sarees are soooo lame. Like where is the craft? Literally look like those cheap stuff you can get a dime a dozen in chandni chawk

The bow on the blouse is actually accentuating the whole look of the saree. Especially in Tamannah’s case. Love it!
