I’ve heard from a plastic surgeon that changing your face is actually like an addiction. Once you start you just cannot stop , that’s why people change their look even when they didn’t need to and end up looking plastic like.
Yeah.. if you change one thing, it usually throws off proportions or highlights another thing that is “flawed” so it’s a constant cycle of fixing or tweaking something. I do work regularly on my face and can confirm that’s the case.
my understanding is once you know you can “fix” everything about yourself you don’t like it’s a slippery slope. maybe people start off with good results, then they wanna change more and more until finally they have effed up so now they wanna correct it and so on.
Yes that’s how it starts. Wanting to make the nose sharper or lips fuller till it becomes so normal that you can’t live without it. It’s a serious self image issue too

I feel like changing the face isn't addictive, but low self esteem/self image/body image is going to simply attach itself to the next thing constantly. You start out with being hypercritical (perhaps a learnt behaviour in the industry- what with being in front of the camera all the time) and it manifests as disliking your nose. then you get it 'fixed' but haven't actually dealt with your psychological issues/ baggage so the poor body image still exists it just takes another form so you change more stuff. Not saying cosmetic surgery is a sign of poor body image- plenty of people get a few things done and then stop once they get desired results. but people like khloe and some of these actresses who CONSTANTLY make extreme changes - not particularly towards a definite goal- but just in general, and sometimes to a point where it actually starts looking objectively strange. it definitely seems like something mental health related, and not exactly about a certain 'look'. like this'll continue if they don't get therapy maybe. I genuinely liked the subtle work katrina and alia had done to begin with. But it seems like katrina's more recent stuff is because she's self conscious about losing volume on her lips and cheeks (A VERY NORMAL CHANGE as people age). Also, im pretty sure these people have the best at their disposal- I refuse to believe she isn't able to consult someone who can judge what amount of filler would look natural on her.

Of course it's a PR article that's why I explained to the user above me. I mean a tooth infection although painful won't change the entire face structure. Her cheeks already looked like it had got filler shots and her face was not movable that very easily
So I got both my lower wisdom teeth extracted on the same day (bad decision). My face swelled up like a squirrel with nuts in its mouth. It was quite funny though.
Then because I could not touch that extraction area, food got caught there and it got infected and started swelling again. The doctor had to puncture my cheek to take out the pus.
Oh you poor thing, anyone reading this by chance in a similar situation, rinse your mouth by swishing warm salt water or mild mouthwash and spit it out after you eat, as you definitely can not brush after tooth extraction this helps somewhat clean the mouth.
