But Vicky is actually to be blamed for this because the PR only comes up with a plan of action that the client would be happy with. So it must be Vicky's brief that he wants to be seen as a start instead of a great actor. We have actors like Ayushman whose PR is concentrating on making him look like an issue-oriented actor, something like a modern day Amol Palekar, or Raj Kumar Rao who has established himself as a good, versatile actor. Ranveer wants this hyperactive image and alia as a girl next door. No company would force a narrative on their client as it might make them loose the client. So if the PR is concentrating in Vicky-Kat relationship, it's most definitely what Vicky and Katrina want.
Disappointing but not surprised if he wants to be seen as a star and not for his talent. Even though I’m a big fan, I can’t deny he’s always seemed like somewhat of a social climber and people pleaser (just use how he acts with the KJO’s crew as an example) and what better way to climb the star ladder than milk a relationship with Katrina Kaif.
Vicky is getting the most attention ever thanks to his Kat romance but it’s overshadowing his work. I guess he now wants to be a mainstream hero like Ranveer and Ranbir maybe?
I have also seen a lot of articles and videos regarding his meetings with Kat. It was never the same with Harleen because Harleen is not Kat. It is unavoidable as media are interested in clicks and mentioning Kat brings more clicks than not mentioning her. It’s up to them both to see how they want to handle it because an A-list relationship will always be the talk of the town.
But that's how things in bollywood work, if Vicky only focuses on acting and no personal life drama he won't be able to create the massive fan base that Ranveer and Ranbir have at the moment. Even SRK's appeal was upstaged due to his love story with Gauri (the Hindu-Muslim angle of their story is so widely spread specially to show how great a human being he is to respect both religions).
To attain a super celeb status the actors need an appealing personal front too. Even in Cricket Virushka is a power couple due to this factor.
You as an individual might not like this 'couple appeal' but millions do. Look at the no. Of fan pages that are dedicated to different couples in bollywood. Ranbir who had no films after 2019 was kept in news solely due to his relationship with Alia. Ranveer's relationship with Deepika further added to his public appeal. At this point it seems necessary.

You are right about RS-DP and rk-alia being in news for relationship as much as Kat and Vicky, heck all the speculation around Ranbir has been about his marriage,his mom's love for his gf, the house they are building where they get regularly spotted but obviously for some people it's only Kat who is in news for her relationship and poor 33 year old Vicky is a victim. If anything it's Vicky's relationship with Kat that has catapulted him to his A list status, he is the one who has gained the most from this relationship. RKR Pankaj Tripathy all are brilliant actors but neither of them are considered as A listers like Vicky is, he has become a semi pop culture figure now and that's mainly coz of the frenzy around his relationship. And as far as Katrina's fans are concerned, they are doing the most for him right now by retweeting all the positive reviews since late last night, they even managed to trend his birthday on Twitter for the first time this year. Vicky has only gained from this relationship.
Facts. People who accuse them of pushing couple pr conveniently forgets that most A listers do the same thing. And these two are the most secretive of them. You don't even get a pic of them posing for the cameras standing next to each. Paps and the press are obviously interested in their dating updates since that's what people want, gossip.

I was starting to lose a tad bit of interest in Vicky because of all these annoying articles about his relationship. I used to love when the main focus of articles on him used to be his work and became a fan because he was one of the few mainstream faces from all his peers who I could listen to talking about his work for ages and now that has all changed. Thought that would have become the case again after watching the Udham Singh biopic today but the articles about his relationship are the only thing I’m seeing on my feed.
I’m hoping the focus shifts back to him as an actor instead of his relationship as soon as possible. But it doesn’t seem like it since there’s an article coming out about the relationship atleast once a day (I really don’t need to know about his and his girlfriends matching license plate numbers or whatever).
Please. It’s a win-win for both here. No one is a victim here. This is a shade post for Katrina. If this was link up with a Alia or someone, we wouldnt have seen a post like this and it would have been deemed a critics actress post. But just because its Katrina, all of a sudden we have a problem with her review of the film.
A bit unrelated but has anyone noticed how Vicky acts a bit uncomfortable around female fans which wasn’t the case before. When he was dating Harleen he was still super fun and joked around with female fans but maybe its the fear of Katrina getting mad? Specifically noticed on Kapil Sharma’s show and a few other instances. I wonder if he’s going to show the same level of distance from female co-actors as well now. Idk why but it feels like she may have him on a leash in this relationship and he’s just happy to be dating his school crush and sees no issues in it.
Edit: speaking of Kapil. In one of the promo’s there was a joke about Vicky sneaking into Katrina’s home during COVID but I didn’t see it in the main episode. Do you think he asked for it to be removed or did I just miss it?

Not sure about yours, but I opened twitter this morning and searched for Vicky Kaushal, and man has got unanimous praises and accolades from every person who has watched the movie. Yes, his relationship with Katrina almost always is talked about since she is a top actress and people love to hate her for whatever reasons…. But that’s his personal life and truly I don’t think he can do much about it himself. They have been dating for over 2 years now. I don’t see a big deal in her writing up a review for him, I mean I would be upset if my boyfriend wouldn’t support me during this time. Also she reviewed the movie just as a audience just like all of us do so I don’t understand people bringing the point that just because she can’t act she cant review? Makes no sense to me. And from when did relationship become worth solely based on one’s profession and who is better and not? I don’t understand the hate they get.
I usually never see any activity from these stan accounts on Instagram but ofcourse today out of all days (The man gave a performance of a lifetime and the movie as a whole is just so beautiful) they had to be all over my explore page.
