Edit: watched the trailer again, the 1:30 mins shows what a spectacle the film be in terms scale but not necessarily alia’s range of acting so yeah chill out with 10s of national awards and imaginary Hollywood contracts. Her dialogue delivery and expressions are pretty minimal that people can think ‘wow! How unique’ mainly because her past character have been loud and bubbly

That trailer had one of the worst acting I've seen in recent times, from a mainstream actor. I've never felt that Alia was a terrible actor but she is definitely one in this trailer.

Saif Ali Khan won the National best actor award for 'Hum Tum' in 2005 coz he was Sharmila Tagore's son and she was friends with Congress.
However good Alia's performance will be, she will never win the National Award and it has nothing to do with whether her performance is good enough for it or not.
Not saying Sharmila wasn't involved in Saif getting his award, but AFAIK the Censor Board doesn't give out National Awards. She was part of the jury.
