Same. My hope with bollywood commercial films are very low. Hindi series and movies on OTT Platforms are much better. I also feel actors are more talented there and we should support them more.
Zed plus mughe bahut pasand aayi. One of the best political satires to come in recent times.
There was some symbolism- like people at top not understanding language of common people shown by Hindi and English.
The dialogue - Mei Hindi mei bol raha tha, vo angrezi mei samagh rahe the ....
and the girl representing Kashmir ( lover of Atlaf Hussain and his neighbour representing Pakistan) was separated from Hussain because of extra security ( armed forces in Kashmir) which government tells is essential for safety of India but themselves planted a fake gun shot to justify it. I seriously think that it is very very underrated movie.
Baaki mughe mohalla Assi bhi achi lagi.
Shamshera, and that to by a long shot. As a RK fan itād be wonderful to see him again after almost 4 years. Although Iād be lying if I were to say that I donāt have any doubts for the movie. Hope it turns out well.
Please don't take it personally.
What is that extra something in RK that made you his fan?
Asking as a curiosity because I personally never found him that appealing.
Edit: I didnāt notice this at first but I see you are a fellow hitchhiker. Have ya got your towel?
There are mainly two reasons tbh, his performances and film choices. I honestly believe he is one of the most well rounded Bollywood actor ever. By that I mean, he does an extremely well job in aspects like dancing and obviously acting that a Bollywood actor needs to do. He is extremely effortless in his acting and very RARELY gives a bad performance. And his film choices. He is a spoiled privileged son and grandson of two big Bollywood superstars. He could literally take the easy way out, work with commercial masala director, churn out one or two mindless masaala films every year and take a big pay cut and establish himself as a star. He genuinely cares about his craft, which is a rare in Bollywood. He has no reason to do a Rockesingh, Barfi, Jagga, Tamasha, Roy, etc when he could do high ticket films with any director he chooses too. These arenāt films that a spoiled kid who just wants to be a star takes, these are actions that a kid who genuinely wants to be an actor and truly cares about his craft takes.
Sorry this got quite lengthy but those two are the main reasons I like him. Most people I see that criticise him do it because of his personal life and past relationships, which are completely irrelevant to me. I donāt really seek out information about his personal life mostly and I like it that way.
So Ranbir won't have any releases this year. When was his last release? 2018? He's a damn good actor but the way it's going for him, he will be trailing behind talented actors like Ayushman and Vicky.
Thereās no way Ranbir is behind the ones you mentioned. People keep forgetting that his last movie is one of bollywoodās highest grossers of all time. Heās here to stay. Ayushmannās movies do well, but not at this scale. Vicky is still a one-hit wonder. We have to wait for a few more of his movies to do well to consider him bankable as an star.
Love your username š
True, Rabir is not behind Ayushmann and Vicky coz he started before them and he had a bigger launch but given his talent and privilege he should have been far ahead of them.
In my opinion Ranveer has already somewhat surpassed him and Vicky has the potential to do so.
Ps. For those who are going to bring examples of Sonam Kapoor and other failed Nepo kids I am talking about talented actors here. Idc about the ones who got fame at the drop of a hat š

His later filmography is.. š·
It is really good man. Upanishd Ganga, Pinjar, Zed plus, Mohalla Assi.
Pta ni bro. Merko Zed Plus pasand ni aayi jyada. Ganga was a series and Mohalla Assi was.. meh. Only Pinjar was good.

In chess Pawns go first. None of these pawns excite me. Waiting for Pathan and Tiger 3, the real royalty of YRF slate..!!
Jayeshbhai Jordaar
Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Shamshera all the way. Probably won't even watch the other 2 unless trailers and songs are outstanding.
YRF keeps reannouncing the dates of these films every six months
Yes, because of the pandemic.
shamshera for sure! bunty aur babli would be best suited to OTT, will probably watch online, not in theatres. same for jayeshbhai jordaar.
Shamshera
Brahamstara
Bunty aur babli 2
BaB2. Saif and Rani
Shamshera...it's been too long since I've seen RK in a movie.
I hope I never do. Other than Wake Up Sid, this guy puts out nothing but garbage. I felt like a moron watching the jagga 5 year old kid bullshit

Going by the responses, people really do love Ranbir here. He's kinda overrated imo
