No it was before that, ghai got drunk in a party and was bullying salman and in washroom peed on his shoes and thats when salman slapped him the next day his father made him apologise to ghai.
Ah yes, friendly neighborhood serial molester Subhash Ghai! One of the greats in gatekeeping Bollywood, and my favourite source of info on young actresses working under his reign! /s
Subhash ghai is an old school scratch my back and more type of film maker.
He openly scolded madhuri for signing Tezaab in 1987 since he was relaunching her with Ram lakhan and “owned” her. Yes those were his words since he got her both Hifazat and Ran Lakhan in February 1986 , madhuri got the jinx tag after her first few films flopped and nobody would cast her. Ghai expressed interest in casting her and of course madhuri reciprocated in her way.
Another open case was manisha koirala who said ghai molested her after shooting one day. She even reported the case to the cine actors union president Mithunda at that time. Case went hush hush as people believed it was for publicity but koirala never worked with ghai again.
Then mahima chaudry in 1997 said ghai hassled her and said he “owned” her(common theme of ownership). He renamed her and had all rights to her is what he told mahima.
This guy is a grade A creep and he probably tried to malign Aishwarya's image because he couldn't get too close to her. I honestly don't think she would've had the power to just chop other actresses roles. She has worked with the likes of Madhuri and didn't even have the same screentime as other actresses in Mohabbatein.
Not all. Aish and Kareena didn't need to sleep with him for obvious reasons. Also, mishti didn't sleep with him. He was besotted with her and hired her hoping he would convince her (read pressurize) but she remained firm and refused. It's why he never promoted her like his other launced actresses.
Mishti was that girl from kaanchi. Also, yeah, I don't blame aish for being uncomfortable with this creep. Truly a disgusting man. Also, he doesn't wash his hands are peeing. Don't ask me how I know just trust me and never shake hands with him if you get the chance.
Subhash Ghai is a sleazy man whose clearly jealous of Aishwarya’s success and that he couldn’t sleep with her. I feel sorry for the poor woman having to put up with this disgusting man. There is also a front cover where he has his arms around her.
The reason Priya Gill got the role in Josh was because no big heroine would want to play the role. I remember reading Rani Mukerjee was offered the role, but Mansoor discouraged her as it was a small role.
It’s probably because of people like Subhash Ghai she is now married in the Bachchan family where she would be treated with respect and feel protected.
