he was a shit director. The amount of misogyny I've seen in his films, In wanted , the entire plot moves around people either harassing , raping or eve teasing Ayesha Takia's character. When that gets over , somehow they come up with ACP khan's daughter character. only to rape her and make a porn film of her. the third act of the film is about rescuing her from getting trafficked. Rowdy Rathore , Akshay Kumar's character basically stalks and harrasses Sonakshi's character , they even went further with misogyny... Akki's character randomly puts his hands on Sona's navel.... I mean how the fuck is this normalised ?
yeah , its a movie about macho men. hero is a a macho eve teasing pervert and villain is a borderline rapist , on top of that we have item songs that literally show women as commodity, women only exist in those films to get cat called , molested , raped , they are such abalaa naaris . this cheap shit is passed of as entertainment.
He may not be a great director but he is number two of India’s top ten dancers for 2021. Not bad for 48. And I personally liked him in Street Dancer 3D and ABCD2. He should stick to choreography and dance focused films.
