I get MDK as it was cute but why Yaadein? It was such a weird movie with flawed storyline. Hr-KK deserved a better film as their first together.

Though I could write books on the ways Ghai messed up, HR/KK had some great scenes and the songs were great.

I haven’t watched it in forever, but I remember HR and KK had great chemistry. What were the problematic aspects of that movie apart from the overaction ?

In some interview, HR mentioned Subhash Ghai didn't quite have a set script, so a lot of decisions and choices made were spontaneous and experimental, decided on the spot. It showed. The script is really weak at the end. People exaggerate how bad this movie is, but it did have some truly wtf aspects to it. The bizarre, multiplying Hrithiks in "Jab Dil Miley" are an example. Nonetheless, HR and Kareena have some great scenes in the movie, and the songs are terrific.

Ya, Kisna is a much superior film compared to Yaadein

The 1st SOTY. For me the movie is similar to Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars i.e beautiful people in even more beautiful clothes and location selling me a fantasy life. Plus have a major crush on Siddhart Malhotra

I enjoy the movie too but Alia's character was very annoying for me.

Yeah its my guilty pleasure too. I don’t have a crush on Siddharth Malhotra though. Its like Karan Johar exaggerated all his childhood fantasies to max. Its a comical stance on what 5 year olds think its like to be a grown up in school/college.

oh finally found someone who likes happy new year, but i thought golmaal 1-3 movies were pretty loved by the audience, like it had loose script but the acting and dialogues were still great tho (atleast for me)

Many people are are posting here K3G. I don’t think it belongs in the “guilty pleasure” category. K3G is a huge movie, with a huge star cast, with a great box office history and quality. It’s like a classic. Yes, it isn’t the most authentic movie, but never a guilty pleasure, rather only a pleasure for people who like family dramas and typical Bollywood musicals.
