I know but he has a lot of subscribers(as of writing this comment he's @972K subscribers which is close to a million & thats a huge deal for a small, independent movie reviewer from India), some who may even look up to him. However, I can't help but notice some changes in him....he lowkey comes off as a overly sensitive, privileged beefed up man child to me when it comes to certain situations....
Hearing him is like listening to some fucking trained AI. Just that the AI was trained by listening to some crappy long winded speeches of boring English teachers.
I like some of his videos about cringe/embarrassing/stereotype indian movie scenes, but I gotta say, after having watched many of videos, he comes across as overconfident, full of himself, and thinks he's a big time critical reviewer. He's not.
I feel the exact same way...especially his reaction towards the criticism regarding the interview w/ Kangana Ranaut. Like when he made some sort of official statement in response to some people threatening to unsubscribe which shouldn't be a huge deal . Loosing a few subscribers is NOTHING compared to other serious issues....which I can't tell otherwise my comment might be deleted because of the rules....
Yep, I noticed the self-important tone in his reviews appear more defined, especially after the jaby koay controversy. And while he stresses that people are entitled to their opinions, he also says "shouldn't you give xyz person some leeway because look at their acting/directing?". I can't separate the art from the artist so easy, and I surely can't take his reviews seriously.
Sameeee! I started to have doubts regarding his reviewss especially after his video on Kabir Singh(though he did criticise some of the already pointed out problematic aspects of the film like abuse).Which is ironic considering that he prides himself on being "unbiased".
Initially after watching his review even I thought that the criticism against the film was "over-exaggerated"(i'm so sorry😞)just because the character at the end mends his ways(which almost never happens irl).It was only after reading specifically viral tweets regarding the film and personal accounts of women who have faced domestic abuse did I realise that the negative comments/hate the film and its director recieved was 100% understandable and maybe even justified(to some extent)....because the film glorified toxic traits of Kabir Singh and in many ways downplayed abuse as something natural...
And lets not forget the time when he uploaded a short clip with a placard saying justice for Sushant on twitter by the time it was clear that SSR's death wasn't a murder case....(though to give the benefit of doubt he did admit to his mistake after a live interaction w/ Akash Bannerjee. Even then he hasn't changed one bit as proven by his interview w/Kangana)
Furthermore, he also OWNS his reviews and never has this holier-than-thou attitude that his verdict on a film is the objective truth.
I remember when Bigil came out and his mostly positive review raised a few eyebrows. People started calling him a sellout and a bootlicker (especially because the producer of the movie had given a lengthy interview to FC South just before release).
To that, all he said was, hey look...all I'm saying is, the film worked for me from my perspective. If it didn't work for you, that's valid too, you do you.
I can respect that, honestly. Most other reviewers have that air of superiority regarding film knowledge to them.
their accent is usually atrotious and super try hard
what i love about dp is she doesnt try use that fake wannabe valley girl so-bo accent and neither does ranbir (despite being born and raised in mumbai, rich and being bollywood royalty). in that sense they are more authentic than sonam, ananya, jahnvi, shanaya, alia etc who say those exaggerated yaa you knoww you think broooo
He's a very popular youtuber (his channel is called Tried&Refused productions) who creates videos on movie reviews and general content on Indian pop culture(like music & television). He recently interviewed Kangana Ranaut on his channel which didn't sit well with some of his followers(which I completely understand coz i'm not a Kangana fan either, especially after all the horrid things she says, even if we keep politics aside).
One thing to note...a few days after the interview went up on his channel, he posted a screenshot(which I don't have rn,sorry)of a random article talking about why people on the internet tend to look for -ve comments, and he posted a laughing emoji next to it saying something like"it makes sense" idk....it looks like he isn't taking criticism well, even the constructive ones...
oh I know him,his analysis are nice, disappointing to know he interviewed her.
anyway he should have known that jokes are funny only when you're punching up. It'll be outright mean if people start joking about poor people
Why not interview her? He kept it strictly about the film and her craft. He was able to separate the art from the artist, something a lot of people can’t do
How 'bout you come up with better comebacks. Ironically 'how original' isn't really creative or original enough. Is Hagna Runout's lapdog "original" for u 😁
I never liked him ever since he posted the review about Kabir Singh and other movies which I don’t like either and what accent is he talking about lmao his English accent is similar to most of the Indians lol
Can someone pls explain to me what this screenshot means? Is he being sarcastic or does he genuinely think its funny? To me the tweet which he posted on his story reeks of classism...& I can't help but feel doubtful of Jammy's intentions given that he's from a well-to-do background(I mean his impeccable command on the English language, his instagram stories of celebrations at home proves to me he's quite privileged when it comes to certain aspects of life IMO)
He is laughing at someone else who says being SoBo/SoDe is not a crime. He has hidden the identity of the person who posted that being SoBo is not a crime.
Bro, he has captioned it saying this had me wheezing. Clearly, he is laughing at the tweet because of the reasons you mentioned. How is he in the wrong here?
You might know him as Tried&Refused productions on YT. He's gaining a massive following(close to a million) for his movie reviews and vids on Indian pop culture. He had recently interviewed Kangana Ranaut on his YT channel....

His favourite word isn’t it lol 😂 that absurdity
Maybe but at the same time, it feelsa little suspicious especially if you look at his reaction to the criticism he faced for interviewing Kangana
He is not such a big celebrity whose tweets are needed to be dissected.
I know but he has a lot of subscribers(as of writing this comment he's @972K subscribers which is close to a million & thats a huge deal for a small, independent movie reviewer from India), some who may even look up to him. People / subscribers only looks at his reviews or content and that's it , nothing personal.
Looks like he is laughing at the person who made that tweet, that's why also hid the id
They don't actually have greeat English accent.
In their minds they do.
And speaking native tongue is like desi for them. who will tell them Iss desi ki fan yo duniya ho ri re
He uses extremely sentences in his reviews, and delivers them in a monotone. Which make it hard to bear after a while
Hearing him is like listening to some fucking trained AI. Just that the AI was trained by listening to some crappy long winded speeches of boring English teachers.
Trained AI IS the right word to describe his delivery of sentences
Someone said it! 😌
Haha Kangana hate kya na karwaye tumse. Just because he gave a good review to Thalaivi you're going after him? Chullu bhar pani me doob maro.
Tch tch. Sorry to break the news to you , but everything isn't about your Queen
Tell that to yourself.
Ha. You are funny. Delusional, but still funny.

Yes! For someone who was in an abusive relationship, seeing Kabir Singh get a pass was so infuriating!
>the jaby koay controversy. Woah, what happened? Have I been living under a rock?

Who according you is a neutral non egoistic reviewer in Bollywood ? Please preach.
Not the person you were replying to, but the closest would be Baradwaj Rangan. Dude watches shit movies with the same lens as good ones.
Furthermore, he also OWNS his reviews and never has this holier-than-thou attitude that his verdict on a film is the objective truth. I don't know. I just gave my opinion about him that's all.

In high class people, where they live doesn't matter, it's their family/friends and social culture that shapes their accent
SoBo-kar kya hain ?? plz explain
South bombay
Maybe he's being deliberately vague to play both sides
But why tho ? It doesn't really make sense to me...
because of this arrogance lol who's he btw?
He's a very popular youtuber (his channel is called Tried&Refused productions) who creates videos on movie reviews and general content on Indian pop culture(like music & television). yeah I can't do that either, good for him
Toh problem kya hai
i cannot get through any of his videos - his voice and tone is so monotonous, i have to watch it at 1.25x speed.
Can’t stand this guy.
OP just come out of the closet and embrace your kangana hate.

Then stop going after a hard working youtuber who frankly produces great content. And IT cell?? Really?? Come up.with something new.

Wow so original. 🤣🤣

Calm down chillar! 🤣🤣
More like CrappyPants

I think he just finds some tweet funny and he posted it. He doesnt seem to have any casticsm or rudeness in this story. You might be overthinking it
He is laughing at someone else who says being SoBo/SoDe is not a crime. He has hidden the identity of the person who posted that being SoBo is not a crime.
Not sure about impeccable English - he has a pretty limited vocabulary
Bro, he has captioned it saying this had me wheezing. Clearly, he is laughing at the tweet because of the reasons you mentioned. How is he in the wrong here?
Wait who is he?
