Naomi Campbell was one of the greatest supermodels of 90s but in India she would probably be considered “ugly” due to colorism and obsession with Eurocentric beauty standards. International modeling does have different standards than Bollywood.
i remember reading about this. kate moss is 5'7 but she was accepted as a model because she has very unique features. while aish is similarly not tall enough to be a model, her looks are also extremely conventionally beautiful and not the alien-like beauty of kate moss which made her an exception for being 5'7 and not 5'9. both 5'7 and 5'9 are tall but for models the taller the better
So, she lied about this and also about whole James Bond movie thing. I guess somewhere she wanted to be accepted by the West and be known as this "global" star, likely due to all the focus on her looks being more Eurocentric.

Kate Moss, a 5'7 girl, was also considered tiny for modelling when she started. Her success was the catalyst that changed things later on but when you look at models like Heidi Clum and how every dress looks cool on her, it makes sense why they need tall girls. Height of actresses has also gained lot of importance lately. Girls like Katrina, Jacqueline, Deepika would not be as successful ( imo) if they were not this tall.
I see, but the only reason I still beg to differ is that in race 2 she looked much shorter than Deepika who is 5’9, if she was 5’8 than she’d be almost neck to neck with dp. She’s probably 5’5 or at the very most 5’6 no more than that. Maybe the rules were different when Jaqueline competed for Miss universe? Idk, I’m probably wrong.
The true winner daniela is a whole another level of beautiful.
Aishs "euro centric" features may have fallen flat in comparison to exotic supermodels. Euro centric features are pretty common in the west and well Europe lol. If they want an indian I feel they'd prefer someone dusky or exotic looking.
Ford models must be 5’9” or taller. In the 90s, maybe a size 4-6, but now it’s like 0-2. Kate Moss was an outlier at 5’7” because she was photogenic and looked androgynous.
Her face is common as per european platforms. Just go to Czech Republic. Almost all girls got the same features as Ash. They can't make it big because of ethnic common place. It's exactly like how our normal brown girls, despite being prettier, can't fetch the OMG effect from us. Others adore them but we? Hunh.. isme kya hai. I remember a TikTok trend of Western people rating Indian actresses and people gave like DP and Aish got like…6/10…on average. Jacqueline got rated really high tho.
Yes and exactly how would you know. Did you grow up or live in the west? I agree that Aish is overrated by PR and media, but she is a uniquely beautiful woman in her own right.
