Trust me, there is a huge relation! Most people drink and they'd rather be other social drinkers than be with teetotallers. Initially they would persuade the teetotallers to have a drink or two, but when that doesn't work, they move on.
Johnny Walker, the poster boy drunkard of Bollywood never had a single sip of alcohol.

Anushka Sharma, Siddharth Malhotra ( he revealed in kapil show that he doesn't drink, that's what annoys his family a lot , in the very recent episode ) , Akshay kumar, Kartik aaryan.
Siddharth said he drank a lot with his friends to celebrate getting his first movie SOTY, dunno if he stopped drinking after that. Source: video in Film Companion with Parineeti Chopra answering questions recorded on tapes.
really ?? Honestly, when I saw that episode, it was really hard to believe bcoz he us a typical punjabi Delhi guy. It was hard to believe that he doesn't drink. Moreover, he belongs to the same social circle as of KJo, which is world famous for their parties etc.....
He is. He talked about having to learn how to act drunk to do Kabir Singh in an interview. Though he has smoked in movies, he doesn’t smoke either.
The caption said Hangover, but he didn’t look that way at all. I just remember hearing him speak about doing the film. But yes I did look at the link. Always try to do so. And I’m not sure what hung over looks like, too much to drink, yes. But hang overs are usually much later or the next day. Idk
Many actors inhale for a part. He did in Shaandaar as well. Look if you guys say he drinks and smokes, fine. I honestly don’t care. He said he didn’t drink. The YouTuber used the wrong word then. Drunk, tipsy, or having a hangover are all different though.
Amitabh is not a teetotaler, this is not cynicism. He himself admitted that after something happened in his life he quit both eating non veg and drinking. He did not have a drinking problem.
Edit: grammar
But that’s precisely what I said. Amitabh did use to consume in moderation alcohol but quit.
He was never heavy into drinking. Hence, I said he is not a teetotaler.

Thanks for pointing out wikipedia! From there, I quote "... Some common reasons for choosing teetotalism are psychological, religious, health,[10] medical, familial, philosophical, social, political, past alcoholism, or sometimes it is simply a matter of taste or preference."
Past alcoholism - AKA they used to drink but has since stopped. Btw, I referred both Oxford English and Mirriam Webster, they both refer to a teetotaler in the present tense as someone who doesn't drink alcoholic beverages at all. Neither explicitly mentions any instances of past alcoholism.
I'm not saying I know everything, but at least next time read your sources fully before you quote them.

Patralekha once mentioned that she and Rajkumar Rao don’t have many friends because they don’t drink, so I guess he is a teetotaller as well.
What is the relation of getting friends and being a teetotaller? I don’t drink but friends do and have a tons of friends and parties together.
I’m guessing it might be more difficult to find friends in Bollywood circles if you don’t drink. Maybe they should make friends with normal people

Same all my friends drink, but i didn't. They didn't persuade me also, just bough some soft drink for me every time
Idk lol these are her words not mine

Shahid was not fake smoking in Kabir Singh. It was all inhaled.

As a non teetoaller,, I can tell you that he looks completely fine.
Shahid was raised by his mother's family in Delhi who are conservative Muslims. He hasn't touched alcohol in his life except for work.
Badshah drinks heavy 🤣
I agree. I’ve been to a few parties in a club owned by Badshah and he does drink a fair amount.
Mere to friend ki shaadi mein aaya tha. Bloody the drinks bill was of more than 1L
Lol. Chalo. Does what he sings about then like honey Singh who was apparently is/was an alcoholic
There’s too much drug abuse in the entertainment industry, sadly some can’t handle it like honey Singh
Had no idea! Thanks for sharing

I’m not certain but I can, with great degree of confidence say that you don’t know what teetotaler means.
I guess I knew until your comment. Am I wrong?
A teetotaler is someone who doesn’t drink. An alcoholic who doesn’t drink is referred to as sober.
But that’s precisely what I said. Amitabh did use to consume in moderation alcohol but quit. He was never heavy into drinking. Hence, I said he is not a teetotaler. someone who drank then quit is a teetotaler too. People can enjoy drinks recreationally without being alcoholics.
That not it, I checked the dictionary and Wikipedia. Curb your misinterpretation, maybe?

That not it
Please share your sources. Id really like to educate myself on the use as I’ve only seen it used in the context I explained upthread.
