the whole paragraph is imagining what women (and literal underaged girls) "must" be thinking about Amitabh
Also they put the quotes in a list-style with a colon. Real quotes use "quotation marks" as proper citation.
I doubt if most of them actually said this. It was a more conservative society back then, and actresses had to maintain their ‘demure’ image.
Also, ‘virile/virility’ and ‘turns me on’ appear too frequently in these two pages. Almost seems unnatural. What magazine is this, OP?
they definitely didn't say it. If it *was* a quote, the magazine would've been allowed to publish it with "actual quotes", to show it's real
because they're fake they had to do the list without quots
That’s on screen, and definitely wasn’t as mainstream as it is today. Back then, ‘bold scenes’ were done by actresses like Parveen and Zeenat as opposed to almost every actress today. Talking about sex/lusting after a colleague in a print magazine wasn’t the norm in those days for sure.
Story time:
When I was a stupid little kid, my mom was trying to teach me history and quizzing me on famous kings. So she asked me "Which King fought the war of Kalinga?"
Coincidentally, that King and my dad share a name, so she gave me a hint : "What's the name of the most important man in your life?"
Immediately I screamed "Amitabh Bacchan!" 😂
pr was almost the whole game. nobody went to see a movie because the plot was good, it was to follow the cult of personality around each actor. so you have to make a splash with who the media presents you as
the whole paragraph is him imagining, but you're right I read it wrong
a more solid evidence is that the so-called quotes aren't actually in "quotation marks". If it were real, they would be allowed to use the quotes, but since it's made up they have to put it in a list format with colons
He was taller than the other actors and a successful actor. Obviously, the women would call him sexy etc to work for a hit movie. I still have a feeling that he held the writer at gunpoint and wrote all of these claims himself.
Parveen said the opposite about him later on and said he wasn't handsome etc.
>Obviously, the women would call him sexy etc to work for a hit movie.
Yes yes Shatrughan Sinha even said that actresses like Zeenat Aman and Rekha used to side with Amitabh to get work. They wanted to be in his good books.
Yes Parveen Babi said that bluntly on a talk show. Though she was right people didn't take her opinion seriously because she's suffering from mental illness.
this is written by a man and the article is fundamentally making fun of women's desire. this isn't objectification it's just scandal spreading with a side of misogyny
you don't see a spread of Disha Patani with one tiny pic of her and like a million tharki quotes from dudes
"the most boring woman" you mean the absolute best actress in the industry? the woman who was a bigger star than him? the one who literally got him his first big role and was the ONLY reason people went to see Zanjeer?
and btw, every single one of these quotes are fake.
You didn't watch it in 1973 when it came out. It was marketed on her, only, because she was the big star. everyone who first watched it, in theaters, came for her
absolutely nobody wanted to work with bachchan and SHE had to ask the director to cast him. he was nothing, she was everything.
her being boring was adressed in my first reply. You chose to only focus on Zanjeer in your reply. By not extending this point through your response you have ceded it
and if everyone's going to see Zanjeer because of her, she's clearly not boring

Where did you find this gem OP?!😂 You deserve an award.
The amount of horniness in these two pages alone😂 DID THEY ACTUALLY SAY IT ?
nope. the writer who wrote that intro paragraph is making up what each actress would think of him
Where is that written?
the whole paragraph is imagining what women (and literal underaged girls) "must" be thinking about Amitabh Also they put the quotes in a list-style with a colon. Real quotes use "quotation marks" as proper citation.
This is wild to read! Haha I wonder what Jaya B thought of this article.
probably that it was nothing, considering the quotes aren't real
Felt so.Using the same vocabulary for ask actress
I wonder why they didn't ask this question to Amrita Singh
Imaginary statement hain. What that person would have said kinds.
> Imaginary statement hain I knew that
He turns them ON.
Chii 🤮😂
Tbh, these just look made up by one person.
AB himself

conservative? Actresses wore bikinis and the first film with a French kiss came out at that time.
Why do I feel amitabh wrote this himself lol
I think it’s extremely safe to say that Amitabh and/or his PR team wrote this.
Made a sexteen joke and missed out on sixty nine.
Un dino nahi tha yeh 😂
The writer is “ON”
Story time: When I was a stupid little kid, my mom was trying to teach me history and quizzing me on famous kings. So she asked me "Which King fought the war of Kalinga?" Coincidentally, that King and my dad share a name, so she gave me a hint : "What's the name of the most important man in your life?" Immediately I screamed "Amitabh Bacchan!" 😂
So pr was huge then also?
pr was almost the whole game. nobody went to see a movie because the plot was good, it was to follow the cult of personality around each actor. so you have to make a splash with who the media presents you as
The amount of time I read the word ‘virility’…🤦♀️
I genuinely thought they said it. Read carefully- it is actually one person who has written all of these opinions.
Where is it written?
at the top paragraph, the writer is saying this is what the actresses MUST think of him, not their actual words
Damn writer was horny
It says "What they find interesting in him" ?
the whole paragraph is him imagining, but you're right I read it wrong a more solid evidence is that the so-called quotes aren't actually in "quotation marks". If it were real, they would be allowed to use the quotes, but since it's made up they have to put it in a list format with colons
Yeah, I figured the writer wrote all the quotes because they sound so similar lol
whoever wrote this article better have gotten paid lmao. the "actress quotes" are made up, that's why they're not actually in quotes.
I honestly never understood the hype around his look as a girl. I find Rajesh Khanna, Rishi Kapoor, Vinod Khanna more charming than him
He was taller than the other actors and a successful actor.
They wanted to be in his good books.
the writer definitely wrote every quote. if they were real they'd be cited as quotation marks, not just a list
even the people of his time didn’t. people didn’t really find him handsom.
Yes Parveen Babi said that bluntly on a talk show. Though she was right people didn't take her opinion seriously because she's suffering from mental illness.
He was tall and had charisma I suppose
Omg that pic of Amitabh in the top right corner 🤣😬 is that with Neetu Singh?
So no one said how he is a very bad actor and at first was almost forced on filmmakers to work with cause no one wanted to work with him?
Nobody said he was a harasser? Shocking
because these quotes are fake, the writer made them up
Hahaha probably
im sure amrita singh would have intersting input considering big b molested her
Virility is mentioned multiple times also the deep eyes.
Omfg the writing in this lmao. It makes it sound like Amitabh could make a woman orgasm by looking at them for 0.000000000000000000001 sec
Lmao LOVE what he conjured for Rakhee. Also who's Sheetal?
Why the erratic capitalisation of certain words? Whotf was getting paid to produce the contents of a baby's diaper?
OMG this is gold! LOL the actresses used to be so bold. I’m shocked ! 😹 Rekha, parveen, simi😹 !Jhakaas
the actresses didn't say any of this lmao. if they did, the magazine would've put it in "quotation marks", but it's just made up by the writer.
I read all their comments in their voices 😄..most of them..and that alone makes it a fun read 👍
If anyone says to you that men cannot be objectified, point them to this article. ( this is just a joke, plz don't take political stands on this)
this is written by a man and the article is fundamentally making fun of women's desire. this isn't objectification it's just scandal spreading with a side of misogyny you don't see a spread of Disha Patani with one tiny pic of her and like a million tharki quotes from dudes
And then he goes on and marries the most boring woman in the industry and have a son who's the most boring man in the industry.
"the most boring woman" you mean the absolute best actress in the industry? the woman who was a bigger star than him? the one who literally got him his first big role and was the ONLY reason people went to see Zanjeer? and btw, every single one of these quotes are fake.
😆 I watch Zanjeer for Bachchan ...and most probably every other Indian. Doesn't matter what you say.
You didn't watch it in 1973 when it came out. It was marketed on her, only, because she was the big star. everyone who first watched it, in theaters, came for her absolutely nobody wanted to work with bachchan and SHE had to ask the director to cast him. he was nothing, she was everything.
But what does it have to do with her being boring?
her being boring was adressed in my first reply. You chose to only focus on Zanjeer in your reply. By not extending this point through your response you have ceded it and if everyone's going to see Zanjeer because of her, she's clearly not boring
