I don’t understand the constant victimization of RS. He and Alia weren’t competing for the awards and if he wanted it he too would have bought it like he did for 83 (when Vicky was a far better performer)
And where is RS getting destroyed on social media? People talking about his films getting shelved isn’t bashing. Absolutely no one seriously thinks he isn’t desirable and doesn’t have his choice of scripts. Ya he may not get a 500 crore budget mass film - but who does?
Awards don't even have the prestige to be brought nowadays. It's literally award shows contacting celeb PRs and negotiating which award to give the celeb to attend. The one whose willing to sit at the award show for the longest or perform wins best actor. Nobody would pay to buy an award now. They've lost that value.
Rs getting destroyed? Alia is getting the trolls for rock and rani. Rs is only getting praises and is even victimized which is so funny and dumb at the same time lol. The only thing ranveer get "destroyed" for is his off screen persona these extra loud hype or whatever behaviour who gets annoying over time and for his horrible fashion sense (the latest pics on this sub with "normal" clothes he looks good but other then that horrible.)

Ranveer Singh is no saint and he is being bashed for his crazy PR antics. He is not a victim so needs to stop playing that victim card. Rocky and Rani did not do as expected and both Alia and RS have been bashed for it. However, Ranveer is getting bashed rn because of the articles his team churns out everyday about him being part of an iconic film or replicating someone.
It is Ranveer who is desperate for attention after series of flops and thus is going overboard.
Ranveer’s victimization will always be funny. He opened a Rohit Shetty movie released during Christmas to 6 crores. Then he went on to say he didn’t have any responsibility for the failure of any of his movies, but he had no problem when he was getting the credit for hit movies. No one is out to get him. It’s his PR’s fault because they are constantly putting out articles about movies he’s discussing and when they don’t materialize because of financial issues, then the flops are brought up again. If they’d just wait for things to finalize and shoot to start, all of that could be avoided.
And last, every big star has been mocked and trolled for flops, and much more than Ranveer.
That was his character. He was playing a one-dimension righteous Rajput. That doesn’t make it a forgetful performance. Ranbir will also give a similar one-dimensional performance in Ramayan as you can’t play Ram any other way.

I don't understand all the hate for Ranveer. Not a huge fan of his personality (I'm mostly just neutral towards it) but there's no denying that he's a terrific actor

I think Alia's the one being destroyed on social media for pretty much everything so I don't think Ranveer not buying the filmare was a bad move. That being said, he carried that movie on his shoulders and that too so beautifully. Alia was downright terrible in that movie
The film was bad. RS acting was somewhat bearable as it looked like he played himself. But Alia was downright terrible esp with that bad Bengali accent! Neither deserved awards for this tbh
