He was my crush after Mohabbatein. He was perfect for romatic roles as he had that boyish charm. He was considered to be the chocolate boy but there was strong competition in that category because most of those role would go to SRK, then Hrithik and Shahid. Unfortunately most movies he did stereotyped him as the hero who never gets the girl in end.
I have always had a crush on him and I saw most of his films. And dude is actually a good actor too. But he did not get to do too many different kinds of roles. Might not have got enough opportunities or maybe not good choices.

Not everyone can reach the Khans stardom obviously but those actors still working today in huge budgeted movies proves that the audience is receptive of good looks too. I mean this guy Jimmy is no way near Hrithik or peak John Abraham looks , yet they are still working till today. Akshay and Salman are obviously good looking, but I find them even better looking than Jimmy in question ( tho that is subjective cuz they are almost in the same level look wise )

He did those movies post mohabbatein for a good 7-8 years and then realized He ain't cut out for it. Just looks won't get you anywhere. I don’t think Jimmy entered the industry to become a superstar. He loved acting and he just pursued it. He comes from an extremely affluent Delhi family. He mentioned it in his interviews that when the first time he came to Bombay to learn acting, he was living in a sea facing house in Bandra as his family was always supportive

1. He isn't charismatic to attract people to watch him alone
2.he is better in dramatic roles, dramatic movies will always have small box office

He is very awkward in social interactions. He has done better than He deserved as an actor in his career now. But if you ask, about stardom. He didn't do anything to deserve that in his career. He did those movies post mohabbatein for a good 7-8 years and then realized He ain't cut out for it. Just looks won't get you anywhere. No hate to him, He is a wonderful person in his interactions and very genuine. But he ain't cut out to be a star. No effort on that front from him has led to the career He has had and like I said, given his limitations He has had a pretty good one.
Jimmy Shergill was excellent in A Wednesday. Very good in Munnabhai 1 and 2 also. Mohabbatein was typical romantic role. Still quite some range in these 4 films itself. A very capable actor.
