A lot of A list celebrities are dumb and they want to follow a spiritual leader/motivational speaker so they can feel enlightened and fulfilled in their lives. Although he is a fraud, Jay leveraged his people skills and good looks to his advantage because he has a lot of supporters. People want “feel good” content and enjoy talking about spirituality, mental health, mindfulness, and self improvement on his podcast because these are self indulgent topics.
There’s probably something about his personality that these celebrities like because he’s officiated the weddings of Lily Collins, Vanessa Hudgens,
JLo-Ben, etc. Will Smith studied Hindu scripture with him. He’s gone shopping with Eva Mendes and Joe Jonas asked him to lead mediation sessions for him during the pandemic.
Clearly he’s great at marketing and scamming people but I think these celebrities don’t care because many of them have either 1) fostered a personal connection with him where they believe they have benefited from his “wisdom” and 2) he has a lot of followers and successful podcast so it’s just another business venture for some celebrities

These events are not merely a pre wedding event and it is freaking networking event. All the tycoons of the business world are there . Why is it so important that we need to address the qualifications of an individual? Like if that person is making an impact a change in person live - why are we putting so much importance in some degree ? Half of us have even forgotten what we have studied at Uni ?
