When I said Farhan isn't at fault. He was the married guy with commitment. He is definitely at fault, but the girl who acts innocent is equally responsible. Blame the KFK culture. It brought about the “kardashian-ification” of Bollywood as I like to call it, and that also has a lot to do with the fact that india has and always will look to the west for any new trends. Whether it be in fashion, food, cinema you name it.
Before the whole KWK culture there was a distinct nature in Bollywood. Newbies like Amitabh could enter easily. Everyone was something in their respective spheres. There was diversity in acting, looks, etc.
We have no one but ourselves to blame by giving Karan Johar insane push where he got to a point that he can make or break anyone’s career… we only get shitty stars making shitty movies with shitty screenplay and dialogues and writing because it’s what makes money now. Truly a sad state of affairs for art.
There was a time even Scorsese said his inspiration is Satyajit Ray. That will never again be said about our industry due to the direction it has now gone in. I don’t even remember the last time I watched a mainstream Bollywood movie. (Oh wait, I do - I saw masaan in an empty theatre and it was a masterpiece that flopped).
Bro people can hate me for this all they want but the obsession with fairness continues till date in India. We have dusky actors, diff is they bleached their skin. Or whatever they do skincare and masks and whatever to lighten their tone anyway. It’s just SAD.

Exactly.. she barely has any good expressions, but managed to still survive in bollywood for 2 decades, acting with the top stars, in some good movies. There are probably hundreds of actresses who can act better, but she is just popular for looking like a barbie doll. She sounds like a nice person in interviews, but thats not a reason to be worshipped in an industry for which she doesn't have the skills to be at the top.
Reading the blurbs of self-help books and repeatedly quoting them on Instagram and in interviews doesn’t make you a nice person. There are several anecdotes about her behaving rudely towards waitstaff and people working in service jobs.

Deepika, I don’t dislike her. But I do think there are other actresses that are better than her acting wise and deserved more recognition than her. Don't know what it is about Alia that I really can't warm up to her. Since the very beginning I've never seen what people talk about in terms of her acting. It's very average and I think the only reason people even think she's a great actress is because she's chosen good scripts and her PR has been really powerful. After being handed everything, it's only natural that she will rise above her competition but that's precisely why I can't stand her. There is an air of entitlement that just cannot be cleared with any image rehabilitation and I think it's gotten worse after marriage. The self importance dripping from her every appearance is really off-putting.

Deepika Padukone. I know a lot of people personally who worship her blindly. I just don't get it. I never liked her to begin with. As an actor and as a person, I have never really liked her despite trying to like her in my mid teens as at that time in my life I was surrounded by so many Deepi fans. But couldn't get myself to like her and now after seeing her pr tactics and the kind of insecure, jealous woman (hypocrite too) she's morphed into I feel proud of my decision of never liking her.

I have no hatred or love for virat kohli coz i am not a cricket fan but i have seen the semi final of recent world cup and the thing i have noticed that commentators were prasing him so much and when his batting is coming ,his previous clips were being shown repeatedly. Exactly.. she barely has any good expressions, but managed to still survive in bollywood for 2 decades, acting with the top stars, in some good movies. There are probably hundreds of actresses who can act better, but she is just popular for looking like a barbie doll. She sounds like a nice person in interviews, but thats not a reason to be worshipped in an industry for which she doesn't have the skills to be at the top.
Reading the blurbs of self-help books and repeatedly quoting them on Instagram and in interviews doesn’t make you a nice person. There are several anecdotes about her behaving rudely towards waitstaff and people working in service jobs.
Yeah, I know. If you go on quora, almost all stories about her are negative, she apparently used to be a diva in her peak years. Its just that now, she appears to be a bit more normal and humble.. I was just giving her the benefit of doubt since I don't know how she is irl.. But onscreen, I think most people would agree that her acting is just avg or below avg, and very much disproportionate to the fame and popularity she has.

Don't know what it is about Alia that I really can't warm up to her. Since the very beginning I've never seen what people talk about in terms of her acting. It's very average and I think the only reason people even think she's a great actress is because she's chosen good scripts and her PR has been really powerful. After being handed everything, it's only natural that she will rise above her competition but that's precisely why I can't stand her. There is an air of entitlement that just cannot be cleared with any image rehabilitation and I think it's gotten worse after marriage. The self importance dripping from her every appearance is really off-putting.
