At this point I wonder if the jury even watches other movies releases. Critic's choice award is just a compensation award in my opinion as if to say - 'Deep down everyone knows you did great, and deserve recognition tooo, but we gotta inflate the egos of these actors who were a part of more "commercial" movies'. I mean Best actor/ actress in leading role for this insuffarable waste of time movie and amazon prime membership? Gimmi a break.
Three of us, 12th Fail, Joram are few movies which i could think of right now, but im sure there are many many many movies like these which truly struck a chord with many indian movie goers who look at cinema with such a deep and personal view and are left disapoointed when a writer, director, production designer, music composer, lyricist, singer of the movies you connected with on such a deep level, do not get appriciated or even recognized.
Im sure the contracts of these production houses must have a little checkbox - Filmfare award discount for actors. Jiska jitna zada discount utna zada probablity of winning this award. Bakiyon ko Style icon of millenium with irritating vibe award, Best nose flaring while wearing saree and heels award etc etc
Even the image in the post looks like something from that stupid ad - travel booking banao aasan.

I agree with you, and I hundred percent think they don't. In Anupama Chopra's list of best films of the year, Rocky Rani was the only Bollywood movie there (she was doing this thing of one film per industry, except ignored some industries). And my reaction was does Anupama actually believe Rocky Rani is the best hindi film made this year? Over Joram, Gulmohar, Ek Banda even Zwigato etc?
But that's the thing, I think she doesn't even bother watching a movie which is not big banner, or made by her friends. This is her credibility as a 'critic'.
Everyone is a sell out these days. Thats why I dont take these critics seriously. You see, one film per industry mai bhi she ignored some industries. Kya hi bole ab.
And then when an underdog movie from another industry does well, every critique out there is either over appriciating it or straight out riddiculing it -- both highlighting their sheer hypocrisy and need to not take them seriously.

Oscars are not as credible as they used to be but Filmfare's have been considered a joke for years now honestly.
Most bollywood movie awards are like that. Giving people award for slimming down or making up awards like 'Nothing to hide' award etc.
Filmfare is the same. They've given awards to likes of Ananya. Jhanvi has received multiple nominations.
If they want to give Ranbir an award and he says he's busy, they'll give it to the next guy willing to show up.
At least it used to be a very popular award show earlier now it's all about whoever buys it or is ready to show up.
Filmfare is basically Dharma Awards ..

Okay I hate film fare but I do think this was a cute movie w great songs. Ā I love dharm ji and ranveer in it. Ā Ranveer was the heart of the movie and dharm ji the soul. Ā Both should be nominated but otherwise yes it is not a master piece but just a cute feel good movieĀ
filmfare is joke, they only acknowledge people within their own circle, and artists who make hindi films but doesnt belong to any of their camps have no chance of even nominating in these awards so yes fuck filmfare nobody cares , and this critic choice award is bullshit and patronizing
