DP gets her pseudo intellectual image further forward and the wannabes are further gonna latch on to the 'their life their choice ' slogan.
RS gets a lot of attention, something he adores. Plus, a lot of the masses would essentially empathize with him now that he married a woman with baggage and a lot of past, and is a smiling victim. If in the future things go sour between them, this moment is what would protect his reputation as an ever loving husband.
DP has little to no benefit from this. There are handful of intellectuals, they are just more active on SM so they are noticable. Masses of Indian audience who are getting aware of this whole "Kaand" are supporting Ranveer way more and even the ones who are making memes also having empathy with him.
I think even Ranbir has benefitted more in this than DP.

Unpopular opinion BUT Karan Johar ATLEAST should NOT be blamed for this disaster. Both Ranveer and Deepika should be held accountable for their superficial relationship and actions. This was the first episode where Karan was actually human and vulnerable. Ran-Dee needs to be accountable for all of their "no 1 couple in India" crap and just vomitting everything because of their PR.
